Set up complete... for now!

I thought I would use a Traveler's notebook to enhance my French language studies and this is what I came up with.  I love it!  I'm using my latest TN in an A5 size with three Moleskine cahiers inside.  I hope to have something in each and use this to advance my learning.  I made it all Paris/French themed throughout.  Check it out here:

Yay for the holiday being done!

Now, hopefully things can get back to normal. I walked today and thankfully it wasn't anywhere as near a cold as yesterday. That was a relief.  I didn't want to come home a popsicle again!  It was cold, but not as bad.  I got home and had time to relax a bit before doing my workouts.  They were all cardio.  I did those and then had a bit of time to relax before fixing lunch.

I stopped at the grocery store on my way back from my walk and picked up a few things with my gift card. I actually have a couple of dollars left on it. I got right at $25 but I forgot I had a coupon for 10% off my order and that brought it down a little bit.  I'll have that if I need it later this week or whenever.

I didn't really do much else today.  Just walked, did my workouts, and then stayed in.  I washed several days worth of dishes.  It consisted mainly of plates and coffee cups! :p  I've already done my French lesson, and I took a bath earlier because I was cold and it helped warm me up.  I'm going to get off the computer and crash on my bed with my phone and play Pocket Camp. ^_^

NaNo I don't want to WritMo!

I'm in the home stretch, but I am not sure what to do to finish. I am actually at a good point for the book to end, but I'm several thousand words short.  What I think I'm going to do is finish it tomorrow and then go back and add a few scenes to early days to make it to 50,000 words.  I think that would be best.  I know there are a few parts that I need more things added.  I wrote 1667 today.  I am going to look over the earlier stuff and write myself some notes tonight to add content to the previous days.  I will get to my goal and win again this year!

My walk today was okay. I didn't have to go all the way to the post office, so that was nice. I'm glad I didn't because today was cardio on the workout calendar.  Yikes! LOL  That was hard and it got me all tired and sweaty.  It was good though.

I did start on the second story in Strange Weather last night.  It's really good.  After I post this and do my French lesson, I'm going to read more of that.  I'm yawning my head off at the moment, so let me get my French done and get my Kindle before I fall asleep!

Early post!

I needed to go to the post office and the library today, so I walked.  It was nice outside.  Not really too warm and it was sunny.  I got to the post office and got my letters.  I had to go to the counter because I had a postage due one. This is why I walked so I could get it while they were open.  I did that and then checked my box.  I had more letters, yay!

I left there and headed to the library.  I needed to update my card so I could use the ebook service.  I checked out three books while I was there.  Two French books and Dangerous Ground by M. William Phelps.  I already started on it. :p  The French books are for language learning.  I thought it would be nice to have some backup to Duolingo.  One is a 'workbook' of sorts and the other is French and English grammar.  They are presented side by side for comparison.

I got back in time to do my workouts, but I decided to wait until later this evening to do them.  It's a HIIT routine, so it will only take me thirty minutes.  I can do that later.  I am glad I got to the post office and the library.  I hadn't walked that far in a while, so it was a bit tiring.  I came back and sat on my bed with a cup of coffee and my book.  I'm going to finish typing this up and then ge ready to fix my lunch.  After that, I'll probably just relax for a while and then do my workouts.  I slept a lot better last night than I have for the past week, so that made my walk a bit better.  I also got to meet an adorable Lab and that helped too! :P I played Pokemon Go on the way down, but running that and my fitness app was making the battery go down quickly, so I stopped before I got to my turn around point.

No Starbucks today. :p

No, I didn't make it four days in a row at Starbucks. lol  I will get back over there eventually.  I have two free drinks loaded to my card at the moment. I love Star Dashes!  I also will get a free birthday drink this month as it's my birthday month. Yay!  Today I was so totally sleepy. I DID NOT want to get out of bed! I also didn't want to do my workouts.  I did both!  I got out of bed and took the linens off to wash them.  I always do this on Sunday, but it also kept me from climbing back in! :P

I got my workouts done.  I usually open Youtube on my tablet and then cast the videos to my Roku box.  It was being snarky today and I had to do the first three videos on my laptop.  The tablet screen is just too small!  I finally got the casting to work and did the last two on the television screen.  That is much easier as it's much easier to see and the sound is a lot better!  After doing those, I rested for a few minutes and then was working on my bullet journal.  I got up to fix lunch and then came back to my bujo.  I spent some time on the porch this afternoon with some coffee.  That was nice!

I was one day seven of a Pokemon Go streak.  If you have a seven day streak of hitting Pokestops, you get extra goodies.  I went out long enough to do that and I went to Dollar General while out and picked up a few things I needed.  I was enjoying Unsolved Mysteries and went to watch yet another episode when I found out that I was done! :(  All the original ones with Robert Stack have been watched.  Hopefully they'll add more soon.  I was really loving watching it.

In other news, my bed linen is freshly laundered and back on the bed.  My hair is washed and drying at the moment.  All I have to do now is relax until bedtime.  I may do some more work on my bujo after typing this.  I did my French lesson while on the porch. :)

Duolingo tinycards!

I was doing something online and saw someone mention the flashcards from Duolingo.  I've been doing Duolingo for a long time now and didn't know about this feature.  I went and used my Google-fu and found this:

Duolingo French cards

Very cool resource.  I can use it for practice along with my regular lessons.  I'm enjoying it.  You can even make your own flashcards! How cool is that?  I might have to do that with all the hard words that I'm putting in my notebook.

I'm so tired.

It has been a long day!  I got in my workouts.  It was total body day.  Ouch! LOL  Also, my friend and I went for a walk.  I'm now home and I'm crashed on my bed with the Macbook.  I am going to watch some television and then either take a bath to soak my sore bones, or just lay here and watch tv until bed time! LOL!

I used my notebook today while doing my French lesson.  I put in the words that seemed to be more difficult for me.  I also put in some  sentences.  I think it will be a good resource.  I made a little page to start out the notebook. Bujo style, too. :p

Pretty, yes?  I love it. ^_^

Okay, so here is the notebook with the pen in the front and a view of one of the inside pages.  I think this will be perfect for my French learning.  I looked up the info inside and the codes are for  http://www.stkrit.com  It's probably something I won't use for this notebook, but I might use for something else.  It looks pretty neat!  Here is the notebook cover and the inside:

More about French

I am wanting to start a notebook for my French studies.  I can't decide if I want to do a bullet journal type notebook or just a plain notebook.  I think it would be good to write down words and their translations that I have problems with when I do my lessons.  Writing them down would also let me review things when I'm not online.  I just think it would be helpful to have the extra notes.  I am down to several different notebooks.  Which do I choose?

I'm thinking the orange ring bound one on the bottom left would be the best.  I could lay it either way and it also has a rubber thing around the front where I could store a pen.  It's actually a "Markings" notebook by C.R. Gibson and it came with three codes to use to transfer a page to the web.  I probably would really use that for French, though.  I got in some time back at Target because I thought it was cool.  I tend to buy a lot of notebooks and then never use them. :P  You should see my box of regular full size page notebooks that I have.
