One more post today....

It stormed this afternoon after I posted.  It was raining really hard and there was streak lightning.  It was great!  After the storm passed, I went for a walk on the beach.  I found some cool shells.  I came back and relaxed for awhile and then did my daily workouts.  As if that wasn't enough, I went for another walk on the beach! I played Pokemon Go as I walked and I got a lot of Pokemon. I have walked over 22,000 steps today.  I'm hoping I've tired myself out so that I can crash hard tonight.  I want to sleep!  

I am watching Forensic Files on HLN at the moment.  I'll watch it until I go to bed.  I've seen every one of the episodes that they've showed tonight.  Oh well. It's one of those shows that is so good, I don't mind watching it again.  


First full day so far....

So, I told you in my earlier post that I might post again today.  Well, I'm posting!  I wanted to tell you about my day up until now.  I ate leftover pizza this morning and had three cups of coffee!  My friend and I sat on the balcony for a while just enjoying the view.  I decided after a bit to go out.  He wasn't ready to go yet, so I went out and walked.  I went to Big Lots, Dollar General, and several different beachwear stores.  All are having good end of the season sales.  I got two NICE t-shirts in the Bargain Beachwear (My favorite beachwear shops) for $10!  I thought that was a great deal.  One is the an exact match to one I got in June but in a different color.  It's red.  The other shirt I got today is blue.  Both are pretty.  

I also found myself a really nice heavy duty coffee mug in another beachwear store.  I can't remember which one at the moment. I always bring my bestie a present from the beach that is something to do with turtles.  It's getting harder and harder to find something different to carry her.  I found something though.  I won't mention it in case she reads this. :p

In that store, I found a pink long tank that I bought half off of the sale price, I think I paid $4 for it  I will use it as a beach cover up and it can also be a good workout shirt for at home.  I went in soooo many beachwear shops.  It's a nice diversion and it's usually nice and cool in them!

I came back here and I have my phone charging.  It went down to 11% while I was out. Oops!  I forgot that it wasn't fully charged when I left the room.  It's charging now and hopefully it will be pretty close to full when we go out tonight.  I am not sure where exactly we are going.  He mentioned perhaps the Dead Dog Saloon as we both love it.  We had planned to do that tomorrow night, but neither of us like the guy who is performing tomorrow night.  They have live music at the restaurant.

So, I may update again later tonight and I may just do it tomorrow. We'll see.  OH! I did my workouts this afternoon.  It was cardio.  WAH!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL  I did them though.  After I post this, I'm going to do my French lesson with Duolingo and then wait to see what we are going to do tonight.  I took a picture with Photobooth of the ocean. I don't think it will look as good as a picture from my phone, but I'll share it here:

Starting fresh on Monday!

I have decided that on Monday, I'm going to start fresh on my eating. I'm going to limit my calories to the range of 1200 to no more than 1400.  I have been eating entirely too much junk!  I know I can do this as I have done it before.  I want to get back to the weight I was last year at this time and then down to my goal weight.  Does this mean no more Starbucks?  No, of course not!  I won't be getting cookies and extras, but I'll still be getting cascara lattes.  The one reason I loved the cascara lattes was that they were a lot lower in calories than the other lattes and it's perfectly sweet.  I make it even less calories because I always get mine with almond milk.  

So, this weekend, I'm trying to get rid of anything that will not be good for me starting on Monday.  I have a bag of chicken breasts in the fridge that I've had for a bit.  I can make one of those for dinner or lunch.  I know it's going to be hard, but I also know I can do it.  I have a head start this time as I don't drink soda anymore.  Back in the day, the calories included sodas.  With me drinking water, it is calorie free.  Also, my coffee isn't much on calories either.  The coffee itself is calorie free.  I use a little creamer cup (10 calories) and honey as my sweetener.  It's less than 100 a cup.  I may also just do the creamer and skip the honey.  I am determined to do this!

 


Hoo boy!

