Almost at 35,000!

Yes, I'm only about three hundred words away and I'll hit the thirty five thousand mark on NaNo!  I just finished my writing for today.  I am actually doing it earlier tonight.  I had so wanted to go to Starbucks and write tonight, but I didn't go.  They were having double star day, and that would have been nice, but I just never got up and went!  Oh well.  I did have a lot of delicious coffee at home. :p

I went on my walk today and then did my workouts.  It was ab day.  That was painful, but it was a reprieve from the burpees of yesterday! LOL!  I am glad I didn't have to do any with any of today's workouts.  Tomorrow is total body torture day, so who knows there may be burpees. Yikes!

I actually did go to bed earlier last night, but I still feel like I didn't sleep much at all!  I am sleepy now.  I might have dinner and then climb in bed with the Kindle and read until time for bed.  I am not sure yet.  I don't have anything else I need to do today.  I have to decide on dinner.  I have no clue what I want to fix!  Oh well, I'll figure it out!  For now, I'm going to read more on Not Always Right and then worry about dinner!

So chilly!

There was a freeze warning here last night and it actually did get down below freezing.  When I got up today, it was still pretty chilly. I wore an extra layer on today's walk and it came in handy!  I finished listening to The Stand on today's walk.  I'll start back on Cell tomorrow.    I am still reading on Sleeping Beauties.  It's good, but it seems to me that it's taking me a long time to finish it. I usually just breeze through his books.  I'll keep at it and finish it so I can start Strange Weather.  After that, I'll go for a search at the library and see what I can find.  Our library got rid of a LOT of books and they don't have as big of a selection as they used to. This makes me sad.  Hopefully, they will have some good book in the ebook section I can get.

I haven't gotten around to NaNo yet today, I'll do that later. It's really early yet.  I seem to write better in the evenings.  I want to go to Starbucks, but I just don't feel like driving over there today!  Maybe I'll go tomorrow or Monday.  I told a friend about the BOGOF on the holiday drinks thinking she'd suggest we go, but so far, she hasn't.  Oh well. I'd rather have a cascara latte anyway! :p

Dammit! I have a cause of the hiccups at the moment and it's really getting on my nerves.  Hopefully that will pass soon. I'm definitely not going to try to write while hiccuping! LOL  Maybe I'll get my pen pal letters written. I only have three to answer.  Hopefully when I got to the post office, I'll have a bunch more!  Mail has been so slow lately.  I have a few pals that I used to hear from regularly, and I haven't heard from either one in a long time.  I think I might send them both a little card to check in. I don't know if they just stopped writing, something happened, or they never got my last letter.  Hopefully I'll get a response!

Almost 9000

Yes, I have almost 9000 words for NanoWriMo so far.  I might write more today, I'm not sure yet. I decided to take a break for a bit.  I hit 1879 for today and I had 1856 yesterday.  I would have had more yesterday, but I was interrupted by a friend's phone call.  I was at a good count, so I stopped.  I can't believe I'm so close to 10,000 words!  It's flowing easily.  The story to me seems a bit boring though.  I don't know.  It might not be that bad.  I'm just very critical of it.   Oh well!

I had a cup of coffee during my writing session.  The Seattle's best coffee is GOOD.  I really like it a lot.  I will definitely buy it again!  It felt funny putting it in my Starbucks tumbler. :P  Shh!  Anyway, it was delicious.  I would like to try more varieties of their coffees.

I got in my walk today.  It was overcast and chilly for the entire walk, but it didn't rain at all.  I was glad about that!  It's such a pain to walk carrying an umbrella!  I came home from my walk and relaxed a little bit, I then did my workouts and had lunch.  I watched Friday's episode of Deadly Women while I still have PS Vue.  I will only have a for a few more days, so I wanted to watch that.  After that went off, I made my coffee and settled in with the Macbook  I am writing in a program called Bean.  It's what I used last year for Nano too.  It's a good little program and it's free!  I like it.

After I post this, I might get out my Kindle and read for a bit.  I am not sure yet.  I don't need to write anymore today, but I still might do that.  It's really early yet, so who know?  I do know I'm probably going to take a bath and soak in their a bit.  We turn our clocks back here tonight so I'll get an extra hour of sleep.  That is always good, but the time change always screws up my sleep schedule!  Let's hope it isn't too bad.

Monday musings.

I went for my walk today and it was sunny and nice.  Well, it was a bit chilly, but I took care of that by wearing my hoodie.  I walked a bit further than I have been doing since I knew today's workout was a PIIT routine and it wouldn't take but half an hour to do.  They were only half an hour long, but they were HARD! I made it through though, so that was good.  After I finished my workouts, I took a small break and then washed dishes so I could fix lunch.

