Fitbit Feed

What a difference a few hours make!

So, this day started horribly.  I had a really bad night's sleep and I woke up all out of sorts.  I was missing my Charge 2 something awful.  According to Fingerhut, it could take up to ten days for a return to go through.  That is not including the time for it to get to them and to get back to me!  I said, this is insane.  I also wanted to buy from a dealer that Fitbit supports so if another tracker messes up, they'll fix it.  I went to Paypal and applied for credit. I never thought I'd get it, but I got it!  I was able to ordered a Charge 2 from Target and go pick it up in store today!  It wasn't ready yet when I got there, so I got some Starbucks to help ease the wait.  I am now home and I'm charging the Fitbit.

I wasn't able to get the Teal band, but I have an aftermarket band that is teal and I can always order a teal one from Fitbit.  I got the new one in plum.  Blue and purple are my favorite colors, so that works out well! :P  I am anxious to see if this one is more accurate.  I can't wait to put it on and wear it.  I thought I'd love going back to my One, but I had already gotten used to my Charge being on my arm.  So much so that I forgot to wear my watch on my walk today! LOL!  I did walk though, I did all that before I got the new Fitbit.  Wish me luck that this one is perfect.  I am so happy that I was able to get it this way.  Now, I won't be paying twice as much for it.  It makes me feel a lot better, to be sure!

Wow, this is a cheerful post, yes? :P  I might come back later tonight and do a short update post when I see how the Fitbit is doing.  I am happy now that if it isn't okay, I can take care of it via Fitbit and not another place!

Fitbit Charge 2 gets returned!

Well, today, I noticed that my Charge was not counting steps right along my walk.  I logged my route on two different other fitness apps and it showed over six miles and the Fitbit only had me a little under 5!  I checked via Google Maps and I did walk six miles.  I contacted Fitbit, but since the place I got it from is not an 'authorized retailer' I have to go through them.

Well, I contacted them and they said to package it up and send it back and they'd send a replacement.  The shipping label they gave me needed postage and I am broke until next month! LOL!  I went on the site and decided to print one from there and get the box ready to ship when I had the money to ship.  The label they gave me to print online doesn't need postage! LOL!  Me: @_@ YAY!  So, I packed it up securely and I ran out and dropped it in a local box.  It has a tracking number, so I can keep up with when it gets to them.  I already am using my One.  I just hope it lasts until the new Charge 2 comes. It's so weird, I only had the Charge since Saturday, but I'm already used to it being on my wrist and I miss it!  Hopefully the new one will track better.  If not, I have a solution.  Today, I changed the walk to the one my fitness tracker said and I got the steps I should have gotten.  I don't want to have to do this if I don't have to, so hopefully the new tracker will be more accurate! ^_^

Fitbit Charge 2 day four

So, I've been using my Fitbit Charge for four full days as of today.  I am unhappy at the difference in steps from my One.  I'm having to work a lot harder just to get to my goal of steps each day.  Also, my sleep tracking is not doing right either.  I contacted Fitbit support today, but I didn't get any useful help.  They did give me a case number and I'm to contact them in a few days if it doesn't clear up.  I really hope it does. I want to love my new Charge 2.  I just want it to track my steps like my One and I'd also like my sleep to be better detected.  You can't start sleep mode on the Charge 2, it goes into sleep mode for you.  I preferred starting the One to sleep.  The Charge 2 keeps saying I'm not going to bed for hours and then I'm up and then I go back to bed!  I am hoping that a few more days will get everything back on track.

What a good day!

Why?  Well, I got in a good walk.  My Fitbit still doesn't count as many steps as my old one, but that is okay.  I'll just have to work harder to get in my steps!  I came home and did my workouts.  After those, I did my French lessons.  I had lunch and waited for the mail man. He dropped off my Fitbit bands.  The teal is gorgeous. I'm pretty sure it's the exact same shade as the Fitbit branded band.  The black is nice too.  I installed the Teal to see how well it fit.  It went on easily.  It looks good and feels good too.  I didn't even mind the regular band. I thought it was comfy.  I took a few pictures to share of the new bands and then what the back looks like on my arm:

They are really soft and flexible.  I like them.  I'll order more.   It will be nice to have bands in all colors for different outfits. :p

In other news, I went to the recycle center tonight. I've waited way too long to do that.  While I was out, I got some gas in my car and put some air in my tires.  They were all lower than I thought they were. I'm glad I did it.  After getting the gas, I decided to head to Starbucks.  I got in the drive-thru and asked if they had the cascara syrup.  They did! :D  I guess you know what I got.  I was so happy.  The barista said they'd had it for a little while now.  I'm so glad. I just love the cascara lattes. Yummy!

I left Starbucks and headed home.   I didn't have anywhere else to go, and I didn't get a lot of gas and it has to last until next month.  I don't have a lot, so hopefully it will get me through. I remembered that when I went to the grocery store that they had given me a coupon for up to 3 lbs of bananas.  I got those on my walk today.  I will be eating banana sammiches soon. The bananas are almost ripe.  I love it when they give me coupons for free goodies.

