Bleah!
Saturday's post.

Bleah! LOL

So, I bought a frozen dinner at the grocery store yesterday that I thought would be really good.  It wasn't!  I LOVE PF Chang's.  They have hat 'at home' meals for several years now, but they just started making an at home version of my favorite thing in their restaurant.  Their chicken lo mein is the BEST ever!  I saw that my grocery store had a frozen dinner version of that a week or so ago.  I finally got one last night.  The picture of the food on the box didn't look like it does at the restaurant, but I figured if it tasted like it, yay!  So, I decided to make it for dinner tonight.  Big mistake. It's horrible.  It tastes exactly like EVER OTHER frozen Asian dish I've ever tried.  GROSS.  I've tried every teriyaki chicken and every fried rice I can find and they all taste the same.  They are not good.  I was very disappointed in this and I'm so glad I only bought one!

I actually have had one dish that was an Asian inspired dish that was pretty good. It was from Lean Cuisine of all people!  Their sesame chicken is delicious.  It's a really small portion though.  Still, it's the only frozen Asian meal I've ever had that was good. I'll stick with my local Chinese and Japanese restaurants for good food.  I so wanted this dinner from PF Chang's to be good.  We don't have a PF Chang's here, so I'm only able to eat there out of town.

Oh well! Live and learn! I didn't walk today. I decided to take a rare day off and just relax.  I did just that.  After lunch though, I felt the need to get out for a little bit.  I drove to Target and hit the Dollar Spot.  I got seven cute Halloween items!  I got a notepad, a caution tape, pumpkin washi, a little Hallloween sign, a wooden? jack o lantern, a jack light up necklace, and a jack bucket.  All cute things.  I then noticed that the Starbucks in Target HAD the acorn / fall gift cards. WHEE!  I went and got what I thought were two sets.  I got home and realized I had one complete set and I was missing one from the other. Boo!  I was going to wait and go back tomorrow but the power in my house went out!  My friend who lives less than a mile away said his was out too.  It was an big outage from what I learned later.

I decided to run back to Target Starbucks and get the card I missed. I'm glad I did, because I saw some other cards that I didn't have so I was able to grab a few of those. I was going to get a drink in there, but they were out of an ingredient, so I just went to my regular Starbucks and hit the drive thru.  I got a Frappuccino since I was hot and I didn't have air at home!  I came home and the power was still out.  It was starting to get dark outside, so I lit some candles and just drank my Frappuccino and relaxed.  The power came on not too long after that.

Still no word on my Nano shirt being shipped. Boo! lol I want to see it.  Oh! I did run a milkshake by a friend's house on my way home from the first trip to Target. He is the one that does a lot for me and carries me out to eat all the time.  He tried to give me the money for his shake and I wouldn't let him.  I like to treat when I can.

I have my notebook out that I used to NanoWriMo last year and I plan to write some ideas and notes for this years book. I have a idea of the majority of the book, but I want to have other stuff to lead up to that point. I want to get my notes down.   I also want to re-read the first two books before this year's so I can make notes and remember things I might have forgotten.  This one is going to be mainly centered around my two main characters and their Corgis on a dangerous road trip, but the other characters will be there in the beginning.  I want to re-familiarize myself with everyone.
