What the Junk?!

Nothing really to post about today. It was the usual Sunday. I washed bed linen and hair. Thrilling, right? I wrote too. That was about all. Thrilling, right? :p

Today was going okay, I got my writing done. I edited yesterday's work as it really needed it and wrote for today. CampNaNoWriMo is done! I will continue on with this story, and I hope to revisit my two other WIP soon.  I was sitting relaxing when I started hearing low bass music. After several weeks of quiet from my idiot neighbors, they decided to go ALL OUT today. It was so loud and so bad that I had to leave my house. I only have air conditioning in my bedroom, and it's HOT so there was no escaping the damn noise in my house.  While I was out, I called my friend that lives up the street.  She lives just on the other side of these people and she has had her own issues with them. 

Other than that, the day was okay. I got my laundry washed AND put away. That is rare for me.  I also used one of my many bottles of sauce! lol, I DID let Amazon know. They were great, I can keep or donate the extra.  Very nice.  I will definitely use it all, it just might take a bit of time. I have eleven more jars to go! Now, I am just going to try to relax a bit before bedtime. I haven't been sleeping well, so I'm hoping to crash hard tonight!

I ordered my sauce and a few other things on Amazon as I told you. Well, they arrived today. It was one order, but they shipped separately, I guess they didn't have all the items at the same warehouse. In any case, they both were delivered together today.  So, both are heavy. The only thing I ordered that should be even slightly heavy is the three bottles of sauce. They even divided those up! I open the first box and see a square box inside with my barbeque sauce. It's a box of four! What? I go and open the other package and it has the rest of my items and two more square boxes. Yes, they sent me three cases of my sauce for the price of one bottle! I am not sure what to do about that.  I will use it all, so it's no problem. Also, the dates are great, 2024 for two boxes and 2025 for the third. I am going to contact Amazon and let them know about the issue. What a crazy thing to happen. All the other items I ordered are there and in the correct quantities, so that is good. We'll see what they say, I am going to do a support chat, but I am not going to start that tonight as it's late. I'll contact them tomorrow!

So, my air conditioner has been making a lot of noise lately. It's also spitting out some water at times, too. I was afraid it might die during the night one night while I was trying to sleep. I have enough sleeping issues as it is, I don't need more! So, I decided, reluctantly to pull it out and put in the other one I have. The one I put in is newer and fancier but it just does not cool as well as the older one. Plus, it doesn't smell as good either! LOL! It's in there. I had to move my desk and several things out of the way to get to the window. I got everything nearby so I could take one out and put one in. I had some issues, but I finally got it going.  It's sad how much colder the other one was. Oh well, it's better to have one that isn't going to stop in the middle of the night, right?

The amount of water that dripped on my floor when I pulled this out was crazy! I have let it sit ever since and finally got it up and carried it to where I stored the other one. There is a damp patch on the floor. It will dry up soon, I hope! I'm glad I have the swap done. It was a crazy time. :p

In other news, I did my Camp writing. I've already gone over 50,000 words on this work, well the entire work is a LOT more than that, but I've added just over 55,000 words during Camp and will update my word count on the site for the remainder. I will either continue on with this one in August or go back to one of my two other words in progress. I have ideas for both of those!

By the way, I WAS able to buy some of my favorite BBQ sauce on Amazon last night. :p I also found a few more food-related things and added them to my order. :) I still need to go to the grocery store for a few things I couldn't get there, but I can do that later. I'm good for now.

I wasn't going to post today at all, but I don't want to get into that habit. I don't have much to report either. I got my day's writing for Camp done. I also set up August in my digital planner. That's all ready to go. Other than that, I just relaxed. I didn't get a lot of sleep last night so I'm tired. We had some storms go through today. A lot of rain and some pretty good thunder, too. I made lunch in the Instant Pot. Barbeque chicken breasts. Delicious! Unfortunately for me, I'm now out of sauces. Boo, that means a grocery trip unless I can find my sauces on Amazon... ooh.... see you tomorrow! LOL!

I got my mowing done today! YAY! I'm glad I did it early because it rained again and I wouldn't have been able to get it done. Why did I do it early? My friend wanted to eat and thrift. We went to Reidsville to Salvation Army and Goodwill. We then went to Eden to Goodwill and to a local place to eat. They have breakfast all day and it's good!  I got some goodies, nothing huge, but some small finds. 

