Layouts!

I'm looking online for inspiration for weekly layouts for my new bujo.  I want to do a two page spread of two weeks.  I have been doing a two page, one week spread.  I want this bujo to last a long time as I've spent a lot of time setting it up so far.  I've found several different layouts that I like.  I just have to choose one and use it!  I have a couple that I'm going back and forth between.  I might do one for one side and the other for the other.  That way I can see them side by side and see how they work for me.  

In other news, I went for a walk tonight.  I just got home a few minutes ago.  My friend needed to run by a store and I went with him. Then he wanted to eat dinner, and it was time for my dinner!  We went to Cici's.   I probably ate a little more than I should have, but it was good!  I am now home and relaxing.  I'm going to put those two spreads in my bujo and see which one I like the best.  I'll be sure to share them soon. :)


Goodbye February!

It's the last day of February and that means that tomorrow is March.  Spring is definitely coming soon!  It's been really nice here lately.  Today it was quite warm and nice.  It's been in the 60's and 70's here lately.  Very unseasonable, but I'm not complaining!  I am so ready for the warm weather.  I am not a fan of winter!

I see when checking my stats, that only this blog gets visitors.  My bullet journal blog and my pen pal blog haven't been visited.  I am thinking of consolidating those blogs into this one and just have it all in one place.  At least here, someone might see those posts! :)  I wonder if there is a simple way to do that?  I'd like to just have them all move over for me.  That would make life easier!

Tomorrow, I start a new stretch project with Blogilates!  Cassey has a #stretchrevolution event for March. I've been working on my stretching on my own for the past several weeks.  I'd like to be able to get into splits.  I'm very happy to begin this program tomorrow.  I'll keep on working on my flexibility until I can do the splits!  I still have quite a bit of space between myself and the floor when trying, but I can see improvement.  I am definitely getting more flexible!

I went to the post office yesterday and I had two letters.  One from a brand new pen pal and one from one that I sent out a new pal letter to recently.  It's always great to get new pals.  I'm going to write letters either tonight or tomorrow.  I am not sure which, yet.  

I guess that is all for now.  I hope to continue to post here more often.  If I can get my other blogs merged into this one, you'll see that soon! 


Yes, I know....

I haven't posted in almost a week.  Sorry about that.  Life has been hectic.  I walked my regular walk on Thursday.  On Friday, I started out, but it was just so hot.  I stayed at the park and walked and then came home.  I only got in 5 miles instead of my usual 8.5.  Saturday and Sunday were forecast to be extremely hot so I skipped those days.  I planned on walking today, but I went outside just for a moment and it was stifling. I wasn't even in the sun!  I was in the shade and it still felt horrible.  

I feel bad missing three days in a row.  I'm really hoping to be able to go tomorrow.  It's still supposed to be hot, but I'm hoping it's a bit cooler.  I was going to walk earlier this evening, but it was still insanely hot.  It's got to cool down some soon!  This is crazy!  

I was gone Saturday for most of the day.  When I finally got home, it was late, so I skipped my workouts.  Sunday, I did Saturday's and Sunday's!  I did today's on time today.  This heat is something else.  It makes it hard to sleep too.  I have the air conditioner on high AND a fan blowing on me.  I hate cold weather, but at this point, I'd really enjoy some cool weather.

In any case, I'm sorry I haven't posted.  I was going to post last night, but I got my workouts in late and it was almost midnight.  I figured I would just wait for today to post.  I haven't been to the post office since Thursday!  I need to walk so I can go.  Hopefully I'll have some letters.  As of now, I only have one to take with me to Starbucks on Wednesday.

Okay, I'll close this for now.  I want to relax a bit before bed.  I want to sleep well tonight! I need it!


Monday, Monday....

