Friday again
Rainy and bleh!

Foggy days and foggy nights. :p

I got up today and noticed the street was wet from earlier rain, but it wasn't raining.  I noticed it was really overcast and partially foggy too!  I almost didn't walk.  I came thisclose to skipping my walk.  I got up and went anyway! Skipping the first day of the month's walk is not a good way to star the month!

I got my walk in and it got cloudier and foggier as I went. I even had to use the umbrella for a short time on the way back.  It wasn't too cold out there today, but I didn't take off my jacket!  I didn't mention this yesterday, but I went to the basement to try and get the pilot light on the water heater lit.  I could get a very tiny flame but it wouldn't stay long enough for me to turn it on.  I'll give it a few days and try again.  Since yesterday was a little warmer, I was hoping the water down there wouldn't be as cold. I was wrong. LOL!  My poor feet were frozen.  I came back in, cleaned and dried them off and then put on fuzzy socks.  I love fuzzy socks! ^_^

I was wanting to wash my hair today in some nice hot water, but that wasn't possible.  I put a pot on the stove again and got the chill off the water and washed it that way. It's a lot of trouble, but cold water is not fun this time of year.  It feels like it's coming off an ice burg. I just finished drying it and it feels great.  Hopefully I'll be able to get the pilot light lit soon and I can wash it in nice hot water. Ahhh!

I can't believe it's December and NaNoWriMo is officially over for this year. Yes, I finished a few days early, but it's hard to believe it's done. Year three for me.  I plan to write something totally different for next year's NaNo. I'm pretty sure I've done all I can with the current line.  I could do more, but I'll be trying to come up with some ideas of new things for next years.  I might even do the other NaNo events in April and July.  We'll see how it goes.  Oooh! I could do some short stories from some of my other characters perspectives.  That is an idea.  My main character is great, but hearing from some of the others would be pretty neat too.  I need to write notes. lol

Using Scrivener for this year's NaNo was a game changer!  I'd done the last two years in word processing programs.  I'd do a file a day for it.  With Scrivener, I did a file a day too, but unlike a word program, I could go back and add scenes and things to my writing without messing up anything. It was totally cool.  I love Scrivener and I'm going to have to do a whole post about it's wonderfulness soon!