I got some papers/inserts for Happy Planners. I have been finding a good amount of Happy Planner stuff in the thrift stores lately. I'm happy to find them! I have a good little stash of HP stuff now. I also found a cup mug with the characters from A Charlie Brown Christmas on it, a glass with gold polka dots, a folio for papers/planning, some melamine-type plates, a small container, another small plastic stack container to hold small items, a cute little kit to make ornaments for your tree, and a pack that had some crayons and chalk in it. I mainly wanted it for the colored chalk. I will just add the crayons to my container of them. I have tons I've collected over the years.

It wasn't a huge haul, but a lot of neat things. I like the glass so much that I am using it on my desk as a pen holder. See! It's right next to another thrift find, my 2020 Year of the Introvert mug. :D

I really like how nice it looks. I even organized my pens to make everything look nicer. :p All in all, it was a nice little trip. 

So I was going to mow the front lawn today. It really needs it, but it rained. A lot. It was pouring down for a while It stopped and I thought that maybe it would dry up a bit, but no, it rained hard again later. So, no mowing was done today. I really wanted to get that behind me. Oh well. :(

So, I posted last night that I'd tell you about yesterday. Let me do that first. I went to Starbucks last night to participate in two different star challenges I am in. I didn't get either. LOL!  One should have been half done and the other should have been completely done. The first, I didn't get by no fault of my own. The second, I didn't get enough. I was fifty cents short. D'OH!   While I was out, I washed Goontz, by the way. I also FINALLY got to try the lime frosted coconut bar and it was AMAZING!  Worth the wait!

So, today, I figure, maybe if I go get the second half of that first challenge, it will kick start the part that didn't show yesterday. Plus, I planned to get the other challenge. I missed it by a few cents again. ~_~; The guy on cash was 'newish' it seems and he was already confused so I just went with it. I even forgot to get a receipt! :( I try to get a receipt from new stores! New stores? Yes, I went to the one in Martinsville. Yay. It's very nice. Nice, yes? I will definitely go back to that location in the future. As I was driving out, I saw that they not only have a drive-thru, but it's a double drive-thru! Nice! :). So, I got Starbucks two days in a row. Something I haven't done in a while! It usually only happens at the beach. 

So, I got back to Danville, I went to fill up Goontz, and came home.  I have all my chores done for today except putting my bed linen back on the bed. I will do that later. Yikes, I didn't realize it was almost eight already. Where did the day go?

I am running out of time to post. I want to tell you about my day,but it is too late. Tomorrow, okay? It involves backups, Starbucks, and goodies! Lol 

It was hot here today and this weekend is supposed to be even hotter. What am I going to do? Hide inside with the air conditioner! :p I need to mow, but I'm hoping I can hold off a few days at least. I think I can do that, I need to, I am not young enough to mow in 100˚ heat! Yikes!  I knew it was supposed to be hot this weekend, so I went ahead and washed my dishes. I've needed to do it for a while. I am SO glad to have that done. They are such a pain in the butt.

All in all, it was a good haul. These are my favorites.... oh wait! One more! The Lenovo backpack.

My friend texted today and asked if I wanted to go out of town to one of our favorite restaurants and then go to a Goodwill that we don't get to often. (It's a good distance away) I said, sure! We ate and went to the Goodwill. I found a vintage 16 oz Starbucks Barista line tumbler from 2000 so that was pretty cool! I also got a few other things and a brand new Lenovo brand laptop backpack. Did I need another laptop backpack? No. Did I even need another backpack? No. I bought it anyway. LOL! It's still got the tags.

After leaving there, he looked up another Goodwill that we've been to before. It was only about 20 miles from there, so we went. I got a vintage board game. :D I love board games, especially vintage ones. It's Sorry! Which I have, of course, but this is the one from 1965! It's in excellent shape to be with you 57 years old! It is complete too! I will try to remember to take pictures tomorrow in natural light. The other things I got were just little things. All in all, it was a good haul! :) I wonder if this is the first edition of the game? 

Okay, seems that the last post worked and it's now reconnected to Tumblr. :) I'm glad to get that fixed.  It's good to have the connection back. I'm sorry that the last post before it happened was the end of the beach trip!  At least it got my whole beach trip before it stopped, right? :p

In other news, I wrote today and did a lot of relaxing. My sleep was horrible last night and I was sleepy all day. The bad thing is that when I get in bed tonight, I'll be wide awake! lol, It always happens like that. Hopefully, I will be wrong and sleep well. Wish me luck! :)

I will be deleting this later. I did some things to try to re-connect to Tumblr. Hopefully this works.

I cannot get the connection to post to Tumblr working again. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've gone in and re-connected everything but it's not working. Oh well. Sorry, Tumblr peeps!

I didn't really do much today, so there is nothing much to post about. So, sorry Typepad and WordPress peeps, too! :P
