What the Junk?!

It's the first day of September and it's starting off okay. It was cooler today so that was nice.  I had to run out and pick up a package for a friend and I needed to pick up my prescription.  I did that and then I headed to Starbucks!  I got myself a nice latte and then went and captured two Munzees and deployed one.  I headed back in after that.  My friend came after work to pick up his package and brought some KFC to share. Yum!  I even got to keep the leftovers. Score! :p

It was tasty if a bit too sweet. (My fault entirely!) I wish they'd bring back the Maple pecan latte! I want one!  

So, it was cooler here today.  I actually wore my jacket at the beginning of my walk.  I didn't have to keep it on very long though.  I got in a good walk and came home.  It was cool in my house.  I'm considering taking the air conditioner out of the window, but I'm a bit afraid to.  It could get hot again.  Our weather is so weird.  I'll probably just keep it in a little longer although I really want to just take it out!  It's dark here now, so I wouldn't do it tonight.  It would be hard to see and I don't want to trap any spiders or anything in there when I shut it up for the season.

I went under my house today and looked to see if the water had gone down. It went down a lot, but it's still too deep for me to light the pilot light on my water heater.  Hopefully by Sunday I can do it.  I went down in flip flops since I knew I'd be in standing water. It came up above my ankles and it was COLD. Brrrr!  I came in, rinsed off my feet, dried them, and put on fuzzy socks. :p

I  checked my email and saw that I had a few pen pal letters at the post office, so I thought I'd run down there and check my box.  It was pretty full.   I had three pen pal letters, a catalog, a bank statement, and some advertisements.  Afterwards, I ran by Starbucks and went through the drive thru and got a latte.  I got another Maple pecan latte.  I like them, but I still don't like them as much as my cascara latte. I should have gotten one of both.  It was bogof today.  I could have put the extra in one of my tumblers and it would have been okay for a few hours.  I know when I used to go and stay at Starbucks for hours, I would get a drink in one of my insulated tumblers and it was hot or at least nice and warm the whole time I was in there.  

Last week before the hurricane /tropical storm came through I had to run the air conditioning.  Tonight, I'm sitting here in a hoodie!  I like the cooler weather, but I don't care for cold weather.   Why can't it get cooler gradually instead of just getting cold all at once. Bleah!

It was dreary and overcast when I got up today.  It was supposed to rain when I would be walking, so I decided to skip.  We don't need any more rain for sure!  It was also pretty chilly!  I went to my friend's house. It was her birthday.  I went with her and her son to pick up food.  When we went back to her house, we walked over to her mom's and they had cupcakes. Yay!  I had a cupcake and it was delicious.  After that, my friend and I went to Starbucks.  She had a free birthday drink so she was going to get that.  I got a maple pecan latte. I had forgotten how good they were.  

After we got back, I came home and decided to get my walk in.  It was overcast, but it wasn't raining.  I got in my walk.  It was weird to go at a different time, but it was nice, too.  I was glad to get it in.  I think the weather is supposed to be okay tomorrow so I won't have to worry about rain.  

Speaking of rain, my basement is flooded.  I noticed when I washed dishes yesterday that the water in my sink didn't get hot.  I knew that meant that all the rain we had flooded the basement.  I decided to go down this evening right before dark to get it back on.  Nope! It was higher than I've ever seen it.  It was still higher than where the flame is, so there is no way I could have lit it.  I'll have to wait until it goes down. I've seen it several inches down there before, but this was a lot more than that.  There are cement steps going down into the basement.  The bottom step had water up to it's top.  

I always wash my hair on Sunday since it's bed linen day.  That way my hair and bed linen are both clean. :p . Unfortunately, I din't have any hot water for washing. I had to wash my hair in cold water. BRRR!  It wasn't as bad as it could be.  I got it done and was glad to have it done and over with.  Hopefully the water will go down in the basement quickly and I'll be able to get the pilot light lit. I'd like to take a hot bath!

Yes, it's been one of those days! This morning, I'm doing my usual routine.  I get up, have coffee, and then relax in  bed with my phone until breakfast.  A bit before time for breakfast, my phone rings.  My bff's son has lost his keys and needs to get in the house.  I have a spare key to their house for when they go out of town and emergencies like this!  I get up, get dressed, and walk up there.  I did get to see Cocoa, one of the two little pups I was keeping this weekend.  I wasn't there five minutes and his grandma came home. (She lives next door.) So, I talk to her a bit and head home.  Her dog is the other one I kept this weekend!

So I go home and have more coffee. :P  I then did my regular routine.  I did my workouts, I had lunch, and I relaxed a bit.  Bff's son calls again. lol  He wants to go get a journal to begin bullet journaling.  He was going to start before, but the journal he got the first time had thin pages and it bled, a lot.  I helped him get one like my first one.  It's an art sketch book, so the pages are really thick and nice. We did that and then we went to Starbucks. LOL!  Yes, I had Starbucks.  With me not being able to drive my car and not knowing when I'll be able to get there, I wasn't going to pass up that opportunity! :P I got a Maple pecan latte.  Yum!

I didn't walk today, but I hope to be able to tomorrow.  I need to get back into the habit.  I will enjoy getting out and I'll definitely enjoy losing weight!