So, I decided I wanted to do something totally different with my bedroom.  I wanted to move my bed to a different spot.  I moved a bunch of stuff in my room, and then moved my bed.  I didn't like how it fit in the spot I had picked.  It was a bit too big for the spot and it hung out a little bit in front of the window.  I didn't like that, so I moved it back!  It took a lot longer than it should have.  I did get the areas behind some of the furniture cleaned up though!  These pieces are hardly ever moved, so it was nice to get back there and clean those up.  I dusted and swept the entire corner.  Everything is back in place now and I'm tired!  I usually eat dinner at 8pm.  I just finished it about five minutes ago!  

Earlier today, I went with a couple of friends to Starbucks to get the bogof on the Caramel Macchiato deal.  I used my new tumbler and I love it!  It was BUSY in there.  I saw two of the regulars that I know from the old location.  My friend had an errand to run and we went and did that and then went back to Starbucks to the drive thru.  My friend's mom and son wanted Starbucks too! LOL  We got them theirs and took it to them.

I went home and fixed lunch as it was time to eat.  I relaxed and did some stuff around the house and then did my workouts.  It was later than usual, but they got done!  I was just watching television and trying to figure out how I wanted to move my room around.  I did that and as I said before, I moved it back! LOL

I am going to watch some Unsolved Mysteries and relax until bedtime.  I hope to get a good night's sleep!


It's Wednesday and I forgot to wear pink!

I did get to ride a bike last night.  My butt didn't like it one bit. :p  My hands went numb from holding the handlebars.  It was fun to ride though.  I ended up riding a bit over 4 miles.  I tracked my ride with Endomondo!  It was pretty fun. I might do it again sometime.  I prefer walking, though!

Today, my workouts were all cardio. YIKES!  Well, four were cardio and one was a new video that wasn't cardio. Thank goodness. :P  I got those done at the regular time.  I then relaxed a bit before fixing lunch.  I found out that Hulu is now showing the original Unsolved Mysteries!  Yes, the ones with Robert Stack! :D  I LOVE the original show.  I've been watching for the last few days since I found out. So cool!  I love the way that do the updates at the end of the segments if there have been resolutions.  It's cool.  I really loved the show and I'm loving re-watching it!


Sunday, again.

So, today was busy!  After I got out of bed, I put my bed linen in to wash.  I did my workouts in the afternoon and then had lunch.  I ran out after that to mail my pen pal letters.  I had three more waiting on me.  I stopped by the park and hit a few Pokestops and then headed home.  I relaxed for a bit and then decided I was going to mow the front lawn. I had just filled the mower and was about to start when I got a text. My friend wanted to know if I wanted to walk.  I didn't, really, but I said, okay.

I went in and changed my shoes and waited for him.  We walked a little over 4 miles and then got something to eat.  I rode with him to the bank and then I came home and mowed the front lawn.  It was getting dark as I was finishing.  I had originally planned to do the front and part of the back, but since it was so late, and dark, I just got the front done.  That looks good.  I will have to check tomorrow to make sure that I didn't miss any spots. lol

I washed my hair and now I'm sitting here with it up in a towel. My bed linen is in the dryer and hopefully it will be dry soon so I can put it back on the bed.  I am looking forward to clean bed linen. ^_^


UGH!!!!!!!!

I gave in to my cravings today and ate too much. :(  I'm never going to get to my goal weight or my previous weight at this rate.  I really need to be more proactive with my health.  I keep telling myself I will and then I just don't. I suck! :(  I need to quit wanting the wrong kinds of food.  I have a lot of frozen fruit.  I need to start making smoothies.  I could substitute one of those when I want a snack or something bad for me.  I really need to do that.  I remember at one time, I saw a site that had 'premade' smoothie bags. You put your ingredients (that you use for a smoothie) in a freezer bag and then when you want a smoothie, you just toss the contents in the blender.  I need to do that!  I forget how much I love them.  I always have unsweetened almond milk in the house, so I have something to blend the fruit with.  I just need to get my butt to doing that.  If I do make a smoothie 'make ahead pack' I'll take pictures! :P

Today was stretch day on the calendar.  I love stretch day.  I still can't do a split.  I'm beginning to think I never will. :(  I just don't think my body is made to do it.  I can do Pigeon pose all damn day, but no splits.  Oh well, I'll keep trying!  


