Bags Feed

Hoo boy am I tired!

I was up until around 3 am finishing my latest read (Zombie fiction). It was so good! I just found the second book in the series and loaded it to my Kindle to start tonight.  The first book was great, I'm hoping book two will be just as good.

So, I got up at my regular time today and texted my friend.  He was in the middle of something but said he'd be on in a bit.  He got here around noon and we headed out.  We went first to Reidsville, NC to the Salvation Army store, the Goodwill store, and two pawn shops.  He went in those, I just thrifted.  In the SA store, I got a S'well bottle for .49¢!  Those things are expensive new!  I also found a Fossil purse!  It's the brown one you'll see in the pictures below.

We went to the Goodwill in Reidsville and I found a Starbucks mug, which I love, and a little table/container.  It was new in box.  The price new was $20 and I paid $8! I have a picture of it below too.  I put it together when I got home.  It will be a nice little storage unit.

After leaving Reidsville, we went to Eden NC.  At the Goodwill there, I only got a little wicker Snowman basket.  He was cute and only .49¢.  We found a Salvation Army store that we'd never been to before and I got a ceramic jack o' lantern, a puzzle, and some watercolors.  The puzzle is the one with the fall trees.

We ate while Eden at a little drive up place we love.  They have delicious cheeseburgers!  We left Eden and headed to Martinsville, VA.  We went to the Salvation Army store there that we found last trip.  I found another Fossil bag.  Last time I got a Fossil bag there I spent $1.50.  This one was $10!  It was red leather and I loved it. I kept debating on and finally just bought it.  $10 is not expensive and I actually love this bag. I'll carry it.

We went to two more Goodwills.  One is on the other side of Martinsville but not too far away and one is in Martinsville.  At one, I got a cute Jack o' lantern container and a pair of Ked like shoes.  The grand total? $3.50. Whoo hoo!  At the last Goodwill we went to, I found a cool tote bag that I loved, an Ipsy zipper pouch, and a cute Cake pop puzzle.

All in all it was a good day! I got two 'new' Fossil bags, that little bin thingee, some puzzles, jack o' lantern goodies and more.  And now for the pictures!

Sunday fun.

Okay, so not really.  It's going to be a busy day of washing, packing, etc.  I didn't walk today because I want to give myself another day to feel good for the beach.  I still don't feel right, but I'm not too bad.  My power went out for a bit today.  It was out for 30 minutes.  I was a bit worried as it's so hot here and I needed to wash some clothes for packing!  Luckily it came back and I tossed my clothes in the start washing.

I am taking it as easy as I can, but I do have a lot to do.  I thought I would mow my front lawn today so it would be done before I go but it doesn't need it!  That figures. lol . Oh well, one less thing to worry about.  I already stopped my mail to the house for the week.  I really need to go to the post office before I go.  I probably won't make it, though.

I still haven't decided if I want to carry my bullet journal backpack or just my bujo and my pen case.  I guess we'll see when I get packing.  I want to have room for everything without too much extra.  I'd love to have my bag with me.  I did get it to bujo on the go. :P . I'll probably take it as it's not that big. Plus, I am using the old bag that I had for it for my toiletries and it's a lot smaller than the bag I usually carry for that.  I got some little bottles at Dollar Tree and filled them with stuff from bigger bottles to save space.  It's perfect for that.  I also plan to pack several empty bags.  I always come back with more than I go with. lol  The only bad thing about the timing of this trip, is that it's the end of the month and that means I'm pretty broke.  I did save out a little this month so I wouldn't be totally broke.  I also have a few dollars in quarters left over from walking and a five dollar bill. Yay! Lol

I'm carrying some old pennies with me to make smooshed pennies.  I read that it's best to use ones from 1982 or earlier.  They nice nicer that way.  I picked several of those.  I need quarters to pay to make the smooshed pennies so I'm good!  I'm hoping to get a few more to add to my collection. So far I have four.  One from Carrowinds back when it was a Paramount park and the other three are all from Myrtle Beach. :P

Whee to early packages!

