Sunday and Starbucks!

I went out this afternoon and went by Starbucks and treated myself to a latte and a sandwich!  I got a vanilla latte with caramel and a double-smoked bacon sandwich. Delicious!  I also washed my car while out. It has rained the past few days and I noticed mud on my car.  It was from where it rained so hard that it splashed on the car.  I decided while out to wash it.  I could have brought it back here, but I went by the car wash that has the 'all washes $5' and they were fixed and running!

I didn't do anything else while out.  I ate my sandwich near the Starbucks and then headed to the car wash.  I sipped on my coffee and still had a little when I got home which I enjoyed in the car while watching my resident groundhog.  The little cutie came out from one of my outbuildings.  He tried to climb a little tree out there and fell off.  Poor guy!  He was okay, though.  He is such a cutie!

I went in the house and got the trash together and carried it to the can. I put it on the street for the trash trucks tomorrow.  I also noticed some branches down and carried them to the street too.  The grass needs mowing again, but it's still wet, so I'll have to wait until at least tomorrow for that.  I came in and put away the laundry I washed yesterday, tossed the bed linen in the dryer, washed my hair, and then sat down for a bit.  I got a lot accomplished.  I might read some, I'm not sure. I finally finished my current read.  I started in early last month!  I didn't pick it up as much as other reads, so it took me a long time to finish.  I am probably going with a zombie or post-apocalyptic book next.  I usually devour those pretty darn quickly!

OH! I forgot to mention that yesterday when I went to Reidsville, I set off a 'blast' on Munzee. It is the one that will capture up to 50 virtual Munzees that are in the area of up to a mile (or a bit over, I forget). Anyway! I did it and I got 50 virtuals.  Cool!  I was going to go around and deploy some physical munzees today, but I wanted to give everything a chance to dry out a little more!

So sorry!

I have been guilty of not posting.  I finally was able to get the title to my car yesterday.  Sadly the DMVs around here are appointment only and the first available one is August 21st! Sheesh!  There are some DMV select locations that take walk-ins but they are about an hour away.  I wouldn't really trust my old car to make it!  My friend has already taken time off work too much, so I can't ask him to do it again.  I'm hoping something changes so I can get my car registered and tagged.  I really want to drive it.  Mine is acting up as usual and it's so frustrating!

I had to get a few gallons of gas in the old car tonight just in case I needed to go anywhere and it was looking pretty ominous out there.  I stayed out a bit and then as I was headed back, the bottom fell out.  It was pouring rain, lightning, and thunder, and it was NUTS!  I had a horrible time trying to get home because I couldn't see anything. I finally made it to where I turn off the main road to go into the neighborhood when something exploded!  I finally got into the neighborhood and home but the entire block was without power and it was out for a while, too!  Luckily it came back before I got hot from lack of air.  I fixed some dinner and now I'm just going to relax until bedtime!  Here are a few pictures of the sky I took before the storm hit in force.

Apparently power was out all over the city in various places.  That was a wild storm!

A big oops!

I didn't post for two days.  I totally meant to post yesterday to make up for not posting on Tuesday and then I realized it was two minutes to midnight and it wasn't going to happen!  I'll post now though.  I received my latest Starbucks find in the mail.  This is the second time I had to order it.  The first one from another seller never came.  I couldn't put in a claim on it because with informed delivery, I thought it was here.  It wasn't. It was something else and I had already canceled my "I didn't get it claim" So, I found one from another seller and bought it.  This is the card in  question:

It's a nice one and I was happy to add it to my collection. The lovely seller sent a couple of extra cards because they didn't mail it out the same day.  Pretty cool, yet?  I have both of the extra ones, but only one of each so it will be nice to have the backups.

As for life, I haven't really done anything exciting. Life has been boring since the beach.  So, so boring. Ahhhh.

Hello again!

Sorry about not posting for the last two days.  On Wednesday, I walked, but I got blisters.  This was unusual.  I was not happy about that.  That evening, I fully intended to post to my blog and I got to doing other things I forgot.  I did a puzzle that day and wanted to share it.  I'll share it today.