Yippee!

Guess what finally came in today's mail?  I'll give you a hint:

I fully charged it before putting it on and that was torture, let me tell you!  The band is the small size and it's the perfect fit. I'm so glad I didn't go with a larger band! The color is gorgeous and the picture doesn't do it justice.  I think I'm going to love it. I just have to get used to having it on my wrist all the time. I love that I won't have to wear a watch and a Fitbit.  I can just wear this.  The extra bands I ordered should be here on Monday.  I'll share pictures and give a review of them then.  I can't wait until tomorrow to track my walk with this.  I am curious to how close it is in counting as my One.  I'll update and let you know as I go.  It feel comfy on the wrist as I write this.  I love that it tracks my heart rate.  I already set my daily alarm that I use on my One.  I use it to wake up everyday.  I'm curious to how the alarm feels.  I need to go set one for a few minutes and see. lol

Okay, I just set it.  I'm waiting to see how the alarm feels. I'm hoping it's like my alarm on my One.  Less than a minute to find out!  I'll finish this post after the alarm....   Okay, it went off.  I don't think it's as noticeable as  the One, but I'm sure it will wake me up.  I hope! :P

PS My wrist is not broken although it looks it in that picture. LOL!

Goodness.

I am tired!  I got in my regular walk today.  I came home and did my workouts and my French lessons.  I am trying at another site to add to my French learning. My friend texted and said he'd pick me up at 5 and we'd eat and go for an adventure.  He also told me to wear my walking shoes!  I did.  He picked me up and we went to a local restaurant and then went to Martinsville, Virginia to a walking trail.  It's called the "Dick and Willie Passage"  No, I'm not making that up! :P  It is a nice little trail. We only walked about 1.5 miles of it and turned around and came back so our walk was a little over 3 miles.  It's a nice little trail and definitely something different!

We did that and then came back to Danville.  He dropped me off a few minutes ago.  My poor feet are so tired and they hurt.  I am trying to decide it I want to go soak in the tub or just plop on the bed with my Kindle!  I haven't decided yet. My Fitbit has left Roanoke Virginia.  It's UPS smartpost, so UPS won't deliver, USPS will.  That makes it take an extra day.  As of now, it says that it should be delivered on Saturday. I am hoping it updates and comes tomorrow.  I tried to get the delivery changed to the local UPS office, but it wouldn't let me change it.  Oh well.  I just want it to get here.  I want to try it on and see how I like it!  AHH!

I'm so totally sleepy.  I had four cups of coffee today.  Two at home and two at the restaurant.  They have good coffee.  I would have had three cups, but we didn't stay long.  We wanted to get to the trail.  We stopped at a Goodwill in Martinsville and I got a ceramic Jack o lantern, a bowl, and a vintage book from Southern Living magazine books.  It still has all the cards in the back to give to your friends so they can buy the book. It's from 1984!  It's pretty cool. It's called: Marcia McAlister's with house in hand...I love old stuff like that. It originally was 9.95 plus shipping. I paid a whole .49!

I found it on Amazon if you want to see!  It's listed for a lot more than I got it for. :P  HERE

Fitbit fun?

Well, it's better than woes, right?  Today, I got an alert from a panel that I had forgotten about.  It said my account had been deactivated and for me to cash out any rewards I had.  I figured I'd have none, but I actually had $20 that could be used at Amazon!  I ordered myself two bands for my Fitbit.  I wanted to have backup bands, plus I'd like to have some in different colors.  I ordered a plain black and a teal. Yes, my Fitbit is already teal, but I love the color.  I wanted a couple of other bands, but with shipping, the money I had didn't cover it.  I added those to my wish list and I'll get them later.  These two will be nice to have.

I got in my walk today and then did my workouts.  After those, I did my French lesson and fixed some lunch.  After fixing lunch and eating it, I went to a nearby gas station and got three dollars worth of gas in my gas can.  I came home, filled my mower, and mowed the front and part of the back lawn.  The rest of the lawn isn't really too bad.  I might not even have to mow it until I mow the front again.  We'll see!  I hate having to mow this early, but it needed it.

The bands I ordered have holes in the band and the description said they made the band more breathable.  The reviews on these particular bands are really favorable.  The bands I picked were only 5.99 each. The shipping was over six. lol  That is why I didn't get the two I liked the best.  These look like they will be comfy.  It's going to be weird getting used to sleeping in my Fitbit.  I do sleep with the One, but it has a soft band for sleep.

I also looked up protective glass for the Fitbit.  It's the same thing you put on cell phones to keep the phone from getting scratched.  Unfortunately, I thought about looking for these after I bought the bands. :p  I'll be very careful with the face of the Fitbit until I can get a set of these.

