Thrifting is fun!

I got some great things today! I found a Sak bag, a Fossil bag, two Starbucks mugs, and the cutest Starbucks ceramic tumbler EVER. It's so damn cute! It's from 2015 and you'll see it below.  I got various other things, too! One of the neat finds was a Ziploc bag of vintage iron-on patches still in the original packaging! Very, very cool! Here are some of my finds and a cute tree at one of the Goodwill stores:

You can click on any picture to see the entire thing.  I love my finds!

Nothing much

Yes, nothing much to report today.  I didn't even leave the house!  I thought my friend and I were going thrifting, but he FINALLY went to Greensboro to pick up the item he has been going for a week now! :p  We will go tomorrow.  It's just been so hot here I haven't wanted to do anything. I've been in my room in front of the air conditioner AND a box fan!  UGH. I hate heat.  It's just so unpleasant. Fall cannot get here fast enough! Come on Fall!

Thrifting post a day late.

I sat down to make this post last night and got distracted. I don't even know what distracted me, now.  We went to Reidsville and went to Salvation Army and Goodwill.  I was able to find a Coca-Cola crate at Salvation Army. I already have two, so I was happy to add another. I also got a stamper, a little tray, and some stickers. The tray was neat. It hs the Eiffel tower on it and it's got French writing on it. Very cute.

At Goodwill, I found a clear Starbucks cold cup and a tumbler.  I also found a little pack of four mini notebooks and a silicon tray with pumpkins. I'm guessing either for candy or ice cubes. I'm going to use it for pumpkin ice cubes. :) We got back to Danville and went to one of the Goodwill stores here.  I found a red and white Starbucks holiday mug and another small pack of stickers. Decent haul for all. Here are the Starbucks things:

Yes, I know!

I totally planned to post the past two days.  Yesterday was a busy one. I got a lot accomplished. Sunday is always my busy day. I finally washed dishes and boy did I need to do that! :p  I washed my bed linen, my hair, and it seems like something else? Saturday I mowed the front lawn and washed Goontz! I took my time and washed well, but I drove a bit to let him dry and I could see spots I missed. D'oh! I'll have to re-do the wash soon. I meant to do it yesterday but I had all the other things to get done.

Tomorrow is the day my friend and I usually thrift, but I'm not sure if we are. He needs to run to Greensboro to pick up something and was going today but decided not to. He might want to go tomorrow which would not work with our going thrifting. I guess we'll see!  If we do, I'm sure I'll have something to post about it!

Sigh, so much for staying home on my birthday!

I went over to Starbucks to get my birthday drink. As I'm leaving the drive-thru, my friend texts me.  I had been re-considering doing a thrifting trip today. I decided to go for it! We went to Reidsville, Walkertown, and Mayodan. I got a vintage General Electric tape recorder! :)  I also two two Starbucks tumblers. One a sparkly hot or cold tumbler and one a venti cold cup.  I was happy to find these as they were in wonderful condition.  I also found a Kate Spade handbag! @_@; I'm not sure it's genuine, but I think it is, I'll have to research tomorrow. It looks just like a real one I found via a search. It's not really my style bag, but it was a Kate Spade! :p

Other things I got were a bag of scrunchies, an 'art' kit, a container with some various markers, a glittery jack o lantern, 2 pairs of fuzzy socks and one pair of striped knee-high socks (all new), an adulting note pad, and a pack of inserts for a Happy Planner. Oh, also two sets with a pen and a pad of matching notes.  Not a bad haul.  Here are the cups:

Nice, yes?  Here is the Kate Spade bag:

No thrift for me. Phooey!

I thought my friend and I were going thrifting today.  We talked about it yesterday, but it didn't come to pass. Boo! I did run down to the grocery store to pick up a few things I needed. I wanted to get myself a little cake for my birthday tomorrow, but they were all out of birthday cakes! Phooey!  I got a six-pack of cupcakes instead.  Pink and yellow ones.  They are delicious as I had one early! :p  A funny thing happened when I was in the store. I went down the cereal aisle and there are several kinds of bagged granola there. I love granola and it hit me that I had bought two bags on my last trip. Then, I was going over in my mind, well, did I buy them? Did I get home with them? Where the heck are they! So when I got home, I looked and they were in the cabinet! lol I would have found them eventually, but it was funny because I had forgotten all about them!

My little Goontz hit 100,000 miles today! :( Poor fella!  I took pictures of the odometer at 99,999 and at 10o,000! I plan to stay in tomorrow except for running to Starbucks to get my free birthday drink. It's only available on the day of your birthday. I hope to run over and get that, but I might just skip leaving the house altogether and just spend a quiet day at home. My plan is to just relax and do whatever I want, so going out may not happen!

Thrift yesterday? :p

Yes, I totally forgot to post yesterday.  It's bad especially since I said I would try to post more.  So, what did I get?  A few good things. In the Salvation Army, I found a steal!  I have been wanting one of those receipt scanners for a while now. They are so expensive! I saw one in Salvation Army and opened the box to look. The scanner was still in the plastic!  I bought it and it was complete. The software, cord, and literature were there and it was brand new.  I was able to get the latest software online and install it. I plugged it and it was a go! It works. I'm very pleased with it. It's an older model but it works great and it's very small and portable. Here it is:

I love it! We went to Goodwill and I found a box of assorted pencils and crayons in a nice reusable box. I also picked up two mugs.  A Starbucks one and a Bee one.

The angle is odd on this. The Starbucks cup looks tiny but it's not. It was a short trip, only two stores, but I am glad we went. That little scanner is so cute! I can save receipts (or anything for that matter) as a .png file or a .pdf file on my computer.  I'm going to add a notebook in Evernote for receipts. Another great use for Evernote. ^_^

Dolce Gusto!

