What the Junk?!

Yeah, there were absolutely no plans to thrift today.  My friend has been saying he'd put new tires on Goontz since we've driven it so much and it was needed new tires when he got it.  He took it today and got tires.  He then wanted me to drive it to see how it felt with the new tires.  That was nice.  I switched spots with him and we went by Wendy's for me to grab a bite to eat as it was past my lunchtime.  After that, we went to Cookout so he could get a shake.  He mentioned drying on the highway and said something about Eden, NC.  I said, how about Martinsville instead.  That is what we did.  We went to the Goodwill in Martinsville and the one in Bassett (just up the road about 10 minutes).  At the first GW, I found some Avery address labels new in the package, three packs of business card binder pages, (I use these for my Starbucks cards), a purple binder with some divider inserts already in there, a cute little canvas bag, and a plastic kitchen spoon!  That was a nice little haul.  We went to the Bassett one and I found a pair of Dr. Martens in my size that looked almost brand new.  They were $40 and I didn't have that much, so my friend got them and I'm going to pay him back $10 a month for the next four months. Cool!  They are pretty cool, they are a bit shiny and look either purple or burgundy.  Just depends on the lighting.  They are very cool and I've never had a pair of Docs.  Here they are:

Cool, yes? My size, in great condition for a good price, and they are comfy!  I was very pleased to get them.  The only other thing I found in there was a puzzle.  I got it for .69¢. I really need to start working on puzzles again!  While we were out, we went by the car wash and washed Goontz.  Later, we took it by another car wash and I vacuumed it well.  My Goontz has new tires, is clean inside and out and I'm pleased! ^_^

Here is the cute little bag. It has blueberries on it! It has a tag that says, "Stonewall Kitchen" in it.  I just thought it adorable and had to have it. It rang up a whole .99¢!

Impromptu thrift trips are fun!  In other news, my set of Styluses that I ordered from Amazon came today.  I also received my order from eBay of two DS games. One is Scribblenauts and one is an Adventure Time game! YAY! The AT game is, "Hey Ice King! Why Did You Steal Our Garbage??!" :p

Sorry about not posting for the last two days.  On Wednesday, I walked, but I got blisters.  This was unusual.  I was not happy about that.  That evening, I fully intended to post to my blog and I got to doing other things I forgot.  I did a puzzle that day and wanted to share it.  I'll share it today.

First though, let's talk about yesterday.  I didn't walk.  I woke up feeling pretty bleah and out of sorts.  I decided I'd walk later in the day.  I took a nap, and relaxed.  I didn't feel like doing much.  My friend texted me and asked if I wanted to try one of the restaurants here in town we've wanted to try but have't yet.  I said, yes!  It's a local Italian restaurant. It was delicious.  I got Fettuccini Alfredo. OMG it was so good.  They serve it with a bread roll and Foccia bread.   Yummy!  I enjoyed it a lot.  Definitely a place to go back to!

When we got back to my house, my friend put some stuff in my car to see if it would help it run a little better. We drove around a bit to see if it helped.  It didn't. lol Oh well! After he left, I got in my mail and saw that I had a sample of dog treats.  I got them to give to my friend's dog.  I went up to their house and treats were passed out all around. lol . I stayed awhile and then headed home.  I didn't start my next puzzle because it was late.  I decided to wait until today.  I worked the whole thing. lol  Here is the one from two days ago and today's:

These were both from the box of 6.  The first was 300 pieces and the second was 500.  I'll probably do the last puzzle in the box tomorrow (or at least start it).  I also decided to put some of my Adventure Time stickers to good use.  I put them on the MacBook Pro.  I laid them out and figured out the design before sticking them on.  I wanted to put on Marcy and PB too, but I didn't have room.  I like the way the ones I put on look.  Here is that:

I love my Adventure Time episode tracker! I used some of my Adventure Time stickers. Here is the finished product: 

The Adventure Time logo at the bottom isn't a sticker. It came off some packaging and I just made a color copy. I love my spread. I am going to alternate the blue and yellow pens to mark episodes as I watch them. It's going to be fun! 

My walk was really hot today, but I got it in. Gladly, today is the last day of the festival! I probably won't be able to walk through the park tomorrow, but I should be able to by Wednesday at the latest. When I got home, cooled off, and relaxed, I worked on my puzzle. I finished it! 

So, I have been wanting to do an episode tracker in my bujo for some time.  I thought I'd do it for Adventure Time!  I printed out a list of all the episodes so I can do a layout in my bujo.  I want to put all the episode names, but that might take up too much room. I haven't decided exactly how I plan to do it.  We'll see!