First though, let's talk about yesterday.  I didn't walk.  I woke up feeling pretty bleah and out of sorts.  I decided I'd walk later in the day.  I took a nap, and relaxed.  I didn't feel like doing much.  My friend texted me and asked if I wanted to try one of the restaurants here in town we've wanted to try but have't yet.  I said, yes!  It's a local Italian restaurant. It was delicious.  I got Fettuccini Alfredo. OMG it was so good.  They serve it with a bread roll and Foccia bread.   Yummy!  I enjoyed it a lot.  Definitely a place to go back to!

When we got back to my house, my friend put some stuff in my car to see if it would help it run a little better. We drove around a bit to see if it helped.  It didn't. lol Oh well! After he left, I got in my mail and saw that I had a sample of dog treats.  I got them to give to my friend's dog.  I went up to their house and treats were passed out all around. lol . I stayed awhile and then headed home.  I didn't start my next puzzle because it was late.  I decided to wait until today.  I worked the whole thing. lol  Here is the one from two days ago and today's:

These were both from the box of 6.  The first was 300 pieces and the second was 500.  I'll probably do the last puzzle in the box tomorrow (or at least start it).  I also decided to put some of my Adventure Time stickers to good use.  I put them on the MacBook Pro.  I laid them out and figured out the design before sticking them on.  I wanted to put on Marcy and PB too, but I didn't have room.  I like the way the ones I put on look.  Here is that:

LSP, Peppermint Butler, Finn & Jake, BMO, Gunter, and Ice King. ^_^  I love it!  Also, as an added bonus, you can see my bujo in this picture. :p Oh! I walked today and everything was okay with my poor feet. :p

Lame Library?!

Please tell me why I can get ebooks and audiobooks online through my local library, but I can't renew my library card online.  What is this, 1995?!  LOL . I had to go down to the library today to renew my card.  It took all of 2 minutes. Why they can't do it online is beyond me.  Oh well!  It actually expired recently and I went to put a book on hold on Overdrive and it said the card was expired and I'd have to go to the library.  I didn't want to have to go all the way down there, so I asked online if it could be done online.  Sadly, no!  The lady from the library told me that she would extend my card until November 1 so i could use it and it would give me time to come in.  I was glad to get that done.  It used to be you had to renew it every year.  Now it's two years, so I won't have to worry about this until 2020!

While I was downtown, I went by the post office.  Good thing I did.  My box was stuffed!  I had eight pen pal letters! Yikes! LOL!  I thought I had about four, I was not expecting eight.  I also had an ad or two.  I got all that and then swung by McDonald's.  I had a game piece for a free snack sized McFlurry.  Yummy!  I got that and came home.

I walked today and afterwards, I ran to get my car inspected.  I, for some reason, thought my inspection was in February.  That was my old car from eight years ago! LOL!  I looked in my journal at the beginning of February this year and didn't see anything about inspection.  I got out last's years journal and there is was, in October. Oops! LOL!  The place I usually go only does cash for inspections. No checks/credit.  I went to another place I've been before and asked if he had time to do one and if they took credit cards.  He said yes to both so I was able to get it done.  I felt bad going at the end of the month.  I am not one to wait until the last minute!  I was so glad to get that done and not have to worry about it.  One less worry on me is a good thing!

Oh boy....

I should have checked my bank balance before going out tonight.  I went to Hobby Lobby to get one thing.  Some pages for my small 365 planner.  They only have a limited selection of the small planner stuff.  I got one thing of that.  Unfortunately, I had to see a bunch of other things. ^^;  I found a lot of marked down washi!  I found two two packs that were $1.24 each.  I got those, I also saw a pack of five or six of the micro mini washi for the same price.  I got those too. I also found a huge $20 tube of washi marked down to $5.  I got that too. I got a few other little things.  I found some mark down stickers, some little mini notebooks for .74!  I also found some traveler's notebook refills.  I shouldn't have gotten all that stuff.  Oh well, too late now. ^^;