So, I had two packages that were estimated to be delivered tomorrow.  I noticed that in Informed delivery it said today!  I checked my package tracker app. (Package Buddy) and sure enough, both were scheduled to be here today! Yay!  So, what did I get?  Well, I got another Fossil purse. lol It's the exact bag I bought in February but it's Green.  I love the size and shape of the black one and I've been watching eBay for another in another color. I found an off-white one, a blue one (I missed that one!), a yellow one, and this green one.  The green one was a great price so I bid on it and won with my opening bid. Yay!

The other item is a cute 'kit' from the NaNoWriMo store.  It's a pencil case that has a pencil, a big eraser, a pencil sharpener and s several NaNo stickers! ^___^ . The pencil cases zipper is orange like the trim on my bujo backpack!  I put my daily use/often used pens in it.  It will reside in my bujo bag.  I love the pencil case and the bag.  The Fossil bag even came with a Fossil dust bag.  This is the first Fossil bag I've gotten that the seller included the dust bag.  I'm happy with my purchases.  I'll share them below and I want to show the puzzle.  I got out the chess board and took all the pieces out of and off the puzzle.  I separated them by type so when I'm looking for a particular piece, it will be a little easier.  I have some of the pieces on the white board down the side and the rest are on the chess board.  Hopefully this will help speed up the progress a little!  Here is the handbag, the NaNo kit, and the puzzle:

I've done my French lesson and my NaNo writing for today, so after I post this, I'll work on the puzzle a bit.  I am extremely tired as I was up way too late reading on my Kindle on that zombie book. :P

Finally!!!!

Remember yesterday when I said I was looking for a piece of my puzzle.  Guess what I finally found tonight.  I was beginning to think it wasn't in the box. :P . I got my old chess board out and put the rest of the pieces on it.  I also moved some of the ones on the whiteboard over to have more room.  I found that piece and I found the others at the bottom so that section is done.  The top little part is next and then I'll go from there.  I was close to giving up tonight.  After getting that little section filled in and that one piece I needed, I was ready to continue to try and finish it!

My walk today was quite nice. I actually got hot while walking!  It was nice and warm out there. It's supposed to be as warm tomorrow, but we might get rain.  So far, it isn't a huge chance when it's walk time, but we'll see how it goes tomorrow.  They are calling for thunderstorms too.  I do not want to walk in one of those. I have before and it is not fun!

I had to run to the dollar store on my walk back. I was hoping to find a staple gun.  I had one, but I broke it last night. :P . Dollar General didn't have any, so I went to Roses which is right next to DG.  I looked over it three times and finally saw it.  It's a nice one, it's metal, so I shouldn't be able to break this one. :P I also found some feather dusters like I'd been looking for forever! These are the ones that I used to get all the time at Kmart.  They were $1.00 each, so I grabbed two.  They aren't as big as the ones I used to get at Kmart, but I was just glad to get them!

Speaking of Kmart, I ordered myself three pair of shorts.  They all came today via UPS and they all came in three seperate boxes.  WTF!?  Seriously.  They put a pair of shorts in each box, pillow pack for packing and sent them like that.  Why three boxes?  That is a bit silly!  I am glad to get them though.  I also got the cutest little backpack for my bullet journal stuff.  I downsized some of my supplies.  Not a lot, but I downsized a bit.  I also made a box for extra bujo supplies.  I'll do a post about the bag and the bujo box tomorrow.  Until then, here it the puzzle at the current time and a picture of a gorgeous pansy in a hanging basket at Roses.

Meh

I walked today and it wasn't too bad.  It was warm, but it's no where near as bad as it was a few weeks ago.  I wish it would cool down a little more.  I came home and did some of my other stuff.  I also noticed it was getitng overcast.  It drizzled a bit.  I hope it doesn't rain a lot.  We certainly don't need anymore rain here!  Some people are still without power and there are still trees and lines down.  There was a mud slide the other day and it took out power to a bunch of people again.  I think they got that fixed.