I got in my walk today.  It wasn't too hot, so that was nice.  It still was too hot to be walking. I did it anyway!  I came home and did all but one of my workouts.  I ate lunch and did one more.  I would have gotten out the weed eater and gotten some more done, but the cord won't go any further than it did yesterday.  Phooey!  Oh well.  A friend said she'd come down and get that part with her riding lawn mower.  She didn't make it today, though.  Hopefully tomorrow. 

I did give my bathroom a good cleaning.  It looks so much better!  I scrubbed everything.  I changed the rug and swept the floor.  I should have mopped, but I never got around to it.  It looks great in there.  I've been needing to do it for a while now.  

I hadn't posted my last four days workouts to Insta.  I finally did that today.  I did Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and today's. I just never post them.  I did that in a single post today.  I also posted a few pictures of other stuff.  I really need to post more things to Insta than just my workouts!  It's mainly a fitness account though.  Most of my followers are fellow Popsters. :)

I didn't get any mail today.  That was disappointing.  I only have two letters for Wednesday.  Hopefully I'll get a few more between now and then.  I feel like everyone has stopped writing.  I think I'm just impatient and want letters NOW! lol   Hopefully some letters will come soon.  I'd love to get a few new pals, too.  It seems like every time I get a new pal, it's an inmate. I don't mind writing inmates, it's just that we usually don't have a lot in common!  They do write a lot faster than everyone else though.  Oh well, I guess I'll close this post.  I think I'm going to one of my pen pal sites and see if anyone interesting has been added recently. 


Another Friday failure!

I actually did start my walk today.  Unfortunately I only got in 2 miles.  My friend called and I ended up going with them to Gretna to get ice cream.  I didn't get any, so I didn't do too badly!  I just never got my walk finished. Oh well, I've told myself that it doesn't hurt to miss walks every now and then.  Plus, I tried to eat a little less today than usual to make up for the calories I would haveburned on the walk.

I did my Blogilates workouts. It is rest day so they were stretches.  I love stretch day. It always feels good to get all stretched out.  I still can't do a split, but I'll continue to work on it.  I might get out my #journeytosplits printout and try again in June.  I have always wanted to be able to do a split!

Now I am going to balance my checkbook.  I'm one of those weirdos that actually think that is fun!  I'll do that and then relax a bit before bed.  It's been cooler at night and it's good sleeping weather.  I love to have a cool room and a bed with a ton of blankets on it.  It makes a comfy nest!


Good grief!

So, it was supposed to rain all day today.  I had decided to take the day off from walking and go out with my friends.  I get up and prepare to go with them and notice that the sun is out!!!!!  I was not amused.  If I had known it would be nice, I wouldn't have made plans with my friends.  Hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow, too!  One thing though, we went to the library downtown.  I walk past the library every day on my walks.  While we were in there, it rained a little bit.  After we got back to their house to drop stuff off and head back out, it rained some more.  So, technically, it DID rain today.  Oh well.  I have got to realize that taking days off every so often isn't going to hurt me.  I feel guilty when I miss my walks.  I just work on the feeling guilty part!

After I came home from being with them, I did my Blogilates workouts. It's Friday, so it was stretch videos on the calendar. Those were nice.  I enjoyed them.  I still can't do splits. :(  Someday!  I hope to work on them and try to get into them.  I am still several inches from the floor.

While my friend was downtown, she stopped by the post office so I could run in and check my box.  I had four letters! YAY!  I was happy to see my mailbox looking so full.  I'll have plenty of letters for my Starbucks trip this week!

At the library, I got a few true crime books, three computer books, (web design ideas, blogging, CSS)  I would like to learn CSS.  The others I figured would be good choices to read to develop ideas for the blog!  I also signed up for a free online class that teaches CSS and HTML.  I already know basic HTML, so that will help.  I did a little on the class tonight, but I'm going to continue on another day when I'm fresh. I also need to get a notebook out of my crazy supply stash of them to use! :)

I also got five Adventure Time books at the library!  I love the books.  They are usually all color comics based on the show.  There is a Fionna and Cake one and a Marceline one.  I can't wait to read those.  I've checked out all the others one they have. :p

Okay, I am going to relax for a bit and then take a bath before bed.  Well, I'm hoping to be able to take a bath.  With all the rain we've had lately, my basement may be flooded.  If it gets too deep, it extinguishes the pilot light on my water heater.  If it will run hot, I'll be able to take a bath.  Keep your fingers crossed! 


