What the Junk?!

Good mail day!

I used to have a page at Tumbler that was just to show what you received in the day's mail.  I got the idea from an old group at Livejournal.  I could do that here.  I have an extra blog I can use.  I may do it, I may not, who knows. lol

I did have a good mail day!  I got two of the cards I ordered.  One I got two of the same card to have an extra in my collection.  What I didn't realize when I bought this particular card, that the seller said they would send an extra card from their collection!  I got two extra cards and one of them I didn't have. Yay!  Also, the one I did have was from where I used to have to buy them to load them not knowing you didn't have to do that!  I now have a 'clean' card with the pin intact. Yay!  The other card that I didn't have for a Florida one. ^___^ . I have very few of the state/city cards so you can be sure I was happy with that one!

The other card that I ordered was on from 2013.  It's a keychain card celebrating the 10 years of PSL.  I thought that one was pretty cool.  Now I'm just waiting on a green set (again I got two of the same card) that were partner exclusives, and the one from Korea.  I love building my collection.  A little bit at a time and someday I will have a full set.  Well, I full set of US cards in any case!  

I finished the puzzle today.  It was fun.  I am not sure which of the others I'm going to start next.  I also need to re-stock soon.  I am pretty sure I got all the ones that Dollar Tree has at the moment.  Well, all the Puzzle Bug brand puzzles.  They do have some more of those crazy 1000 piece ones. I don't mind a puzzle with that many pieces, it's just hard to work when they are so darn tiny!

Starbucks and puzzles....

So, I finished my puzzle today.  It was pretty intense but I enjoyed doing it.  I was on eBay last night and I ordered a new Starbucks card from Korea.  I had ordered another Starbucks card back in July and it came today.  The seller told me there would be a delay in sending it out due to a family emergency, so that was okay.  It's pretty! I'll post a picture of it and the puzzle below. I totally forgot to take a picture of the new bujo in natural light. Oops!

Speaking of Starbucks, I wanted to go tonight, but I didn't get to.  My friend's asked me up so I went for a bit.  I mentioned Starbucks and we were going, but it never happened. Boo!  Don't tease me with Starbucks and then don't deliver!  In other news, my friend's son has ended his relationship again.  I hope it's permanent this time, but I've gotten my hopes up way too many times already!

I was going to eat up there or bring home a plate, but I didn't do that either. I did get a small stack of blue post-it notes. My friend got a four pack and I got the blue ones. Yay! I keep meaning to buy a big pack of them and forget.  I've learned my lesson on buying the cheap ones!

Another great thing about Post-it notes?  You can take a picture of one with Evernote and it will put it in a special notebook or tag it.  I just have mine to go into a Post-it note notebook at the moment.  So cool!  So, I guess that is how I'm using Evernote today. But wait, there is more!

How I'm using Evernote today:  I have listed (with the pictures) of all US Starbucks cards in a notebook in my Evernote. I'm going through my collection tonight and check the ones I have.  This way when looking for new ones, I'll know which ones I have and which ones I don't.  I usually know wen it's one I have, but sometimes I can forget. This way I'll have the 'list' always with me1

Yes, I am aware!

Yes, I know I didn't post yesterday. Sorry about that.  I didn't do much of anything yesterday!  I skipped my walk because I thought my friend and I might walk.  He was off from yesterday until Monday.  He didn't want to walk, so I missed out on my walk.  Oops!  It was made worse by the fact that I couldn't walk today because of rain and the threat of bad weather.  Oh well! I'll walk tomorrow and it will be okay.

To show you how lazy I was yesterday, I didn't even do anything for Camp NaNo!  I made up for it tonight.  I wrote over 1000 words.  I'm almost to 15,000 now and I only set the goal for myself of 20,000 so I'm doing quite well.

I went out this evening to hit a Pokestop as I was on a streak and I didn't want to break it.  I went out yesterday long enough to do that too.  While I was out today, it had started clearing off, so I headed to Starbucks. :P . I went through the drive-thru and got my favorite, a cascara latte.  It was delicious as usual and I had a nice convo with the barista at the drive-thru about he new award program. (No one was behind me and we were waiting on my drink!)