The Fitbit itself is currently in Kentucky.  It says it will be here in 3 days. I'm hoping it gets here Friday.  It would be cool to get it a day early. It is possible. It would be hilarious if I got the bands first! :P  They haven't even shipped yet.  Speaking of shipping, I mailed all my letters today.  It was such a site to see all those letters going into the box.  I hope to get to the post office before too  much longer and check my box again.  I don't like to let too much time go between checks.

Busy Friday...

So, I got in my walk today and it was nice out there.  It was really windy, but other than that, it was warm and nice.  I came home from my walk and had some coffee and was thinking of taking a nap.  Then, I realized that I had planned to run to the mall to pick up a wallet I'd seen over there before.  It was on sale for half price, so I went over and got it.  It's  BOC brand.  I'd never seen this brand before I saw it last month in Belk.  They have some cute stuff. It's a cell phone wristlet, but the pocket for the is way too small for my phone, so I am using it for my re-usable Starbucks sleeve.  The sleeve is grey and it matches the wallet. See:

By the way, I removed the strap so it isn't a wristlet now. :p I quite like it.  The white polka dotted thing in the background is a cool zip up binder I found at a local Goodwill. This is the inside:

I can't find any evidence of tags, so I'm thinking it might have been handmade. I absolutely love it.  It's so pretty!  I got one other goodie at the Goodwill, well... I got more goodies, but these are the ones I wanted to show you.  I got this cool stencil:

I thought it would be cool to use in my bullet journal! It was a mere fifty cents, so I bought it.  The other things I got were a plastic snowman, a tin with Jack o lanterns on it, some blank business card sheets, a mini coffee cup, and a Myrtle Beach t-shirt. LOL  I get back from the beach and buy a MB shirt at Goodwill!

My friend and I went to Eden, N.C. today to eat and walk.  We ended up eating and then going to Goodwill.  Walking wasn't done. lol  It's okay. I'd already gotten in my regular walk.  I also did my workouts so I'm all good.  Now, I plan to relax a bit before bed. I am still waiting on Fingerhut to ship my Fitbit!  They have a down payment for first time people and I did that yesterday, but they wait until it clears before shipping.  I understand why they do that, but I wish they could just send mine on.  I can't wait to see how I like it.

Fitbit woes part two!

So today I decided that I had to have a new Fitbit.  I have some credit with two different buy now / pay later places.  One of them did have the Fitbit I wanted.  It was a lot more than Fitbit sells if for, but I could get it via payments.  I ordered it.  I'm getting a Teal Fitbit Charge 2.  It will be the first time I've had a wrist model Fitbit. I've always had a Fitbit One. I prefer the One because no one has to know I have it unless I have it out in view.  With a wrist model, everyone knows.  Oh well.  I am hoping that it will be comfortable to wear.  We'll see how it goes.  I am very upset with just how much it will cost me after I finish paying for it, but I needed a new one and this is the only way I can afford anything.  I'll do a post on it when it comes.  If my One is still kicking when it comes, I'm going to wear them both for the day to see how the steps compare.

I got in two walks today!  I got my regular one in and came home and did my workouts.  I was relaxing when my friend texted and said something about maybe going for a walk.  I said why not and we did!  I am waiting on a load of laundry to finish drying so I can put it away. It looks as if I'm going to end my day with at least 25,000 steps as I'm at 24,515 now!  I'll get the rest of those in while putting the laundry away.

I am hoping that my Fitbit comes quickly. I picked this one because it has all of the features of my One but it has more.  It supposed to be able to show texts and calls on the display.  I don't really need that feature, but it's pretty cool.  Plus, I'll always have a watch on.  You can change the watch face.  Very cool!  I'll look into replacement bands next month and get several for different moods.  I think I'm going to like it.  At least I hope I do!

Fitbit woes

So last night, I was charging my Fitbit One and I noticed that the display was dim.  I couldn't figure out what was going on.  I checked Google and it seems others have had the issue.  The only thing to do is contact Fitbit.  I did, but mine is way out of warranty so there is nothing that can be done. :(  I've had my Fitbit for years and I don't know what I would do without it.  I looked up the One as Fitbit has discontinued it, but the only ones I can even somewhat afford are all broken ones. :(  PHOOEY!

I can still use this one, but it's almost impossible to see the display.  I will continue to use it until it dies.  I was looking at one of the sites that I have credit with.  They have fitness trackers, but none are Fitbits and none are very impressive looking!  I use my Fitbit One as a daily alarm to wake up by.  I use it to track my steps.  I don't want to be without it.  This is a replacement for my original one.  I found the old one and tried to charge it tonight to see if I could still use it, but it's totally dead.  The reason I got a replacement for that one is it wasn't holding a charge for very long.  Now it won't charge or come on at all.  I was hoping I'd be able to use it at least for the display.

I am very upset and disappointed.  I do like some of the newer Fitbit models and wouldn't mind getting one to try it, but I can't afford any of them.  The Charge 2 looks pretty neat and it has most of the same features at the One.  I am just at a loss.
