Goodness!

These Thomas Kincade puzzles are very pretty but they aren't the easiest puzzles ever.  They have such muted colors it's difficult to work them but it's worth it when they are done.  They are pretty enough to frame and display.  I am on the third of the 500 piece ones.  I got a good start on it today.  The last 500 piece one has a lot of patches of brighter colors on it so it should be a little easier to do.  We'll see!  I have to get through this one first. lol

I'm not sure how I'm going to work on the 1000 piece one.  The 500 piece ones just fit with the pieces on the board. I guess I'll have to take out a certain color at a time like I used to do back in the early days of puzzles before I had the whiteboard.  I'm sure it will work.

I finished the true-crime book I was reading last night.  I have another one loaded on my Kindle, but I went to my library's ebook section and found a zombie book that looked good, so I borrowed it.  I think I'm going to read that and then read the second true crime book.  It's so hard to find true crime books to borrow. If I liked stupid romance books, I'd be set, but I prefer true crime, drama, dystopian fiction, and the like.

Lame Library?!

Please tell me why I can get ebooks and audiobooks online through my local library, but I can't renew my library card online.  What is this, 1995?!  LOL . I had to go down to the library today to renew my card.  It took all of 2 minutes. Why they can't do it online is beyond me.  Oh well!  It actually expired recently and I went to put a book on hold on Overdrive and it said the card was expired and I'd have to go to the library.  I didn't want to have to go all the way down there, so I asked online if it could be done online.  Sadly, no!  The lady from the library told me that she would extend my card until November 1 so i could use it and it would give me time to come in.  I was glad to get that done.  It used to be you had to renew it every year.  Now it's two years, so I won't have to worry about this until 2020!

While I was downtown, I went by the post office.  Good thing I did.  My box was stuffed!  I had eight pen pal letters! Yikes! LOL!  I thought I had about four, I was not expecting eight.  I also had an ad or two.  I got all that and then swung by McDonald's.  I had a game piece for a free snack sized McFlurry.  Yummy!  I got that and came home.

I walked today and afterwards, I ran to get my car inspected.  I, for some reason, thought my inspection was in February.  That was my old car from eight years ago! LOL!  I looked in my journal at the beginning of February this year and didn't see anything about inspection.  I got out last's years journal and there is was, in October. Oops! LOL!  The place I usually go only does cash for inspections. No checks/credit.  I went to another place I've been before and asked if he had time to do one and if they took credit cards.  He said yes to both so I was able to get it done.  I felt bad going at the end of the month.  I am not one to wait until the last minute!  I was so glad to get that done and not have to worry about it.  One less worry on me is a good thing!