Sunday

Okay, so a real post for once.  I don't have a killer headache.  I do have a slight one, but that is normal for me.  I have been busy today.  I washed my bed linen and put it back on the bed.  I also washed another load of clothes.  They are in the dryer now.  They are probably done so I should go check on those.

I also washed dishes  i climbed up to my roof to see if I could find a place where the water was getting into the house.  The area I needed to get to is almost impossible.  I didn't have anyone to hold the ladder, either.  I went up and looked, but to get to the area I needed to inspect, I would have to get on the roof. It's not level at this point and the ladder wasn't very sturdy, so I didn't go up there.  Hopefully I can get a friend to come by and hold the ladder so I can go up and inspect.  The other thing is that there are bushes blocking where I need to ladder to go so that I can just look at the spot from the ladder.  I'll try again another day.

I did my workouts and then mad the mistake of seeing what tomorrow's workouts were.  The 100 burpee burnout is on it.  Oh no!  I'll get through it, but it won't be easy! :p  I went up to a friend's house for a bit tonight. I haven't been up there in a while.  I got to see my favorite mini Dachshund, Cocoa. She is so cute! 

I found out last night that I could do my Duolingo lessons on the computer.  I had been doing them on the phone, but I went to the website just out of curiosity last night and found that I could do them on the laptop.  That was pretty cool.  You can add a timed feature on the website that isn't available in the app.  I like it.  I'll continue to do them on the phone and on the laptop.  It just depends where I am at the time.  Being on the go, the phone would be the obvious choice.

I didn't go out today.  I meant to, and then I never did.  I really need a few groceries, but I'm broke.  I was looking up ways online to make twenty dollar today and they all looked shady so I just said, nope!  I will just have to wait until I get my money next month.  I hate being out of stuff and broke!

I need to go take a bath and wash my hair. I also need to get the things out of the dryer.  I'll have all the things on my to do list in my bullet journal done after that.  I like having a completed list. ^_^


Hello!

So I actually had the time today to sit down and do a real post.  I've been pretty busy today, but I wanted to post here.  I am drying my hair at the moment, so it seemed the perfect time to do a good blog post.  It is Sunday so that means bed linen day.  I've already gotten that washed and back on the bed.  I did another smaller load of laundry too.  I've put that away.  I organized one of my cabinets and did some other cleaning.  

My workouts today were abs.  I know I'll be feeling that tomorrow!  Hopefully I'll get to walk tomorrow evening.  I need to sit down and write pen pal letters tomorrow too.  I meant to do that today and time just got away from me.  I have several more things I need to do before bed, so I won't get those done tonight.  

Tomorrow I will be really busy as I'll have some money.  I plan to go and get gas in my car and get some groceries and other things that I need.  I hope to do that before workout time.  I'll do those and then have lunch.  I am hoping that my friend and I walk after that.  It will definitely be great to have good food in the house and gas in my car.  I need to run and get a few things while I'm out, too.  Hopefully I'll be able to get everything done that I need to get done tomorrow.

I will also try to come and make a decent post here.  I am going to finish drying my hair while doing my daily French lesson.  I've been using Duolingo to learn French.  I learned it in high school, but that was a looooong time ago!  I really wanted to learn Japanese, but it doesn't offer it.  Hopefully one day!  So far, I've been using Duolingo for a little over a month now.  I've been using it everyday and I'm only about 6% fluent in French, but the learning is fun! 


Walk again and more

We walked again today. At first I wasn't sure if we would be able to because they were calling for rain.  It was overcast for our entire walk, but it didn't rain a drop!  It was nice to get the walk in.  Afterwards, I went by the grocery store and picked up a few items to get me through until Monday.  I am pretty proud of walking today. Why?  Because of today's workouts!  They were extremely hard on my butt, legs, and calves.  Walking after that took some determination, but I did it!

I can't believe that tomorrow is the last day of March.  That means on Saturday I can officially use my new bullet journal.  I have been using both this week since my March tracker is still in the old one.  I'm so ready for my new one.  It's so much lighter. lol  Plus, it's still intact! :P