My puzzle is not going very well.  I got ONE piece in yesterday and today? Two. ^^; Seriously.  It's so frustrating!  When I get one, it takes so long to get it that I get tired of looking and give up. lolI told my friend tonight that I was tempted to toss it back in the box again! :P

I've been looking up old puzzles on eBay. I've found a bunch I really like but with shipping, the price is too high!  Just about every puzzle I see that like has a price tag of at least $8 and the shipping is usually $10 or more.  Plus, I am always looking for sealed boxes.  I don't want to do one and find a piece missing!  That is so frustrating.   I love that people have some really cool older puzzles on there that are still sealed.  I see many I want, but with shipping, I just can't afford it.  It's funny, I saw one puzzle that I bought at Dollar General for $5.  They only wanted $3 for theirs but the shipping was at least $10.  Oh well, I'll keep looking.  I prefer puzzles with actual pictures instead of illustrations.  There are some gorgeous ones in the Big Ben brand on eBay.  Big Ben is the brand of the puzzle I did earlier this month with the white bark trees.  I know they make good quality puzzles.

I'm sort of down in the dumps this weekend.  Why?  Well, for the past two years, my friend and I have gone to North Myrtle Beach on Easter weekend.  We didn't go this year.  I would so love to be there!  Well, the trip at the end of May, beginning of June isn't too far off.  It just seems like forever!  I am working on a packing list for the trip in my bujo and I already have the majority of my beach fun bingo set up. I just need to pick three more things to add to the board for it to be complete.

 

Whee to early packages!

So, I had two packages that were estimated to be delivered tomorrow.  I noticed that in Informed delivery it said today!  I checked my package tracker app. (Package Buddy) and sure enough, both were scheduled to be here today! Yay!  So, what did I get?  Well, I got another Fossil purse. lol It's the exact bag I bought in February but it's Green.  I love the size and shape of the black one and I've been watching eBay for another in another color. I found an off-white one, a blue one (I missed that one!), a yellow one, and this green one.  The green one was a great price so I bid on it and won with my opening bid. Yay!

The other item is a cute 'kit' from the NaNoWriMo store.  It's a pencil case that has a pencil, a big eraser, a pencil sharpener and s several NaNo stickers! ^___^ . The pencil cases zipper is orange like the trim on my bujo backpack!  I put my daily use/often used pens in it.  It will reside in my bujo bag.  I love the pencil case and the bag.  The Fossil bag even came with a Fossil dust bag.  This is the first Fossil bag I've gotten that the seller included the dust bag.  I'm happy with my purchases.  I'll share them below and I want to show the puzzle.  I got out the chess board and took all the pieces out of and off the puzzle.  I separated them by type so when I'm looking for a particular piece, it will be a little easier.  I have some of the pieces on the white board down the side and the rest are on the chess board.  Hopefully this will help speed up the progress a little!  Here is the handbag, the NaNo kit, and the puzzle:

I've done my French lesson and my NaNo writing for today, so after I post this, I'll work on the puzzle a bit.  I am extremely tired as I was up way too late reading on my Kindle on that zombie book. :P

 

Cold.... sooo cold.

So, today I checked my weather app as I always do in the mornings.  The temperature was 22 and it said it felt like half that!  I decided that today would be a good day to not walk. lol . I skipped my walk entirely.  It isn't supposed to be a lot warmer tomorrow, but at least it will be in the 30's! Hopefully it won't be too bad.  I plan to walk unless it rains.  I don't want to miss another day.

So far I haven't gotten anything from the seller on ebay.  They have the wrong purse back. They have never even sent a message.  If I don't hear anything by tomorrow afternoon, I will contact ebay again.  I went and investigated a little.  She had some listings when I first tried to contact her about the wrong item and now all of a sudden she has none. I don't understand why someone would build up great feedback for a long time and then just try to start screwing people over.

 

Phooey!

I didn't get to walk today.  Why? Well, my friend got off earlier and was coming to try and get my water heater fixed.  Sadly, I could have walked because he didn't get here until after I would have gotten back.  Oh well.  He didn't get the water heater fixed.  There is still water down there.  He did get the pump set up down there so it will always be ready to go.  It should now come on and keep the basement from flooding.  Hopefully he'll be able to get down there and get the whole thing fixed when the water goes down.  It's so frustrating!

I still have not heard one word from the seller on ebay about her sending me the wrong purse.  If she doesn't respond soon, I'm going to leave negative feedback and report her to ebay.  I do not like to be treated like that.  I'm hoping she makes it right, but at this point, I seriously doubt it.

I got an unexpected treat today of $30 to spend at Amazon.  Just after I bought the stylus. lol . So, I bought some ink for my printer, a three pack of Mildliners, and some blue ball point pens. (Just to round out the amount.) . I've wanted some Mildliners for a long time.  They have been on my wishlist forever.  I decided to treat myself to some. ^_^ . They and the other things should come Saturday.  Everything I got was Prime eligible.  The pens are a brand I've never heard of, but I figured I'd give them a try.  I love pens so it's always fun to try new ones.

I'm off to play with GoodNotes.  I found a bunch of templates and things online that I want to import in and play with. I'll do a GoodNotes review soon.  Also, I'll be talking about my latest game obsession, Board Kings!

I got a package today.  It was supposedly my Fossil purse I ordered on ebay.  Well, it was a Fossil purse all right.  It wasn't the purse I ordered.  Not even close. I'm am not very happy with this situation and as soon as I saw it, I contacted ebay.  The purse I ordered was 'new' and this one is definitely not.  The one I ordered is cream colored, this is brown.  They don't even look alike.  I'm so pissed.  UGH.  Now I have to wait for ebay to contact the seller, see if I hear from them, and then get ebay to settle is if they don't.  I'm so pissed.  So, so, so pissed.  GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Hello

It wasn't sunny today, but it was warm.  It was around 60! It was pretty nice for walking.  I got in my walk and I was able to stop by the dollar store and get a few things I needed.  I also found a great smelling candle for .30!  It was in the holiday markdown stuff.  I wonder if they have any more. It smells so good. It's called Frosted Fir and smells like a fresh tree. 

I needed some tape, and I was hoping there would be some in the holiday markdown section, but no go. I got some in the regular section though, so that was okay.  I also got a package of copy paper as I was completely out.  Some of the pen pal letters I wrote last week were on green paper because I was out of my regular white sheets.

I didn't do much when I got home. I washed my hair and my bed linen. I've had a really bad headache, so doing other things was not an option.  I mainly just sat around. I played some Bingo on my iPad and watched The Simpsons on FXNow.  I love watching the episodes, but the commercials are driving me nuts.  They are mainly the same ones over and over and they are annoying as hell!  I just mute them when they come on!

Tomorrow, I should be receiving a pen loop for my Leuchtturm bullet journal and a new set of washi. It's from my favorite brand/company of washi. Molshine.  I love their washi.  This set is 10 rolls, I think.  It's so pretty from the pictures. The thing about their washi, is it's always better looking in person than in pictures. I love their washi!  I'll post pictures tomorrow.  

Oh! I also found another Fossil purse on ebay. ^^;;;;; I saw it, watched it, and then bought it all within five minutes. lol . I hope I love it in person as much as I did on the site.  That hasn't shipped yet, so I'm not sure when I'll get it.

Hello again!

I bet you thought I forgot to post yesterday, didn't you?  Well, I didn't!  I had power issues.  My power went out around 2:30 pm yesterday and it didn't come back until 5:15 pm today!  Believe me was I glad to see it back.  Yesterday was one crazy thing after another.  I went out at my regular lunch time and nothing was open.  The power was out all over the city.  We had a LOT of rain in a very short time and some extremely high winds.  It was nuts.  I think a tornado touched down here but I don't know if that has been confirmed.  The first time I went out to try and find something open so I could get food, it was insane.  It was still raining and nasty.  There were roads under water, trees across roads, waterfalls where there are no waterfalls, etc.  It was very exciting, but very scary!  I actually had to drive UNDER two trees that were across the road and then drive around another tree on the same road.  Luckily that was back near my neighborhood so my happy ass went home!

After the worst of the storms were over and it was only raining a little, I went back out to go to two different areas of the city that I didn't get to last trip.  One area was completely without power and the other area was blocked due to water in the road.  I had to go a crazy round about way, but I finally got back home.  That time, I decided I should just stay in!  I wrote a stack of pen pal letters on the MBP but of course, I couldn't mail them!  I also couldn't charge the MBP or my phone.  Oh and my data that I usually can use in a power outage decided to not work too!  I couldn't even get on to post that I couldn't post! Lol

So later, my friend texted and asked if I had power yet.  No, I said, what about you?  He didn't either.  He asked if I wanted to ride somewhere and try to find something open to get food. I agreed immediately!  We found two fast food places that were open but they were backed up like crazy.  We found another one that had people inside eating, but when we got to the drive thru, they said they were closed. BOO!  He mentioned a gas station / convenience store that usually had deli sandwiches and stuff.  We went there.  They were busy busy, but they had sandwiches!  I got two bacon, egg, and cheese croissants.  They were so delicious.  After not eating all day, they were ambrosial!  I got a bag of chips and a Mountain Dew.  I also got a bag of mini chocolate chip cookies and a bag of Funyuns to have for today.

So, I had to sleep with no air conditioning last night.  Luckily it wasn't too hot.  I am a person who likes to have my bedroom as an arctic climate when I sleep because I like to snuggle under covers.  I can't sleep unless I have some kind of cover on me.  I toss most of my bedding to the bottom of the bed and only used a light sheet and a blanket.  I finally got to sleep. One good thing about the power being out was that it was totally dark. I like it to be as dark as possible when I sleep.  I got my wish for sure last night.  I couldn't see anything.  

So, today, I get up when my Fitbit alarm goes off, actually I was awake a bit before it did.  The power was still off, so that meant no coffee. OH NOES!  I drank a room temperature Mountain Dew. BLEAH!  I love cold soda. I DO NOT like warm soda.  I had to have the caffeine though!

I decided to walk since I missed the last two days and there was nothing to do here anyway!  I got in a good walk.  I had to walk carefully in some areas because of downed lines and downed trees, but it was mainly okay.  The whole business section I pass when I'm walking was without power and still is as of about 20 minutes ago.  I had to run out to mail a package.  

I was able to get a cold Coke (Thank the Goddess) at my turn around point. I came home and my power was still out.  Boo.  I noticed last night when I went out with my friend that my other friend that lives at the top of my street had power! WHAT?!  UGH.  Her street is on another transformer or something.  So, today, when I walked by there, I noticed that her son was home.  He is 21 and in college to be a doctor and I love him to pieces.  I called and asked if it would be okay for me to come up and charge my phone and my laptop.  He said sure so I went.  I charged my Macbook to about 80% and my phone to almost 100 and headed home.  They have power and they have a coffee maker.  I made myself a cup. LOL . 

So, I had a nicely charge phone and MBP.  I came home and was trying to decide what to do about food.  I checked my phone and my data was working again so I was looking to see if I could find out what was open today.  A lot of city was / still is out.  My friend texted me and said if I could wait a bit, he'd pick me up and we'd go eat.  I did, and he did.  We ate and then he dropped me home.  While I was waiting for him to show, my power came back. YAY!  His didn't, though.  Sorry, friend!  

So, when we got back and he dropped me off, his power was still off.  I went out just a few minutes ago to mail off a package from one of my ebay auctions and a business that is a few streets over from his house had power when they didn't earlier and it looked like several houses on his street had power.  He had gone out to a friend's house since they had power.  I guess he'll head home soon.  I know I'm glad to have mine back!

While I was at the post office mailing that package, I also mailed off the letters I wrote last night. I was able to print them off today. I had to type them because it was the only way I could see to write them. LOL . OH!  After today's walk, something was hurting me on my chest right below my shoulder. It's way dark in the house without lights even in the daytime, so I couldn't see what it was.  I reached and a felt what felt like a flying stinging insect. I still don't know what it was or if it's still in my house.  It put a nice sized hole in me and it HURT.  Oh man, did it hurt. I'm pretty sure it was a wasp or a yellow jacket or something of the sort.  It's actually feels hot right now.  Not good! 

Ah, well, I just wrote my book for Nano in this post. LOL Well, I didn't get to post yesterday so there you go.  I should be able to sleep well tonight with the air going. Yay!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Hello from the MacBook Pro!

Yes, it finally came and I love it to pieces.  I filmed myself opening the box just in case there was any issues or problmes.  There were none!  I got it turned on and it was already 'setup' with a admin user.  I wanted my own stuff, so I looked at how to do that.  Just go into the command line in the startup.  Since I've used Linux, command line is not a problem!  I got it set up for me and and it's so cool!  I have all the programs on it that I wanted to move over.  The only thing left is PhotoShop Elements and it's installing now.  I'm very happy with this MBP!  It's super fast and all the things that were so slow on my Macbook are not on here.  It's so nice!

So, I did walk today.  The laptop hadn't gotten here before I left, so I decided I should go ahead and walk.  I knew if I didn't walk and it didn't come during the time I could have walked, I would have been so upset!  I walked and was cooling down with a snack on my bed and listening for the FedEx man! lol I didn't hear him, but I got a notification on my phone from an app called Slice that said it had been delivered! I jumped up from the bed and ran to the porch. lol . It was sitting there waiting for me.  I finished my snack and then unboxed it.  Hearing that Mac startup sound was music to my ears.  It's so nice.  I'm in love.

My friend knew it was coming today, but he wanted to go eat.  He said if I could pull myself away from it long enough to eat we'd go. LOL . I told him I could and I did!  I also got him to run me by Food Lion.  Today was the last day of the sale, and I wanted to get some more of my favorite frozen dinners.  They had them for $2.50 and if you buy 5, they take $1 off each.  So I got 10 for fifteen dollars. SCORE!!!!!!  They are so good, they remind me of a restaurant quality pasta dish. 

So, he dropped me home and I came right back to the MBP and started installing PSE.  I am going to write letters tonight or tomorrow.  I finally got some stamps today. YAY!  I have so many letters.  I never meant to get this far behind.  Shame on me!