I went down in my basement after my walk to see if I could get my water heater lit.  Nope.  The part that I would need to light is still under water!  I took a ruler down there and measured the step to see how deep it was the other day when I was down there.  12 inches!  Good grief!  It's still about 8 inches of water down there so I'll have to wait a few more days and try again.  I hate not having hot water.

Remember the Fossil satchel bag I got that I wanted to start carrying this fall?  Well, it stinks.  I mean reeks of perfume and I can't stand it. I don't like a lot of heavy scent.  I wrapped it in newspaper, stuffed it with newspaper and closed it up in a some plastic bags for over a week.  I took it out the other day and it still reeks.  It's bad.  I've been looking up ways to take the smell out. One solution was to put it in a closed container with dry coffee grounds.  That sounds like a good idea.  Especially if it smells like coffee. LOL . I just want it to smell like leather!  I'm going to find a sealable plastic bin big enough for it and put it in there with some coffee grounds and hope for the best.  I really want to carry this handbag, but at the moment, it's not a possibility!

Partial packing

Yes, I'm partially packed!  I have most everything packed but my clothes.  I have a load in the dryer now.  I figured I'd just pack all my clothes at once.  I have packed most of my electronics and toiletries.  I have to pack this Mac and I wanted to post to my blog before I did.  I knew I could have on my phone, but I tend to not write very long posts when I do it that way!

Today, I did get to see my friend for his birthday.  I rode with his mom to get him a cookie cake for his birthday and we also ran a few of her errands while out.  I went to their house and visited for a while too.  After that, we rode around for a little bit and then they brought me home.  I didn't walk today, I kind of wish I did, but at the same time, it was really hot.  It stormed this afternoon when I was with my friends, so it cooled down A LOT.  That was nice.  I think my clothes are about dry.  I'm going to get those out and pack everything and get everything ready so I don't have to do anything in the morning.  I like to be able to sleep later and just get up, wash off, and go.  I hopefully will sleep better tonight than I have been. It was around 4 last night when I finally laid down and I still wasn't sleepy. Boo!

I have to pack up my bullet journal, this MBP, my Kindle, and a few other things and that one bag will be packed.  That will just leave my clothes.  I hope I have enough. I usually take way more than I need.  It's a safety precaution.  I'd rather have too much and not need it than have too little and need more!

Pretty in pink!

After my walk today, I stopped by a friend's house for a bit to see all their pooches.  I was really roasting by the time I got home.  I relaxed and cooled off.  My mailbox had something in it today that I was hoping for.  I found a really cute small crossbody bag recently.  I don't like carrying my full purse on trips, but I like to carry something.  I found this little guy and he is perfect.  I took a picture of the outside and the front pocket/flap thingee.  It also has a big open zipper compartment, a snap close back pocket, and as you can see, several smaller pockets in the flap. I will be perfect for the trip and also for those times when I run out and don't want to carry my big purse.  Here it is:

Yes, it's pink! It also came in military green, khaki, grey, blue, and some other colors.  I though the pink would be fun. I have so many military green bags.  Oh, they had purple too.  It's a really cute and functional bag.  I had to run to do an errand earlier and I carried it.  It's perfect.  It has a small zipper pocket on top that is perfect for carrying my lip balm! Yay!

I hope to walk tomorrow.  I also have to wash more clothes tomorrow, wash my hair, pack, and all kinds of other things.  I needed to mow, so I did that today.  My friend's birthday is tomorrow.  He is my besties son.  He is turning 21 and I'm sure they'll all want to do something for his day.  I'll probably go see them.  He is the the friend I saw today, actually.  He saw me walking and waited when he got home for me to get to the neighborhood to wish me a belated birthday.  While I was there, I had to see all five dogs! LOL!  His mom and step dad have three, his grandma has two. :P I love them all.  I got and gave lots of love! ^_^
