Oops I did it again!

Well, I DID plan to post last night.  I just ran out of time. Why?  Well, my crazy bed did it's thing again and the boxspring fell through the frame.  I pulled the bed out, took everything out from under it, cleaned all around it, and then got down to business.  I tightened everything and anything I could to make sure it didn't do it again. I hope I was successful this time, but I hope that every time!  Hopefully, if I didn't get it perfect, it will last a while.

After I got it back together, I put the clean linens back on.  By that point, I was sore, injured, and dripping sweat.  I had to cool off before I died.  It took a while, but I finally got cooled down and was able to relax for a bit.  It was midnight before I finished getting everything back together so it was too late to post to my blog. I figured I would just wait until today.

I ran out for a quick errand earlier today before the rain came.  I took a picture of my little TN in the car.  It's a better representation of the actual color.  It's so pretty.  I want another one just like it! LOL. Here it is resting on my steering wheel:

It's so pretty! I'm thinking of using it not only for Munzee but for journaling on the go.  I have the Munzee notebook in there and I had another notebook in there.  I can use it for journaling or notes.  I also stuck a little stack of Post-it notes in for quick notes.  It's so nifty.  I could also but the insert to make it into a wallet if I wanted.

I took a picture of a couple of my latest Jack o' lantern finds at Goodwill.  I mentioned each of these as I got them, but I don't think I ever showed a picture of them.  Here they are together.  Such cuties!

MVIMG_20200830_164043

I love jack o' lanterns, but I particularly love ceramic ones.  They are fun to display with or without a tealight in them.  I might take pictures of my entire collection at one point and share them.  I will be decorating for Halloween very, very soon. I have boxes and boxes and boxes of Halloween stuff and the majority of it is .... yes, jack o' lanterns!

Cool!

I went out today and took a few pictures down on this side of the River at the Riverwalk.  I took pictures on the trail there and the little dock that is where the Worsham Street bridge used to be. I created a photo album of the pictures I took and uploaded it to Google photos to share.  I figured it would be the best way to share a lot of photos.  I'll try to do this from now on when I have a lot of photos. :) I hope you enjoy! I also deployed a Munzee while out. I would have gone more but it was HOT!!!

Let's go back in time!

I remembered today that I said weeks ago that I would share a picture of the Fossil bag I bought on impulse.  I got it and I never did a post and shared it. It's smaller than the striped bag but I was able to get all my stuff in it without much trouble.  The only difference is that there is no pocket on the back. I always put my phone in the back pocket on any purse I carry.  It keeps it separate and keeps it safer from scratches.  This little bag doesn't have one, but it fits IN the purse.  I keep my TN in a cloth bag inside my purse, so I am able to put the screen next to it to keep it safe. It all works out well.  Here is the bag.  I love the print.  It's so cute and fun!

I wish it were a bit bigger, but I like it anyway.  I saw that fabric on a much bigger Fossil bag and though it was really cute.  I ran across this one and it was just too cute.  Sadly, it was listed as being a larger size.  The listing said it was 10' across and it's about 8'  :p

Another Leuchtturm 1917? Yes!

I have my notebook for my 2021 bullet journal and it's a Leuchtturm1917!  This is my fourth one.  It's yellow and it's so pretty.  I will probably add a decal or sticker to the front at some point.  This years I had already planned the decal for it.  It was a Myrtle Beach one that matched the cover.  I will look to see if I can find a cute decal when we go to the beach next month. If not, I'll use a sticker.  I got a little packet of Adventure Time stickers in the mail yesterday.  They came in with the order where I ordered the Leuchtturm.  I also ordered a few more things that arrived yesterday.  The last item in that order was supposed to come today, but it didn't.  Hopefully, it will come tomorrow.  It's a passport size TN. ^^: Yes, I know I don't need any more TNs! ;p

An eBay item that I ordered last week came today, too.  My Note has all four of the Nissan hubcaps on it, but the front driver side one had broken pieces and it's cracked in places. I was able to find one on eBay and ordered it. It finally came today.  I was able to put it on after some fun of trying to get it on. LOL, The old one was easy to get off, the new one took me a bit but it's on.  Now my wheels all look good.

The next thing I want to get for the Note is the cargo cover.  I don't know why they don't have that included when you buy the car. I've seen other people mention this, so I don't think this one is just missing one from a previous owner.  The cargo cover (Nissan branded) is a bit over $100 so I am going to keep looking. I'm hoping to find one for a much, much lower price!

