What the Junk?!

I went over to Starbucks to get my birthday drink. As I'm leaving the drive-thru, my friend texts me.  I had been re-considering doing a thrifting trip today. I decided to go for it! We went to Reidsville, Walkertown, and Mayodan. I got a vintage General Electric tape recorder! :)  I also two two Starbucks tumblers. One a sparkly hot or cold tumbler and one a venti cold cup.  I was happy to find these as they were in wonderful condition.  I also found a Kate Spade handbag! @_@; I'm not sure it's genuine, but I think it is, I'll have to research tomorrow. It looks just like a real one I found via a search. It's not really my style bag, but it was a Kate Spade! :p

Other things I got were a bag of scrunchies, an 'art' kit, a container with some various markers, a glittery jack o lantern, 2 pairs of fuzzy socks and one pair of striped knee-high socks (all new), an adulting note pad, and a pack of inserts for a Happy Planner. Oh, also two sets with a pen and a pad of matching notes.  Not a bad haul.  Here are the cups:

I thought my friend and I were going thrifting today.  We talked about it yesterday, but it didn't come to pass. Boo! I did run down to the grocery store to pick up a few things I needed. I wanted to get myself a little cake for my birthday tomorrow, but they were all out of birthday cakes! Phooey!  I got a six-pack of cupcakes instead.  Pink and yellow ones.  They are delicious as I had one early! :p  A funny thing happened when I was in the store. I went down the cereal aisle and there are several kinds of bagged granola there. I love granola and it hit me that I had bought two bags on my last trip. Then, I was going over in my mind, well, did I buy them? Did I get home with them? Where the heck are they! So when I got home, I looked and they were in the cabinet! lol I would have found them eventually, but it was funny because I had forgotten all about them!

My little Goontz hit 100,000 miles today! :( Poor fella!  I took pictures of the odometer at 99,999 and at 10o,000! I plan to stay in tomorrow except for running to Starbucks to get my free birthday drink. It's only available on the day of your birthday. I hope to run over and get that, but I might just skip leaving the house altogether and just spend a quiet day at home. My plan is to just relax and do whatever I want, so going out may not happen!

What did I do to celebrate?  I went to mail back my old phone.  I checked my box and had some letters.  I washed my car because it needed it and I was too lazy to do it at home! I left there and went to Starbucks.  I got my birthday drink.  I sipped on it and went to the park to sit by my favorite tree for a bit. I hung out in the park a bit and then went and got gas for my car.  I filled it up / topped it off and it was only $8 so that was nice.  I did take some pictures.  Two in the post office and one of the darkening sky when I was sitting in the park.

I thought it was going to rain, but it never did. The sky was pretty though!  My friend texted me from work and said he was bringing by a hoagie from a local place.  Steak and cheese. It was delicious!  It was a good birthday lunch.  What's for dinner?  My favorite, hash brown casserole! :D. Yum.  That is too delicious meals today.  The Starbucks was pretty darn good, too! :p

Yeah, I actually had a pretty decent day today!  My friend that bailed on my birthday, made up for it today!  She, her hubby, and myself went to Greensboro, North Carolina.  I had a free meal at P.F. Chang's.  It was buy an entree, and get one free.  I asked my friend and her husband if they wanted to go, and they did!  I got a delicious meal of chicken lo mein. It's my favorite thing to order there.  

My friend and I went to Ulta so I could get my free birthday gift.  It was a eye shadow palette valued at $18!  I don't really wear makeup, but if I do, these are my colors, so that is good.  Hubby went to Sur la Table.  We all met back up and went to Battleground avenue.  We went to a Starbucks there.  I'd never been to this particular Starbucks, so that was pretty cool!  The baristas were really nice and friendly, I got a cascara latte, of course!  I was in a star dash, I needed to buy a latte, a frappuccino, and a tea to get 150 stars.  I don't drink tea at all, so that was going to be a problem.  I asked my friends if they would like one or the other.  My friend wanted a frappuccino and her husband wanted tea. I got them to put the money on my card and buy them with that.  I was able to complete the star dash. YAY!  I was happy.  I got a delicious drink, extra stars, and I got to put a new Starbucks location in my tracker. ^_^

We left Greensboro and then came back to town.  Her son wanted to go get something to eat and wash his car, so she and I rode with him to do that. I visited for a while when we got back and then I came home. I did my stretches and now I'm just catching up on my blog and relaxing.  I'm going to crash before too much longer.  It was a good day, but it was also a long one and I'm tired.  Oh! I got to try cotton candy grapes today.  They are AMAZING. Sooooooooooooo good!

Yes, it's my birthday.  My bestie texted me to come up really quick before she left!  Rude. Made plans out of town on my birthday.  I went up there and I got a gift card to Food Lion (grocery store), a gift card for Starbucks, and a Starbucks tote bag. ^_____^ I actually got what I asked for this year! Her mom gave me $20, too!

I went to the grocery store and got some much needed things.  I also went to Dollar Tree and got some stickers, some cute arrow shaped paper clips, a pen, and some popcorn kernels.  It was so hot I was afraid they'd pop on the way home!  I was right there near Starbucks so I went to the drive thru and got a Cascara latte.  I had a free drink on my card from a recent star dash so that was nice. 

I went by the post office before coming home and had three letters.  Two from newer pen pals that look to be good ones, and one from my favorite pen pal.  She sent some goodies. ^_^  I was glad I went by there. I hadn't planned to, but when I left Starbucks, I was coming back across this one bridge.  The traffic was such that I couldn't get in the lane to head towards home.  Since I was headed in the direction of the post office, I just decided to run down there and check my box. Yay!

So, now I'm home in my room with the air conditioner and the fan running.  My bed linen is in the dryer waiting for me to go and get it and put it back on the bed.  I just need to wash my hair and do my workouts and then I'm calling it a day.  OH!  When I was at the grocery store, I restocked several cans of the One Touch Latte stuff.  It's so good!  With plenty of that, I am hoping I can hold off until the end of the week to go back to Starbucks. I have my birthday gift card already transferred to my Gold card.

Oh! Here is a picture of the cool Starbucks tote bag.  I asked my bestie for this earlier this month and I actually got it!  The gift card was a really nice bonus.  Even better, it 's one I didn't already have in my collection! Yay!