As for walking, I did just that today.  It was very hot as I expected and it was not easy to convince myself to go, but I did it!  The park wasn't too bad when I went by.  I had to go around people a few times, but it was only on the way down.  On the way back, I avoided it completely. Instead of walking the sidewalk in front of the shopping center, I cut through the sidewalk IN the shopping center.  I didn't have to walk around anyone that way.

I came home and it took a while to cool down.  I was hot, I was sweaty, and most of my clothes were wet from that. Eww!  I finally cooled off, changed and started on my next puzzle.  I got a good portion of it done too.  I decided to stop and go mow.  I got the back park done that I didn't do last time.  I'll have to do the front tomorrow or Monday and again next Sunday before we leave for the beach.  That way, it will be done the day before we leave and hopefully it won't get too bad between then and when we get back that Sunday.

Here is the puzzle so far.  I might do a few more pieces before bed, but I might not.  I was up too late again last night and I'm certainly feeling it today!

Spring Fling, you ask?  That is the name of the design on the blog at the moment.  I always loved this one a lot and was able to get it to show up correctly.  Typepad support was able to get to display when I couldn't.  I went and changed something and then went back to it and it wouldn't display correctly. D'oh! I went in and did some more work and got it to display.  I'm not sure why my blog is giving me so many issues.  Boo on that!  Oh well, it's up.  I didn't realize that when I had the Macaroons, I didn't have my link list.  It is now back.  I might even try again with the GoodNotes widget.  Maybe it will work now? Who knows! :P

So today, when I was supposed to walk, it was raining off and on.  My weather apps all said different things!  I decided to not walk at my usual time and hope it was okay later.  I was able to get a walk in a bit after 5pm. It's a good thing I went when I did!  It rained and stormed off and on after that!  I was glad to have my walk completed.  I was home well before the storms hit. I even stopped off at CVS on my way back and picked up a few essentials that I needed.  One was buy one get one half off but they only had the one. The nice cashier gave me 25% off the item so that worked out well. I also had a $5.00 coupon for $5.00 in Extra bucks and used that.  I had over $10 worth of items and I ended up paying $3.00 and some change.  Nice!

I couldn't wash my hair when I came home because I need to cool down and relax for a moment.  Then, it was lightning, so I had to wait.  I just got that done and I'm sitting here with my hair up in a turby twist thingee.  I did not want to sit under the hair bonnet dryer.  I just hope it dries before bedtime. I don't usually wait this late to wash it!  My bed linen is in the dryer and I just need to get that and put it back on the bed.

I am in serious need of a snack.  Too bad I don't have any snacks in the house.  I do have some popsicles though.  They can be a nice cool snack. :p . I have been working on my packing list for the beach trip as I go along.  I already have a ton of shirts to carry.  I carry more than I need because when I walk during the day, I come back to the room all hot and sweaty and I don't want to wear that shirt if we go out in the evening.  I'm going to pack enough so I'll have at least two shirts a day.  I also figured I could wash some in the sink and toss them on the balcony to dry and re-wear them.  

Speaking of shirts, I was looking on eBay and I came across a really cute Finn one.  It was a Loot Crate exclusive.  It will shock anyone who knows me.  It doesn't have Jake on it anywhere! LOL . It was just too cute to pass up and since it was in a Loot Crate, I wouldn't have been able to get it any other way.  I paid less than $10 for it shipped, so I'm pretty happy about that!  

I wanted to order myself a Dead Dog Saloon shirt from DD at Murrell's Inlet, but they don't have any of their shirts on their site for sale at the moment.  Weird!  I am hoping we'll go to the Dead Dog while we are down there, but there is no guarantee.  If we do, I'm probably going to get a shirt.  

I have filled up my Beach Trip Bingo completely now except for one space!  I still need to figure out what to put in that space.  I made sure to only put things in there that I knew we'd do or things I could get to on my own.  My friend sometimes gets cranky and doesn't want to do certain things, so I only put things on there that I know I can accomplish.  Examples include: Visit the Gay Dolphin, Starbucks, Walk on beach, etc.  It's going to be fun to fill my bingo card. ^_^

Okay, I think I've rambled on enough for one day!  I need to get a few more things done and then I'm going to relax for a bit.  I'm currently reading a zombie book that is pretty boring. LOL . It's not that it's boring, really, I just don't care for the characters.  I'm going to try to finish it so I can get on to something else!  Wish me luck!  I also plan to try the Goodreads widget again. If you don't see a Goodreads widget on my blog by Monday, I failed again. :P

I added a sticker to the front of my bullet journal. It is one of the Adventure Time stickers that I got on Amazon recently. I think it's perfect!

I just watched the Adventure Time finale. OH MY GLOB!  OH MY GLOB! OH MY GLOB!  I can't even talk about it.  I don't want to spoil anyone that may not have seen it yet. It was EPIC.

So, for something totally different.  Here is my purse and all the stuff inside dumped out.

Exciting, isn't it? LOL!  I have a Finn and Jake pin and a Corgi pin as you can see.  I also have a Myrtle Beach charm keychain and an Adventure Time charm keychain.  The bag itself has Police Line Do Not Cross on it so that is already decorated. :P  The contents are my wallet, earbuds, Starbucks coffee sleeve, pen pouch, lip balm pouch, altoids tin with honey packets in in,  owl case with with reusable shopping bag, black card holder, wet naps, small Altoids tin with bulb that I need to replace in it, and a mini sewing kit.

So, what is in your purse?

No, not really, but I think I set a record for myself today! :P  I had six cups of coffee, and one of those was Starbucks!  I had no plans to go to Starbucks today.  I had planned to stay in and relax while doing my regular Sunday chores.  I was in the middle of an episode of Sailor Moon when my phone rang.  It was my friend that I'm always trying to get to go to Starbucks with me.  She wanted to go to Starbucks! LOL!  I couldn't say no when I ask her all the time, now could I? :P  We went and I got a cascara latte and a chocolate chip cookie. :p  It was good.

I did my workouts today, washed my bed linen and put it back on the bed, washed my hair, washed another load of clothes.  Those I need to check on and see if they are ready for the dryer. I also ran out to the post office.  I only got one letter.  Phooey!  I plan to write my letters tomorrow and get them all caught up.  I'll try to mail them tomorrow too, if possible.  I am so behind on everything! Sheesh!

OH! I watched all four of the new Adventure Time episodes on PS VUE. I have Adventure Time as one of my favorite shows so it saved all four of the new episodes.  They were all good, but they just left me wanting more.  They need to put out episodes in a timely manner.  I know there isn't a lot of the show left, but I want to see what I can.  

So, I rode with a friend of mine to Greensboro today for her doctor's appointment.  Her son went too.  He has been watching Sailor Moon and it made me want to re-watch it.  I saw that it was on Hulu, so I have started over from the beginning.  The quality is so good.  I'm an old time fan from the fan sub days.  The quality of some of those tapes was SO BAD.  This is such a treat being able to watch it like this!  I am up to the episode before Ami-chan shows up.  I'm waiting on Rei because she is and always has been my favorite.  I'm enjoying watching it.  I had to figure out how to make the subtitles show on Hulu, but I did and now I'm good!

As for Starbucks, my friend who had to go to Greensboro asked me yesterday if I'd go.  I said yes, if I got to go to a Starbucks. LOL  I went to one I've been to before but it's been a long time.  I will be able to add it to my tracker.  They also had stickers!  The barista give me eight of them. :D  These are a lot smaller than the one I got at the beach and they are clear around the Siren.  I put four on my Macbook. :P  I'll use the others for bullet journalling.  Speaking of my bujo, I didn't get around to making my beach trip page last night.  I think I'm going to wait until I get some ink for my printer so I can put some of the pictures I took on my trip in there.  I think that would be cool.

While in Greensboro, we went to P.F. Chang's for lunch.  I had an email that had, 'buy one entree, get one free' so we did that.  I was broke, so that was the only way I could have eaten.  Well, she was going to get my lunch for going with her, but I told her about the deal I had to save her some money. ^_^ I told her since I saved her money on lunch she should have bought my Starbucks! LOL!

It was a full day.  I came home and watched some Night Court and then I looked for Sailor Moon and found it on Hulu.  They have all 200 episodes. I just hope they don't take them off before I can re-watch the entire show.  It's been a lot of years since I've seen it all.  It's still good, but there are some things that annoy me.  They translate Mamo saying "bun head" instead of "dumpling head".  Dumpling head just sounds better! LOL  Other than that, it's been great.  I know the translations are going to be different as the ones I watched were all fan done.  The quality of the episodes makes up for it.  After I finish the original Sailor Moon, I'll watch Crystal!

Yes, it's Monday again.  I haven't done a lot today as I'm still a bit sick.  It was cold today and it rained some too.  I just stayed in with my tissues! lol  I hope to knock this mess out soon.  I despise to be sick.  I have been doing my daily workouts even though I've been sick.  I also created a new page (Well two page spread) in my new bujo today of Adventure Time quotes!  I can't draw, so I took a picture of Finn and Jake and put it under the page and traced them.  I can't even trace all that great, but I like the results.  I colored in Jake with a yellow colored pencil and I colored in Finn's shirt and shorts with two different blue pencils.  At the top of the other page, I put a little picture (also traced) of Jake.  I was going to do an episode tracker, but there are so many!  I thought a quote one would be cool and I wanted the little 'drawings'.  

I got in a good walk today.  Unfortunately, it was a bit rainy!  I didn't think it would rain, but it did.  It wasn't too bad though.  I only had to use my umbrella for a portion of my walk.  I stopped by the post office, but I didn't have any letters.  I got home and did my workouts, ate lunch, and then ran an errand.  I finally got the clothes I washed yesterday dried!  I forgot about them last night just as I thought I would.  It wouldn't have taken so long to dry them, but I forgot I had several large towels in there.  Oops!

I got them dried and put away this afternoon.  I had planned to stay in after that, but I had to carry something to my friend's house.  I meant to drop it off and come back home. That didn't happen.  I ended up coming home and taking a bath and washing my hair.  I then realized that there was a new episode of Adventure Time!!!!!! I watched that and went, OMG WTF BBQ!!!! lol  Seriously.  The show is getting more though provoking every episode.  Kid's show my ass!

So, I thought I was going to get two walks in today.  I didn't!  I did get a lot accomplished though!  I got in my first walk and it was good, but it was rather hot out there.  I didn't have any mail today either. :(  I mailed all the letters I wrote last night though!

I got home and did my workouts.  I ate lunch after that.  I texted my friend to see if he wanted to walk.  He though so but he had a few things to do first.  He'd let me know.  I waited and waited and waited.  Finally, I asked him if I should just mow my lawn and forget our walk. lol  He said he was done with what he was doing but if I wanted to mow, to go ahead.  I told him that I didn't want to mow at all! I wanted to walk.  We ended up not walking.  He said we'd only have a short time to walk in.  PHOOEY!

I went and mowed my front lawn.  Afterwards, I carried a lot of tree limbs to the street.  I wanted to get the lawn mowed out there before putting the limbs on the street.  I got all that done and then I was roasting!  I am now sitting in my room with the air conditioner on AND the fan! :p  I hope to not have to do anything else until bedtime!  I do need to fix dinner, but that can be as easy as a sandwich or a frozen dinner.  I'll decide what I want.

ALSO!  Today is a new episode of Adventure Time! :)  I'm looking forward to it.  From the description of it, it sounds great.  I'm hoping that Glob/Gob/Grod/Grob are still out there and "Normal man" and Finn and Jake can stay him (them). :)

So, it was supposed to rain all day today.  I had decided to take the day off from walking and go out with my friends.  I get up and prepare to go with them and notice that the sun is out!!!!!  I was not amused.  If I had known it would be nice, I wouldn't have made plans with my friends.  Hopefully it will be sunny tomorrow, too!  One thing though, we went to the library downtown.  I walk past the library every day on my walks.  While we were in there, it rained a little bit.  After we got back to their house to drop stuff off and head back out, it rained some more.  So, technically, it DID rain today.  Oh well.  I have got to realize that taking days off every so often isn't going to hurt me.  I feel guilty when I miss my walks.  I just work on the feeling guilty part!

After I came home from being with them, I did my Blogilates workouts. It's Friday, so it was stretch videos on the calendar. Those were nice.  I enjoyed them.  I still can't do splits. :(  Someday!  I hope to work on them and try to get into them.  I am still several inches from the floor.

While my friend was downtown, she stopped by the post office so I could run in and check my box.  I had four letters! YAY!  I was happy to see my mailbox looking so full.  I'll have plenty of letters for my Starbucks trip this week!

At the library, I got a few true crime books, three computer books, (web design ideas, blogging, CSS)  I would like to learn CSS.  The others I figured would be good choices to read to develop ideas for the blog!  I also signed up for a free online class that teaches CSS and HTML.  I already know basic HTML, so that will help.  I did a little on the class tonight, but I'm going to continue on another day when I'm fresh. I also need to get a notebook out of my crazy supply stash of them to use! :)

I also got five Adventure Time books at the library!  I love the books.  They are usually all color comics based on the show.  There is a Fionna and Cake one and a Marceline one.  I can't wait to read those.  I've checked out all the others one they have. :p

Okay, I am going to relax for a bit and then take a bath before bed.  Well, I'm hoping to be able to take a bath.  With all the rain we've had lately, my basement may be flooded.  If it gets too deep, it extinguishes the pilot light on my water heater.  If it will run hot, I'll be able to take a bath.  Keep your fingers crossed!