Bendy me!

Today was stretch day on the calendar.  I did the two stretch videos and then worked on some other stretches myself. I am getting more flexible.  One move that I hadn't been able to do in the video before, I was able to do today!  That was cool.  I felt so good afterward, that I got down and did some more stretches.  One day I will get into a split!  I was never able to when I was younger, but I actually think I'm more flexible now than then.  Of course I think I weighed less than 100 pounds back in the day.  I was a stick! :P

Unfortunately, the stick became a trunk. I put on a lot of weight.  August of 2013 a friend asked if I wanted to go walk on the trail here in town.  I did.  That started me on the journey I'm on today.  Two years and four months later, I'm still walking, tracking what I eat, and feeling better.  I have lost pounds and inches.  Every time I look at my new clothes, I can't believe that I actually do fit in them!  I took a picture some months back of myself in a pair of shorts I was wearing when I started my walks and they look HUGE.  This, more than anything else makes me know I'm doing the right thing by getting into shape. I won't be at my goal weight by the end of this year as I had hoped, but I'm not that upset.  I know that I'm doing great. I'm down from a size 20 + to a 12.  That is a big deal.  

I look like a completely different person and that is wonderful.  I like what I see in the mirror.  I still can't believe it's me! It was a struggle to change from eating anything and everything I wanted to watching what I eat, but it's worth it. Yes, I eat the occasional cheat meal and it's fabulous.  When I cheat, I cheat good! ;p  Okay, I'm rambled enough.  This started out as how bendy I was after today's workout.  It ended up being about my journey.  Enjoy!

It's the new #Blogilatesfitplanner2016  It's even prettier than last years fit planner and that is saying something! I can't wait to get it.  It's my one indulgence for the year.  I will use this beauty every single day.  I want to see it in person. The 2015 one was great and It helped a lot.  Yes, I use apps too, but with a paper planner, you can go back to any day or date quickly.  I love being able to go back and see how far I've come. New goodie in the Blogilates app!

As you may know by reading my posts, I'm a Popster.  I follow Cassey Ho and her Pop Pilates workouts.  I have the Android app that I subscribe to the monthly calendars also.  It's only .99 a month and it gives you all the workouts together.  It's cool to be able to check off the workouts as I do them.  It's also convenient if I don't have access to my laptop.  I can just do the workouts on my phone or my tablet.

Yesterday, I downloaded a new update to the app and discovered something really cool.  Cassey added a workout timer to the app.  You can set your own times, workouts, etc.  It's going to be really useful.  It was a one time purchase of $1.99.  I added it and it's great. Blogilates

So, let me talk about Blogilates.  Cassey Ho started on YouTube in 2009 with a fitness video, more came and now six years later, she is one of the most popular fitness gurus on YouTube.  She also has a clothing line, a book, and much more!  She has a great program that anyone can follow.  I'm one of her older Popster.  She does something called PopPilates.  It's Pilates on turbo! :)

What I love about Cassey is she doesn't get critical if you can't do something.  She says we are all on our own fitness journey.  I love that there are so many things in her videos that I can do.  There are also some things I can't.  A lot of times she provides modifications for most every move she does.  I love that sometimes the 'hard' moves I can do with ease.  I love that when it's something I can't do, there is a modification for it.  She is so inspirational.  She makes me feel better about myself and my abilities. It gives me a feeling of satisfaction when I can complete a workout in full.

She also loves her Popsters and checks out our posts on social media.  She is truly a great person.  I feel like I'm not expressing myself when it comes to how much I appreciate Cassey.