Here is the newest Leuchtturm.  I can't wait to set it up and hope that 2021 is much better than this crazy year!

Monday madness!

Well, not much madness, just the usual Monday stuff. :p. I went out for a quick errand earlier and ended up down at the Crossing. I didn't walk on the trail, but I did take a picture of the hammocks they have down there now.  These are neat.  I wanted to try one out, but I didn't get up the nerve. I'm scared I'll fall out trying to get in. LOL

MVIMG_20200824_142613

One day I'll try one.  I also went to Ballou Park and stopped at this little shelter.  This spot used to have two picnic tables and a trash can.  They took it out and I was a bit upset. My mom and I had a picnic lunch there one day many years ago and I was sad to see it go.  I didn't know that they were going to put in a little shelter here and they put back two tables to the right!  It looks nice and it makes me feel better.

It looks nice, doesn't it?  It also has a little parking area (which I parked in).  Before, you just pulled off to a little gravel side spot.  This is a very nice addition to the park. :)

Sunday again....

Yes, I know I haven't posted in several days. I just haven't had the energy to post anything.  I got out today though.  I went to a few places and I stopped by a dam on the Riverwalk and took a few pictures.  I didn't go on the trail, though. I just got a few pictures to share.  I hope to get back to my daily posts here tomorrow, but we'll see how it goes. For now, enjoy these pictures I took!

It's my birthday!

What did I do to celebrate?  I went to mail back my old phone.  I checked my box and had some letters.  I washed my car because it needed it and I was too lazy to do it at home! I left there and went to Starbucks.  I got my birthday drink.  I sipped on it and went to the park to sit by my favorite tree for a bit. I hung out in the park a bit and then went and got gas for my car.  I filled it up / topped it off and it was only $8 so that was nice.  I did take some pictures.  Two in the post office and one of the darkening sky when I was sitting in the park.

I thought it was going to rain, but it never did. The sky was pretty though!  My friend texted me from work and said he was bringing by a hoagie from a local place.  Steak and cheese. It was delicious!  It was a good birthday lunch.  What's for dinner?  My favorite, hash brown casserole! :D. Yum.  That is too delicious meals today.  The Starbucks was pretty darn good, too! :p

Nice!

I like my Pixel.  I also like the cases I got today.  I didn't think the mailman was EVER going to come.  He finally did and I was able to put a case on my new phone.  I didn't want to go out with it until I did.  Well, I went to take a few pictures. I plan to do a better job and take more pictures later, but I did get a few for today:

Pixel for me!

I have wanted a Pixel phone since they first came out, but I was not a Verizon customer.  They finally released them to other carriers.  I ordered myself the Pixel 4 and it arrived today.  I love it so far. I've gotten it set up and ready to go.  I first want to share a picture comparison.  I took the left picture on my new phone and the right picture of the old one.  I would have taken outside photos, but I'll get to that.  Here are the pictures:

Look at how much better the color is on the new phone! I can't wait to take some outside shots tomorrow.  I didn't get to do that today because the phone didn't come until almost 5pm.  I ran out and got food and came back and ate, then I mowed the front lawn.  After that, I sat down to set up the phone.  It was hard to wait, but I knew it would make more sense to get stuff done and then I'd have the rest of the evening to set it up and play.  I connected the two phones via the cord that I was sent with the new phone and was able to transfer all my text messages, photos, apps, etc.  I had to download some via the Play store but it was pretty seamless.  I only had to add a few things that I had backed up elsewhere.  (backup files from a few apps)

I love the new phone.  I ordered it and two cases for it on the same day.  The estimated arrival of the phone was to be the 19th-22nd. The cases were due to arrive on the 19th too, so I thought that is perfect!  The phone came a lot sooner than the estimate! :P. I'm not upset in the slightest, I just will be very careful with it until I get the cases.  I do have some things to keep it in to protect it until I can get those, so it's all good.  Here are a few pictures I took of it with the old phone.  I can't very well take photos of it with it. LOL!

I'll do a another post tomorrow after I've played with it more.  I think I'm really going to like it a lot.  It took a bit for me to get used to certain things on it, but now I have the just and I'm going strong.  I'm definitely a "AnnDroidGirl" :P Love my Google.

Sunday and Starbucks!

I went out this afternoon and went by Starbucks and treated myself to a latte and a sandwich!  I got a vanilla latte with caramel and a double-smoked bacon sandwich. Delicious!  I also washed my car while out. It has rained the past few days and I noticed mud on my car.  It was from where it rained so hard that it splashed on the car.  I decided while out to wash it.  I could have brought it back here, but I went by the car wash that has the 'all washes $5' and they were fixed and running!

