Getting to the end

I'm getting really close to finishing NaNo for this year.  I'm now at 48110 words! Less than 2000 and I'll have completed NaNo for this year. I only wrote a little under 1400 today.  I am still not sure if I plan to write more towards the end or go back and add to the earlier stuff.  Today was all new stuff at the end.  We'll see how it goes tomorrow.  I do plan to write tomorrow even though it's Thanksgiving here in the US.  

I got in my walk today and did my workouts.  Yes, I plan to do all that tomorrow too.  I'm not sure if I'd going anywhere.  My friend's that usually invite me haven't this year.  I'm not sure if they are even doing anything themselves.   I actually don't care either way.  Although, I wish I had been able to get the stuff to make myself a hash brown casserole or something good for tomorrow.  Oh well!  I'll have coffee.

Speaking of coffee, I ordered some gifts for my friends and I got myself a cute coffee gift basket at the same time.  It came today and it's so damn cute!

It had five little things of coffee, two packages of shortbread, two little jars of preserves, some candies, and a cute snowman mug.  The basket is cute.  I like baskets,and I like snowmen.  I LOVE coffee! I just hope it's all good.  I am not opening any until I finish what I have at the moment.  OH  There is also a coffee spoon that has chocolate and caramel on it to stir into your coffee.  Yummy!

 

 


NaNo I don't want to WritMo!

I'm in the home stretch, but I am not sure what to do to finish. I am actually at a good point for the book to end, but I'm several thousand words short.  What I think I'm going to do is finish it tomorrow and then go back and add a few scenes to early days to make it to 50,000 words.  I think that would be best.  I know there are a few parts that I need more things added.  I wrote 1667 today.  I am going to look over the earlier stuff and write myself some notes tonight to add content to the previous days.  I will get to my goal and win again this year!

My walk today was okay. I didn't have to go all the way to the post office, so that was nice. I'm glad I didn't because today was cardio on the workout calendar.  Yikes! LOL  That was hard and it got me all tired and sweaty.  It was good though.  

I did start on the second story in Strange Weather last night.  It's really good.  After I post this and do my French lesson, I'm going to read more of that.  I'm yawning my head off at the moment, so let me get my French done and get my Kindle before I fall asleep!


Almost there!

I'm now less than 5000 words from completely NaNo for my second year in a row!  I didn't write as much tonight as I usually do. It was my lowest word count of the month, but I got some done.  I have been so tired all day.  I woke up early and couldn't get back to sleep.  I finally did get back to sleep and it was time to get up.  I've been cranky and out of sorts all day!

I walked to the post office and mailed my one pen pal letter.  I had just one in my box!  At least I did have one, right?  I walked home, but with the longer walk, I got back later than usual.  I could have done my workouts, but I was really tired and sore so I decided I'd do them later.  I relaxed and then had lunch. I rested a bit after lunch and then did my workouts.  I was glad to get those done. I had almost been tempted to skip them.  I did those and had some dinner.  I fixed some coffee and sat down to do today's NaNo.  Like I said, it was a short day's write, but I got some written.  I only wrote 1164 words today.  I'm just over 45,000 though, so that is good!

I finished the first short story in Strange Weather a few nights ago but haven't started on the second one. I may do that tonight.  I"m currently listening to Full Dark, No Stars on my walk.  I finished 1922 today and started on Big Driver.  Full Dark, No Stars is excellent.  All four stories are good ones.  My favorite being 1922.

 


Saturday sabotage!

Okay, so maybe not that serious.  I got up and got ready for my walk today.  I heard a loud noise outside and thought to myself, what the heck was that!?  I looked out and didn't see anything so I turned around and then I noticed that the light was off.  I thought I had turned it on.  I looked around and noticed that none of my displays were lit.  Yup, something knocked the power out!

I went for my walk and hoped that it would be on when I got back. I wanted to get home, drink a cup of coffee and relax before doing my workouts.  The power was still out!  I texted a friend and he suggested we go eat since my power was out.  I couldn't fix coffee or do my workouts without power, so I said, yes!  We went to Reidsville, NC to a pizza place called Carmela's.  They have delicious pizza.  Afterwards, we wanted ice cream and I wanted coffee! LOL!  We went to the McDonald's.  He got ice cream and he got me one of their caramel macchiatos.  It wasn't bad!  