I got the box of pods for my 'new' Dolce Gusto on Friday. I decided to try it on Saturday.  It heated up and made noise, but no water would go through the machine. I did some troubleshooting online. It took an hour, but I was able to get it working. I got it working!  Yay! It brewed just fine, too! It was a struggle, but I'm glad I didn't give up.  The pods I got aren't the best tasting ever, but they aren't bad. I'll definitely try some other types. I'm sure I'll find the perfect ones for me. I meant to post this on Saturday and then again yesterday.  I really mean to post more often. I'm going to try to do better. Tomorrow is Tuesday, so my friend may want to go thrift. If so, I'll post about that.

One thing did happen today. My power went out.  I woke up around 9:20 and realized it was out.  It didn't come back until a little before noon.  Then, it went out again briefly in the afternoon.  Luckily, it didn't get too hot either time.

Thrift again!

I didn't think we were going, but my friend texted and asked and I said okay!  We went to Reidsville, Walkertown, and Mayodan.  I got some goodies, but I am only going to share my favorite finds. These were both in Mayodan.  Two Starbucks cold cups! :)  I don't find a lot of cold cups, most of the ones I find are for hot beverages.  These two were near each other on the shelf. The brown one was $.99 and the clear one was $1.99. I fell in total love with the clear bumpy one.

Quick thrift!

We went to Reidsville today and went to Salvation Army and Goodwill. I got a Coca-Cola Christmas ornament (still in the box) at Salvation Army. I collect Coca-Cola stuff. At Goodwill, they have had a Dolce Gusto coffee maker.  I look at it every time I go in. They had $8.00 on it but today, it had a new sticker. $4. I bought it!  It powers up so I'm sure it will work. I ordered some pods to try it out.  I can't wait to try it. I couldn't find a manual online for it, but I watched a few YouTube videos from when it was new and learned how to use it so that won't be an issue. It's going to be fun to try!  The retail on this when new was $129.99 and I paid $4.00. Score! :D I love great thrift finds! I'm also glad I waited to buy it. :p

Greensboro thrifing list and picture! :p

Here you go, here is the picture of all my goodies. I'll do a list under it, too.  It was a successful trip with lots of goodies. The only thing in the picture that I didn't buy is the Saucony shoes, my friend got those for me since they were my size and in such great shape.

Sticker maker
Yellow pot with lid  (I have a larger version of this pot that I've had forEVER that was my mom's and gran's. I love that I found a small version!)
PayDay board game (I've been looking for this for years)
Saucony shoes
An undated planner
A mostly empty six-ring planner binder
A full six-ring planner
A travel set (shampoo, lotion, soap, washcloth, hanger for the tub and a little pouch that I haven't opened)
Headache cure
Three Starbucks tumblers (I have one just like the mint green one but in yellow.)
A Myrtle Beach coffee cup
A NEW Switch Lite Mario-themed case (it has the screen protectors and cleaning cloth!)
A planetarium thingee
A Sakroots convertible bag. You can carry it as a backpack or a cross-body! Very neat.
Very crazy but fun trip. We went to seven or eight different Goodwill stores.  It was fun and as you see, I got a lot of stuff. Today I'm just staying home and relaxing and enjoying the peace and quiet. ^__^

Good grief, not again!

Guess what I did today? I went thrifting! LOL, I was not expecting to go at all. I will take pictures of some of my stuff tomorrow as it's late now and I have stuff to do before bed.  I found some good things. Three Starbucks things being just a few of the goodies. I'll do a better post tomorrow. As for now, I am going to get some things done and crash. I'm exhausted. We went to a LOT of Goodwill stores.

Thursday thrift?!

Well, yes.  We usually go on the long trip on Friday, but my friend has some plans tomorrow.  He still wanted to thrift, so we did the whole trip today.  We hit Reidsville, Walkertown, and Mayodan!  At Reidsville, we went to the Salvation Army and neither of us found anything to buy. That is unusual! We went to the Goodwill and I found a few goodies. The best being a blue lamp just like the pink one I got some time back. It's so cute! Now I have a spare.

At Walkertown, I got a Starbucks tumbler that is so cute and an adorable Sak purse. Total price for both? $3.00. Whee!  Our last stop, Mayodan was pretty good, too.  I found a cute digital camera. It was $3.50 and it had a little case, and even a plug-in device to recharge rechargeable AAA batteries. It was worth it for the case and the charger alone. The camera does work, I tested it when I got home. :)

I found a few other little things in there and a light blue Caboodle! It's the same size as the pink one I found on another trip.  So weird to find two Caboodles in the same Goodwill on different trips.  I did take a few pictures of the best goodies to share.

I love these cute finds! The Starbucks tumbler is so pretty. I love the colors.  That is what caught my eye with the Sak bag too.  It was a great thrift trip. The lamp was a great find because I love the pink one so much. It's nice to have a backup! Now, I plan to relax and enjoy the rest of the week and the weekend! :p

Impromptu thrift!

My friend and I went to eat tonight at a local Italian place we love.  We decided to check out the two local Goodwills since it was late and we weren't going out of town.  I found a few things in each place.  Here are my favorite finds.

A Starbucks tumbler from 2011 and some coffee and donut socks! :D  So cute!

Thrift on Tuesday

My friend and I went to Reidsville today to thrift. We only went to the Salvation Army store and Goodwill. I didn't buy anything at Goodwill, but I found a little blue purse.  The purse itself wasn't really great, but the strap was and it's removable! The purse is cute, but it's not really my thing. I love the strap though.  The other thing I got was a little pink pouch/bag.  It can be used as a double zipper pouch, or as a crossbody mini bag. I figured it would be good for storing things, or as a tiny purse. It was a small haul.  Here are the two bags:
