*Clunk*

That was me falling on the floor. :p I didn't actually fall on the floor, but I felt like it! I got two chores done today before lunch! I went out and mowed. That is never fun. I got that done and came in and got my writing for today done. Another great day of writing. I then decided to get the other chore I needed to do done. I went to the grocery store. That wasn't as bad as I was thinking. It wasn't too busy, so that part was nice. I needed to get a few things and I got them and a lot more. I'm fully stocked for a bit, so that is great.

After I got home, put things away, ate lunch, and relaxed a bit, I wrote more! Yes, I added to my word count. I went in to just tweak a few things and ended up adding more words. I'm not complaining one bit!  It was nice to get more done. Now, I'm going to get off the M1 and relax a bit before doing my nightly Shortwave listening. I just ordered a different kind of antenna on eBay last night. I'm hoping it will help me pull in more channels. We'll see. I'll update you about how it is when I receive it. The best thing about it is that I can use it with my current radio or any future ones I get because of the way it's made. :)

So crazy!

I mentioned several months ago that I ordered a pack of four styluses on eBay that never showed up.  I contacted the seller and they refunded the purchase.  Guess what came today over two months after it was shipped?  Yes, the package with four styluses in it!  I was shocked. I was unsure what to do as I had gotten a refund and the item.  I contacted the seller to let them know and ask what they wanted me to do.  They were very nice and said to just keep the item.  Very nice of them.  I put them on my saved seller lists so I will buy from them again since they were so accommodating.  I looked and they do have some things I could use, so I'll order something from them next month in thanks.

My friend and I did not do our usual Tuesday thrift trip. I was thinking he would want to, but he never mentioned it. He had things to do at home so I think that is why. He did text me later in the evening and mentioned going to a local place to eat.  We did.  It's a walk-up and order type place.  You order, pay, and then they call your number when the food is ready. It's a nice place with good food.  We did that and then I went and got $10 worth of gas. I would have gotten more but I was down to $12 and I like to leave at least a few dollars in there!

Friday fun with thrifting.....

So, I thought my friend and I were not going to thrift today. He had the day off and didn't mention it so I was settled in at my desk ready to spend the day on my Mac and write and just enjoy my day.  He had texted me earlier this morning and didn't mention going, so I thought that was that. He texted around 2 this afternoon and mentioned going. I really wanted to just stay at home, but I agreed to go.  I dressed and went out and washed off Goontz.  It's pollen season and my Goontz had a layer of yellow/green pollen all over.  I got that done and then waited for my friend.  He came and we went to Reidsville. He ate at Bojangles and then went to the Salvation Army store.  I found a Sony clock radio for $2, a pack of Post-it note page flags, (Well two packs), and a package of pretty napkins. Don't judge me! lol  We went to the Goodwill and I only found one item. It's a Jack o lantern metal candle holder that originally came from Bath and Body Works. It was very cute and caught my eye so I got it.

We then went to the Goodwill in Walkertown NC. I found a little purple jack o lantern candle holder in there.  I also found a very nice little cabinet/stand. Here is a picture.  It still has the letter stickers from where it was assembled and the price sticker.  It was only $8 and I am not sure where I'm going to put it, but it's in excellent condition. The drawer works well and the shelf is adjustable.

Point Blur_Apr162021_225035

It will be a nice addition to my house.  I just have to figure out where I'm going to use it!  We went to Mayodan after that and I only found two things.  A disk holder and a sleep mask.  The disk holder is a Fellows brand and it was for computer disks back in the day. It will be perfect to hold my specialty Starbucks cards.  I was going to search for one of these for that purpose and this one was there so I got it. It's in great shape, too! Speaking of Starbucks cards, several I ordered on eBay arrived today!  I was happy to get them. I only have one thing that I'm waiting on now and that is a Starbucks tumbler.  I saw it in-store when I went to the 'new' Starbucks in Greensboro and I knew I wanted it.  I decided to look on eBay. I knew I'd have to pay more for it, but I found one that was only a few dollars more with free shipping so that saves me trying to find it at the local Starbucks. :)

I forgot to mention that I found a Fossil purse at the Walkertown store but I had to pass it up as it was priced pretty high.  I was short on funds. My friend got the little cabinet for me. He would have gotten the purse too and let me pay him back for both, but I'm still doing monthly payments on the Docs! We went back to Reidsville before heading home and ate at Carmela's.

Tuesday seems to be a thrift day......

So I was sitting at home on the laptop and my friend texted and asked if we were going to Reidsville today. I said sure if he wanted.  I got dressed and then went over to his house. He pulled up right after I did, so that was great timing.  We got on the road after he went in for a few and went to the Salvation Army store first.  I found a few things in there.  I found a removable purse organizer (can also be used for bullet journal organization), a clear zipper pouch for a binder, a puzzle,  a little Post-it note dispenser, and I think that was it.  My friend found a nice car phone holder and bought it for me.  We left there and went to Pete's to eat.  After Pete's, we went to the Goodwill. Wait, he ran by a music store first, and then we went to Goodwill.  At Goodwill, I found a Fossil bag, It's one of the Key.Per bags.  It still had its key and little 'charm' thingee, too! I also found a little wooden 'basket' with jack o lanterns on both ends, I got a mini lunchbox with snowmen on it, and a nice Kitchen Aid kettle. I've been meaning to buy a kettle and I saw this one and it's in great shape and the inside is very clean.  We left there and went back to Pete's and got ice cream before heading back to Danville.  We went to the two Goodwill stores here.  We went to the regular one and I only found one thing. It was a cute ceramic Jack o lantern.  We went to the other one.  Now, for this store, we went once several years ago and they were rude and really pissed me off and I haven't been back since. I decided to give them one more chance and we went tonight.  Luckily it was different people working and much nicer ones, too!  I got TWO Fossil bags!  I also found a CD, a little package of Jack O lantern bags/envelopes, and a little thing of notes that are shaped like A's, and the little container that holds them has A's on it too.  Very cute  It was a good thrift trip! I wasn't really expecting it. I thought he would want to skip it but he didn't.  I am glad he didn't. Three 'new' Fossil bags! :)  It seems like I am forgetting something but I can't remember what it is! I did write today. I actually got in a little over 2000 words! I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to do CampNaNoWriMo this year and if I do, what I'm going to do for it.  I don't have a lot of time left to figure it out!

I just remembered the other thing I got tonight. The GW I gave another chance to had clothes hangers 10 for $1 so I got one pack. I seem to always be out of hangers! So, that is it, the accounting of my day.  I am home and I'm going to get off this laptop as soon as I post this. I am going to relax a bit before bed and re-read what I wrote today.  I have two packages that I hope are coming tomorrow. One package has two DS games that I found on eBay and the other package is a set of styluses for it. The first order never came and the seller refunded me so I ordered another set on Amazon.  I know Ill get those!  The next thing I want to get for it is a replacement bottom screen and then a clear case for the outside but those can both wait.

Starbucks cards!

I got two orders of Starbucks cards today from the same seller.  They are the fall collection and one summer card.  When I got cards at the beach, I was only able to find two of the fall ones.  I had the "You're My Fave" and "Fall Sweet Fall" but not the other ones.  I am happy to add these to my collection!

PXL_20200929_024307318

I think I forgot to mention that right when I got back from the beach, I got the set of Starbucks cards I ordered. I forgot to mention them or show them off.  It was the alphabet collection from 2014.  There are 26 cards. Each has a letter on it A-Z.  I love growing my collection!

While I was putting this latest batch in my binder, I went to organize the extra two cards and made a bit of a filing system for the extra cards I have.  So far, I've only done the old all plastic cards. I'll get to the paper ones next.  I did it like them by year from 2011 on.  I have any from 2004-2010 in the front (I don't have many) and then I have each year.  That way when I get cards, I can keep them organized by year. It will also help if I ever trade cards.  I can find them much quicker by just looking at that years cards!

Another Leuchtturm 1917? Yes!

I have my notebook for my 2021 bullet journal and it's a Leuchtturm1917!  This is my fourth one.  It's yellow and it's so pretty.  I will probably add a decal or sticker to the front at some point.  This years I had already planned the decal for it.  It was a Myrtle Beach one that matched the cover.  I will look to see if I can find a cute decal when we go to the beach next month. If not, I'll use a sticker.  I got a little packet of Adventure Time stickers in the mail yesterday.  They came in with the order where I ordered the Leuchtturm.  I also ordered a few more things that arrived yesterday.  The last item in that order was supposed to come today, but it didn't.  Hopefully, it will come tomorrow.  It's a passport size TN. ^^: Yes, I know I don't need any more TNs! ;p

An eBay item that I ordered last week came today, too.  My Note has all four of the Nissan hubcaps on it, but the front driver side one had broken pieces and it's cracked in places. I was able to find one on eBay and ordered it. It finally came today.  I was able to put it on after some fun of trying to get it on. LOL, The old one was easy to get off, the new one took me a bit but it's on.  Now my wheels all look good.

The next thing I want to get for the Note is the cargo cover.  I don't know why they don't have that included when you buy the car. I've seen other people mention this, so I don't think this one is just missing one from a previous owner.  The cargo cover (Nissan branded) is a bit over $100 so I am going to keep looking. I'm hoping to find one for a much, much lower price!

Here is the newest Leuchtturm.  I can't wait to set it up and hope that 2021 is much better than this crazy year!

Oops, impulse!

I just ordered another Fossil bag on eBay.  It was one I was looking at when I bought the cute little striped one.  I got an alert today that a bag on my watch list was about to end via auction. It was cheap and still at the opening bid, so I decided to bid on it. I won with the opening bid. Yay! It's another fabric one and a pattern I've wanted for a while now.  I'll take pictures when it gets here.

I ran to the grocery store today to get a few things I missed when I went earlier.  I participate in a program they have that when you buy x amount of something in different departments, you get some money back on a future trip. (Example, spend $30 in frozen, get $5 back.) I had enough rewards today that my total was free.  That was crazy! I didn't mind though!

I got myself a treat at the store today. I bought a pint of ice cream. Not just any ice cream, but coffee ice cream. Yummy!  I used to get a coffee ice cream from Starbucks, it was in grocery stores. It was SO good.  I decided to give this a try.  I wish Starbucks still made it.  I haven't tried this yet, but I'm hoping it's good.  Coffee ice cream? How could it be bad? :P

Missed posts...

Yes, I know I didn't post yesterday. I planned to, but I did so much yesterday, it was hard to keep up! :P

I washed my bed linen, I fixed my bed (it fell again), I washed a TON of dishes, I washed my hair, I took out the trash, I carried branches to the street, and I put away the laundry I washed yesterday.  Phew. I'm tired just telling you about it. I also fixed my box fan.  It stopped working Saturday night and I was scared it was dead for good. It's really old. It's a metal box fan with controls.  They don't make them like this anymore!

I took the back off yesterday and used a hand held vacuum to clean out the build up of dust and dirt from over the years.  I cleaned everything I could reach and then put it back together. It worked!  I was very happy that it works.  I love that thing!

Today, it rained and it actually cooled down a bit outside.  That was a nice change.  It cooled down so much that when I ran out in the car this evening, I didn't even have to turn the air on!  That was nice. IT won't last long, but I'll take it while I can get it.

I recently bought a very cute Fossil bag on eBay and it came today. It's a bit smaller than I was thinking it would be, but it fits everything just fine, so that is okay. It's also crossbody and I love those.  Here it is:

20200803_212451

It's very cute. It has a lot of pockets.  There are two on the outside under the front flap, three inside the bag itself, a pocket on the back (that fits my phone perfectly), and a zipper pocket on the flap. (Easy access to my lip balm!) Of course, as usual, the picture does not do it justice.

Evernote love!

If you have read my blog for a while, you know I love Evernote. I have Moleskine Evernote notebooks, en Evernote Jot stylus, and even some cool Evernote stickers.  I added one more thing to my collection today.  This awesome Evernote triangle messenger/laptop bag.  It was originally sold via Evernote Marketplace.  Sadly, they closed shop so it's hard to find anything except via eBay or other second hand methods.  Well, I found my holy grail of Evernote items.  (well, one of two.  There is still a shirt I must have!) Anyway!  I found two sellers with the Evernote commuter bag on eBay recently and I was able to snag one.  It's so cool!  It is very awesome. It takes up a small amount of space, but it has a lot of room inside!  It is made to sit upright on the desk or surface you are using.  I love it.  I can't wait for things to get back to normal so I can take it to Starbucks. :)

I took a few pictures to share. I couldn't do outside pictures because of the rain, but I tried my best to use the best lighting. I swear the lighting in my house SUCKS!  I should have filled the bag for one shot, but I didn't.  Here is the outside and two shots of inside:

20200521_171102

20200521_171102

20200521_171102

That little divider in the last picture can be moved.  It originally came with two more of those, but I'm not complaining. I'm going to move that one down to the end and have it big enough to hold my laptop charger. I'll have the rest of the room for other stuff.  That is the one thing about most laptop bags, they aren't really designed for chargers! This has room for it and so much more.  I love that the front flap folds down so you can get to everything.

The seller also tossed in an unexpected bonus.  A Moleskine travel journal!  Awesome sauce!  You know I love Moleskines!  Such a nice surprise. ^_^.

Oh my Glob!

I got a late start on writing tonight but I still got in over 1700 words. I'm now less than 3000 from 50,000! Whoo-hoo!  I could have gone on tonight, but I was at a good point to stop, so I did. It's going well.

I got my bed linen washed today and it's ready to go back on the bed.  I just need to get up and do that!  I put away another load of laundry today that I washed yesterday, I washed my hair, and I washed my bed linens. I meant to go spend some time in the yard as it was nice today, but it rained overnight, so the ground would be wet.  I ended up staying in all day. D'oh!

I did read a lot in my current book. It's pretty good.  Depending on how it turns out, I'll decide if I am going to continue with the series or start something else. I'm thinking I'm going on, but we'll see.  I like a lot of characters in the book.

Speaking of my current book (the one I'm writing) I am considering killing off one of my main characters!  I am undecided at the moment.  It would make it so damn sad.  I was just going to have the character have some serious health issues, but I'm still unsure. I love him, I don't want to kill him!

Monday again...

Here it is, Monday again.  I swear I don't know what day it is half the time anymore. Thanks, COVID- 19!  I woke up a lot earlier than my alarm this morning. I got up to go to the bathroom and I was totally awake so there was no going back to bed. D'oh!  Oh well, hopefully tonight I'll get to sleep early and crash until my alarm tomorrow.

I just finished writing for CampNaNoWriMo.  I got a little over 1700 words today.  It's going along pretty well!  I was feeling sort of meh earlier and was going to just type a few words but I kept at it and got in what I did.  That made me happy!  I also had no nose bleeds today or overnight and that made me happy too!  I was afraid I'd wake up with a mess but I didn't.  I'm being very careful!  I think the air purifier that my friend suggested it helping.

Oh! I mentioned yesterday that I was watching one of the earliest Starbucks cards on eBay.  The seller offered me a deal today on it so I got it! :). I will be so happy to have that in my collection! It's in excellent condition and the pin is covered. Yay!  The three that I won yesterday were shipped out today.

As for my Kindle, it is now saying it will be here Wednesday.  Better than Friday!  The only thing is the case for it hasn't shipped! lol. This is the reverse of last time.  I got the case and then the Kindle.  This time it looks like I'll get the Kindle and then the case. :p

I have something to keep it in for a few days so it will be okay.  The case was supposed to be delivered on Wednesday so it may come the same day.  I keep hoping that UPS will update and show the Kindle being delivered tomorrow.  I can hope, right?!

Yay for the rain stopping!

It was supposed to rain all day today, but luckily when I got up today there was sunshine.  It did get overcast later, but it never rained.  I live in a river city as I've mentioned before and we had a LOT of flooding here in the city.  There are roads closed and underwater.  I was glad it stopped raining because I had to run to the bank today.  I wanted to get out a few dollars since my friend and I were doing our thrift store run tomorrow.  I probably won't get my new debit card until Monday or later, so I just wrote a check for cash and got $20.  I am sure if I run out of cash, my friend will front me until I can get my debit card and pay him back.

That crazy puzzle is driving me nuts!  I got a lot more done of it today, but I think some of the parts are not done correctly.  The raspberries are the hardest part and I'm working on them.  I finally just gave up for the evening and I thought I'd leave it until tomorrow.  I was just getting frustrating! I might take parts out and do it over.  I know the blueberries are right.  It's just those darn raspberries.

Here is the progress:

20200207_223051

I am going to take out the majority of the raspberries tomorrow and start over on that part.  The puzzle wouldn't be so bad if the pieces were cut almost in exactly the same shapes.  Pieces fit where they don't do.  It's frustrating, but I'm determined to finish it!

I got a new wallet in the mail today from eBay. It's a Relic brand. I'm pretty sure they are also a Fossil brand, just the cheaper version of their stuff.  I had a Relic wallet a long time ago that I adored. I wore it just about out.  I looked recently to see if I could find a version of it and did. It's smaller than the one I had, but it's pretty similar.  It's blue and I love it.  Here is the new wallet:

20200207_223146

It's a smaller wallet than my usual ones. It's a good size for my smaller purse.  I liked my Pink Fossil wallet, but it's really too tiny.  This is perfect. I can put my most used cards in it and my coupons and other things without it being overstuffed.  I don't like to overstuff my wallets.  This little wallet has a removable wrist strap and a shoulder strap that can be used.  I am not using either, but I have them stored in case I want to use them. The best thing? This is brand new and it still had the tags. I got it for a lot less than the list price. :)

I put a load of clothes in to wash last night and then forgot to move them to the dryer because I got caught up in my current read. I had to make myself stop reading so I could go to bed!  I am sure my clothes would have been okay to just toss in the dryer today, but just to be on the safe side, I rinsed them and spun them and then tossed them in the dryer.  I just need to get those out and put them away. I plan to do that after posting here.