We came back to town and I came in and the lights were back. Yay!  I put my leftover pizza in the fridge and came to my room and did my workouts.  I got those done and then read some on Not Always Right.  I ate my leftovers for dinner and then did my NaNo for today. I got over 2000 words today and I am now past the 40,000 mark!  Yay!  All I have left to do is my French lesson on Duolingo and then I'm going to read with my Kindle until bed. ^_^


5 cups and not enough!

I've had five cups of coffee today and it still doesn't feel like enough! It's been a really long day.  I got up today and looked out and it was overcast.  The street was wet where it had rained earlier. I was hoping that the rain would hold off for me while I walked, but that was just wishful thinking! It rained for my entire walk.  Phooey!  I hate to walk and have to hold an umbrella.  It always makes my back ache.  I got home and I was so glad to get here. It not only was raining, but it was pretty cool out there too. I think it was upper 40's or mid 50's.  I got home and had to take off my clothes.  My jacket, my shirt and my workout capris were wet. I changed into warm and dry clothes and had some coffee!

I did my workouts, it was ab day.  I was really tempted to skip them today because I was so out of sorts because of the weather, but I didn't.  I did them and then had a few minutes to relax a bit before fixing lunch.  I did that and was going to start NaNo. I ended up watching an episode of Unsolved Mysteries on Hulu!  They added more of the original episodes.  After that, I fell into the rabbit hole that is "Not Always Right"  I also did my French.  I finally said, okay, time to Nano and sat down to write.  Yesterday after I posted here, I ended up with 1856 words.  Tonight I wrote 2116!  I could write more, but I'm at a good point to stop for now.  I downloaded Schrivener as a trial.  If you win NaNo, you can get it for 50% off after NaNo.  I downloaded the manual for it as a pdf and sent it to my Kindle.  I want to see if I like it and if I can figure out how to use it.  If I like it, I might purchase it after Nano.

I had seriously thought about going to Starbucks today.  As you know, Wednesday was always my day to go.  With it being so icky outside, I just decided to stay here.  I may go tomorrow or later this weekend depending on the weather.  Who knows?  I wanted to go and see if they have the new holiday gift cards out so I can add to my collection. I found a set of the 2016 ones on ebay and ordered those yesterday.  I hope our Starbucks has a complete set.  I wish I had known all these years that you didn't have to load them to collect them!

Anyway!  I have rambled on enough. I am going to figure out what I want for dinner after this.  I have everything else that I had on my to do list in my bullet journal done for today.  I have the rest of the evening to do anything I want. I'll probably end up either reading or watching more Unsolved Mysteries! :p


November means NaNoWriMo!

I am off to a roaring start on Nano, too!  I already have 2600 words written!  Yeah, I got on a roll.  I had my coffee, my Macbook, and my iPod playing Classical music.  I might stop now and just continue on tomorrow.  I think I've gotten a good start.  I may cut the first part out and put it in after the part I've written.  I think the book would start off better with that at a later point.  I may just cut it and work it in after the part I've written.  I just introduced two new character and I'm happy with them already.  I guess I should take a break.  I'm already over my projected words for the day.  It's good to start out strong.  I'm going to edit what I have to see if I want to cut the first part out and redo it or just add it towards the end of what I've written.  I can't decide if I want to leave it the way it is.  

I have a major plot line planned for things that are going to happen in this book.  I have a character that is going to come in and cause all kind of problems.  I'm not sure how quickly to introduce him though.  We'll see.  Plus, I still haven't picked out his name yet! LOL!  I have a background for him, I just don't know what to call him yet.  Okay, I'm going to see if I need to rearrange that first part and then go update my first word count for this years NaNo! :D

By the way, I did my walk and workouts today as usual.  It was nice out there.  One of the places I walk is on a sidewalk through a nice neighborhood.  I saw a lot of candy wrappers from last night's trick or treating!  Same on these kids for tossing their litter down.  I DID find three things of wrapped candy that some kids dropped.  I check out the packaging, no holes, so I ate it. :p  I also found a little set of cute pumpkin stickers that some one had dropped.  Yay for cute stickers! :)


Delicious errands!