I'm now sitting at my desk looking out the window and watching a show about the Heaven's Gate cult on HLN.  It actually aired last night, but I saved it to my 'DVR' and I'm watching it now.  I can't believe these people actually believed this stuff.  It's sad what some people believe!

I read more of Sleeping Beauties last night.  I'm about 11% in and so far it's really good.  I think I'm going to like it.  It's got a lot going on.  After I finish posting here, I'll probably grab the Kindle and read some more on it.  I am in the mood to take a nap, but if I do, I won't sleep tonight.  I would take a bath, but I don't want to fall asleep in there. lol  I take really hot baths and they are sooooo relaxing!

Reading with coffee is life!

So last night, I went to the ebook section of my library on the laptop.   I wanted to see if I could get Stephen King's new book with his son Owen. I was also looking for the new Joe Hill book. (King's other son)  I found The Fireman available.  It's been out a while and I haven't read it yet.  I checked it out and then put a hold on Sleeping Beauties and Strange Weather.  It said I was on the wait list. One of them even said I was number 16 of 16 waiting.  Today, I get an email saying that both my books are available!  Weird.  So, I went ahead and sent them to my Kindle.  I'm almost midway through The Fireman. It's good so far.  It drew me in right away last night.  So much so that I was late going to bed! :P  After I finish it, I'll read Sleeping Beauties and then Strange Weather.  I still can't get over how they were both not available last night and now they are on my Kindle.  Weird!  Oh well!

I got in a bit of a longer walk today.  That was pretty nice.  I came home and relaxed a bit and then my workouts. It was stretch day on the calendar and it was much needed.  I love stretching.  I should start adding one of my her stretch videos to my regular workouts everyday.  I used to do one each night, but for some reason, I got out of the habit.  Maybe I should get back into that habit!

Right now, though, I'm going to fix a cup of coffee and grab my Kindle. I want to read more of The Fireman.  I also need to write some notes for Nano.  I can't believe that it's less than a week away!  I'm still wavering between last years books continuation or something entirely different.

Finally!

I can sit and write a blog post for today.  It's been a long and busy one!  This morning, I got up and took the dogs out and then brought them in and had some glorious coffee.  I really needed it as I slept horribly last night.  I enjoyed every sip!  I did a few of my morning things and then had breakfast and more coffee! :P  I called my friend around 1:30 to check on their progress home.  They had just walked in their door!  I was surprised!  I jumped up, dressed, and walked the two dogs up.  Then, she drove me back down to get the crate and food that was left.  I rode with her to take that back and then I headed home.  I was going to do my workouts right then as it was almost time to do them, but I was tired and hot so I decided I'd get them in later.

I watched Sailor Moon until time for lunch.  I'm less than ten episodes from finishing! WAH!  I had a delicious lunch and then I went for a walk.  I walked down to Ballou Park.  I went in the park and then across the street into the shopping center.  I went in Dollar General to look around and then headed back.  I got a cute reusable drink cup in there that looks like a cola can.  It has  pink lid and there are gumballs on it.  I didn't really need it, but I bought it.  I thought it was on sale for 70% off, but it only rang up as 25% off.  I declined at first, but she tossed it in a hand basket to take back later and I felt bad for it so I bought it! LOL  Yeah, I'm weird.  In any case, it's now sitting here on my desk until I decide if I'm going to use it for drinks or for something else!

I ran out of the creamer that I really like today.  It's International Delight brand and the flavor is Caramel Macchiato.  When I bought it this month, I had a coupon for two of their products.  I got one of those and one of the one touch latte cans.  I also saw the store brand of the caramel creamer and decided to try it.  I did and it's almost exactly the same at the ID one. It's good and a bit cheaper.  That is always a good thing!

I came back from my walk and relaxed a bit.  It was really hot as I walked pretty fast.  I had my dinner and then watched some shows on HLN.  I did my workouts.  I washed two loads of clothes today and both are put away.  I also took a bath and washed my hair.  I'm all caught up on everything I needed to do today.  Go me!  Now, I'm just going to grab the Kindle and read until bedtime.  I hope to sleep well tonight.  I'll have the bed to myself, so that might help. You wouldn't think two little dogs would take up SO MUCH space! LOL!

Zombie fiction

I have to admit, I love reading a good zombie book.  The other day, a friend of mine asked me if I had read The Forest of Hands and Teeth.  I hadn't, so I went to look at my local library to see if it was available to download via their e-book site.  It was and I downloaded it to my Kindle.  The night I got it, I read 70% of it and finished the rest of it last night.  It was pretty decent.  Not enough zombie action though.  I have read so many books in this genre.

My favorite triology was by Mira Grant.  The first book was Feed.  This was some GREAT zombie fiction.  I've also read all of the Lanherne Chronicles, all of the Zombie Games books, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.  There are many more that I can't think of at the moment.  In any case, I love a good zombie novel.  If you have any suggestions, please let me know.