Yikes!

So I had to run to the store and swap out my out of date hot dogs and pick up a few things I needed.  They are calling for bad weather tomorrow.  Nothing major, just a little ice and rain in the morning.  It won't amount to anything, but that doesn't mean everyone in the city doesn't panic and rush to the grocery store.  I really should have waited to go tomorrow, but I just ran down and got what I needed. It wasn't too bad and I got through and came back home.

I finished the puzzle I started yesterday. It's missing a piece. ~_~;  Seriously!  I am hoping I just dropped it and it will turn up.  It's so frustrating to have a brand new puzzle with missing pieces!  Ahh!

Now, for the fun stuff!  I have had a mouse pad since the 90's. It is my favorite mouse pad ever, but it had gotten old and worn out. I didn't toss it, but I put it aside.  I starting searching eBay for another one.  Well, I found one a few days ago.  They had it for $20 with $5 shipping.  I wanted it, but that was more than I wanted to pay.  They did have 'make an offer' so I figures, why not?  I send an offer of $15 so it would be $20 shipped.  The seller accepted and said if I paid he'd ship that day.  This was Saturday. I paid and he shipped.  It came today.  It's brand new still in the package and I love it.  What is the hollowed mouse pad you ask? Homer Simpson!  This was always my favorite mouse pad and I was very sad when mine got so dirty and worn out.  Now I have a new one to replace it. ^_^   I'll post the puzzle and my Homie below! :p

Two more cards, yay!

I got the last two Starbucks cards I bought recently.  The lollipop one is totally new to me and the one with the two espresso shots is a duplicate, but it's still got the sticker and it has the pin covered so, yay!

I went through today and got my list of this year's holiday cards that I haven't gotten. I hope to be able to get the ones I'm missing. It's not a lot, but I still need several to finish the set for this year. I can get any of the multiple packs on eBay afterward. It's just a few single ones I need.  The only bad thing is, it's really close to Christmas and I'm not sure I want to go anywhere near the mall.  Starbucks is in a small strip of stores in the mall parking lot, doh!

I have a secret!

I've been using Inbox ever since they did away with it.  How?  I used the last version before the update that killed it.  Sadly, today, it died.  Now I'm desperately looking for a decent alternative.  I've tried quite a few and I like some things about a few of them, some things about others, but in general, I hate them all! :(  I just want Inbox back.  Right now I'm giving Edison, Spark, and Gmail a try.  I am not a happy camper at all!

I do have some good things to share today!  I started another puzzle and got a little bit done on it and I got a package in today's mail.  What was it?  Well, I'll tell you! I have been looking at mini printers for a while now.  I thought it would be fun to have one for putting pictures in my bullet journal.  I found a deal on Amazon for a Canon Ivy, a case, and a package of the zink paper that it uses.  The items all together were right at $140.  More with tax.  I had a $100 visa card that I got recently and wondered if there were anyway to get these three items with that.  I found someone with an Ivy on eBay for $60!  It was brand new in the package.  I was happy since it retails for $129. You can usually get it for about $100 if you look for a deal.  This was a really great deal!

So, I found that I could get that.  I then went on Amazon to see if I could get a pack of the zink paper and a case for the remainder of the Visa card.  I was able to do just that!  I got the Canon Ivy printer, a 50 pack of paper, and a case.  All for just under $100!  Score!  The case and paper came from Amazon yesterday and you know it was annoying not having the printer!  It had an estimated / guaranteed delivery date on Saturday.  This would work because I wanted to carry with me to the beach.  Instead of it coming Saturday, it came today. Whee!

So, it gets here.  I anxiously 'unbox' it and find that it is, in fact, a Canon Ivy and it's brand new.  It's white and mint which is the one I wanted from the first time I saw them.  I tried it out immediately!  It works great.  The pictures aren't  the highest quality, but they are pretty good! I am going to enjoy being able to add pictures to my bujo as I go along.  I also hope to add some cool beach pictures in there, too!

So, I got my Canon Ivy today and I love it.  I took some pictures of it and the puzzle to share so let's get to that, shall we?