I didn't do anything else while out.  I ate my sandwich near the Starbucks and then headed to the car wash.  I sipped on my coffee and still had a little when I got home which I enjoyed in the car while watching my resident groundhog.  The little cutie came out from one of my outbuildings.  He tried to climb a little tree out there and fell off.  Poor guy!  He was okay, though.  He is such a cutie!

I went in the house and got the trash together and carried it to the can. I put it on the street for the trash trucks tomorrow.  I also noticed some branches down and carried them to the street too.  The grass needs mowing again, but it's still wet, so I'll have to wait until at least tomorrow for that.  I came in and put away the laundry I washed yesterday, tossed the bed linen in the dryer, washed my hair, and then sat down for a bit.  I got a lot accomplished.  I might read some, I'm not sure. I finally finished my current read.  I started in early last month!  I didn't pick it up as much as other reads, so it took me a long time to finish.  I am probably going with a zombie or post-apocalyptic book next.  I usually devour those pretty darn quickly!

OH! I forgot to mention that yesterday when I went to Reidsville, I set off a 'blast' on Munzee. It is the one that will capture up to 50 virtual Munzees that are in the area of up to a mile (or a bit over, I forget). Anyway! I did it and I got 50 virtuals.  Cool!  I was going to go around and deploy some physical munzees today, but I wanted to give everything a chance to dry out a little more!

Small road trip!

I decided to take a quick road trip today.  I drove over to Reidsville, NC and went to the Salvation Army thrift store and bought a few goodies.  I was going to the Goodwill over there too, but it started raining pretty hard. I DID go eat at Pete's Burgers and More.  It's my favorite place in Reidsville, so I had to get some before heading home.  I thought I'd eat and see if the rain lessened a bit. It didn't, so I decided to head back home.  It was a quick trip, but it was fun.  It is nice to know that I have a dependable car to be able to do things like that!  I wish it hadn't been such a dreary day to do it on, though!

One of the things I bought at the Salvation Army store was a purse.  It's not a Fossil, but it caught my eye and I liked it a lot.  It's Chaps brand and it's ivory in color. It feels like leather but it's not.  It's in excellent condition.  It looks like it's never been carried or if it had, it was taken care of.  Check it out:

Procrastination!

I have a bad habit of letting my dishes pile up to crazy amounts.  Well, I finally washed a ton of dishes last night.  Hoo boy that was crazy.  I had more coffee cups/tumblers than anything else. LOL. Of course six of them were new purchases.  I had so many dishes that I had to use both of my dish drainers and I had dishes stacked on other dishes.  I will try to keep them washed as I go. Of course, I say that every time and I never follow through!  Today's lunch I bought out so I only have a dirty fork to wash and I'm skipping dinner because I ate my lunch later than usual and there was a lot of it.  I may have a snack later before bed, but maybe not.

I was going out today to wash my car because some kind of tree junk had gotten on it.  I meant to go out with the hose and do it here this afternoon and got to doing other things.  So, I figured I'd just run out and wash it.  Well, I went out and it rained almost the entire time I was out, so I just didn't wash it today.  Hopefully, the rain will get those spots, if not, I'll get out the bucket and hose and do it myself tomorrow. That is twice lately when I've been going out to wash it that it starts to rain! lol

Surprise thrifting!

My friend and I went out of town to a new place to try today.  It was in Eden, NC so not too far away.  We ate there and then went to the Goodwill in Eden. I found a few cool things and bought them.  We then came back to Danville and decided to go to the Goodwill here too.  I found this neat guy:

Photostudio_1597365786543

He is actually a wax melt warmer that is missing his lid, but I didn't know that.  I just thought he was cute so I bought him! :). The mugs on either side were two of the items I found at Goodwill in Eden.  A coffee mug with coffee all over it and a mug that has a 1986 calendar. Very cool!

I received an item in the mail today that i ordered recently on eBay.  It's a Loot Crate exclusive Ice King statue with Goontz and several other penguins.  It's so cute! Here that is:

20200813_211244

I want to get another one so I can keep one in the box and display one!  I'll probably do that because it's just too cute not to display. I found it when looking up Gunter stuff on eBay.  I love Ice King and I don't have any merchandise with him featured. I have a shirt he is on, but the other characters are there too. I've been wanting something Ice King so this gave me Simon and Goontz! :)