I needed to take my book back to the library today and I wanted Starbucks.  I went out and my car started up okay, so I figured I would risk it.  I went and dropped the book in the book drop at the library and then went to Starbucks.  I got myself a cascara latte and a chocolate chip cookie.  It was so good!  It was a nice treat.  I had my cookie warmed and it was delicious.  I came home and my car did okay.  I am happy to have gotten my errand done and I was definitely happy to get Starbucks!

I took my walk earlier today and then came home and did my workouts.  I was getting back from my walk and there was a train completely blocking the track leading into my neighborhood.  I didn't want to stand there for who knows how long, so I walked down to the next crossing.  Unfortunately, that meant I had to walk on the side of the road for a bit.  I get to the other crossing and I'm walking up to it when I hear the gates coming down!  I had to wait for another train and then I finally was able to get into the neighborhood and head home.  I was so frustrated, but I had coffee when I got here, so that helped. :P  I had a little time to relax before starting my workouts, so that was good.  There were two on there that are not my favorites.  I was not happy, but I did them! ^_^

I'm watching Primetime Justice with Ashleigh Banfield on HLN and then I'm going to fix some dinner.  I enjoy this show.  I found it not long after it debuted on HLN.  I hope it sticks around!


On a roll....

A Hawaiian roll would be good right now.  LOL No, not that kind of roll, unfortunately.  I'm on a roll today. I did my usual morning routine and then had breakfast.  I then got up and go dressed and headed out for my walk to the bank and to the grocery store.  I went to the bank and cashed my check.  I left there and went to Rose's and picked up a few things and then went to Food Lion and got one thing.  I headed back home then as I it was a dairy item and I didn't want to keep it out too long.

I got home and realized I had some time to relax a bit before my workouts.  I went on Hulu and saw that the newest Simpsons episode was up.  IT was the Treehouse of Horror one and I was happy to see it.  They usually air it a lot earlier in the month.  I watched that and then did my workouts.  It was a PIIT style workout and I was going, "Oh, this isn't so bad." On the first round.  Let's just say by the end, I was like.... I shouldn't have said that! LOL!  I was all sweaty and tired.  Luckily, I had a few minutes to cool down and relax before going to fix lunch!  I just had lunch actually.  It was good!

I know I usually post later in the day, well, except when I am at the beach! I wanted to get a blog post done while I was sitting down and relaxing for a bit.  I may take another walk tonight, I'm not sure yet.  We'll see! ^_^ On my earlier walk, I caught another Pikachu with Witch hat.  YAY! I will evolve him into a Raichu so I'll have one of each with a hat. :p


Whoo Boy!

First off,  it's been a long day.  I came really close to skipping my workouts today, I was feeling really icky when I would have normally done them today.  I put them off until after dinner this evening. Then, I said, I'll just skip them today.  I decided that not doing them was not what I wanted.  I just finished them. I'm so tired.  There were four arm/back workouts which weren't too bad, but there was also the #100burpeeburnout on there. YIKES!!!!!!!! Yes, I did them.  Yes, I'm tired!

I ran out to the post office earlier today, but I didn't have any pen pal letters.  I had some other mail, but no letters. :(  My pen pal letters have been pretty slow lately.  Oh well, I have two to write to and I only have one stamp.  If I write these two letters before Tuesday, I'll have to wait until then to mail them when I can buy some stamps. 

Today, I did some work on my bedroom.  I got a new bedset yesterday and the matching valences came today.  I changed some things around in my room and hung the new valences.  Everything looks nice!  I'll take some pictures tomorrow.  I have bad lighting in my house, so it's best to take pictures during the day!

Okay, I'm off to get a few more things done.  I have laundry in the dryer that needs to be taken out, folded, and put away.  I also have a few more things to get done.  I'm just proud of myself for getting my workouts done! :D 


One more post today....

It stormed this afternoon after I posted.  It was raining really hard and there was streak lightning.  It was great!  After the storm passed, I went for a walk on the beach.  I found some cool shells.  I came back and relaxed for awhile and then did my daily workouts.  As if that wasn't enough, I went for another walk on the beach! I played Pokemon Go as I walked and I got a lot of Pokemon. I have walked over 22,000 steps today.  I'm hoping I've tired myself out so that I can crash hard tonight.  I want to sleep!  

I am watching Forensic Files on HLN at the moment.  I'll watch it until I go to bed.  I've seen every one of the episodes that they've showed tonight.  Oh well. It's one of those shows that is so good, I don't mind watching it again.
