What the Junk?!

My laptop bag came today and although it's lovely and sturdy, it's not wide enough.  If I have my laptop in it alone, it's fine, but if I add my charger and Anything else, it's bulky and looks bad. I decided that I would look around town for something else. I found a few options on clearance on the Office Max website. I was debating on two.  I decided to go over and see what I could find.  The one I had looked at that I thought I was going to get was way too small. It was marked as a lot bigger on the website.  It took forever for me to find it, too since I was looking for a bigger bag.  I saw another bag that I REALLY liked while looking for that one.  It was a bit more than the one I had been there to look at, and a few dollars more than the other one I had looked at, but it was perfect. It's grey and aqua and aqua is my color!  It has several zipper pockets.  The other bag had one on the outside and the inside had the laptop pocket on one side and two little pockets on the other.  Not great for organization. 

The new bag has a big section with the padded laptop 'sleeve' area.  There is a zipper pocket in front of that with some organizer parts and the front has a slip pocket and a small zipper pocket. It also has two pockets on either side for a water bottle or coffee tumbler. :p It's very sturdy and I love it.  It has a top handle which is a feature I love on backpacks and it's a sturdy handle, too.  I really like this bag.  I can load up everything I need to go to Starbucks! :p Or the beach, or wherever.  I did think to take a picture of it in my car when I came out of Office Max. I knew I would probably be later getting home and wanted a picture in natural light.  Here is that picture:

I love it!  Now, after I got that, I went to grab some lunch since it was way past my lunchtime.  I got a burger and ate in my car.  I headed home and as SOON as I pulled down my street to pull into my driveway, I got a text message from Munzee.  Their system has been down ALL day.  There was a special Munzee that I had wanted to try and cap but Munzee was completely 'broken' all day. Of course, the minute I get home, it is up! I figured that the special Munzee would be gone, but I checked the app.  It was going to be there for another hour.  I backed up and went right back out and got it! lol. I got one more that I hadn't gotten on that side of town and headed home.  That completed my Zeeops mission for today, too!  I was quite happy that the special was still there. I just knew it was going to be gone by the time it came back up.  I just checked and I got a badge for catching it.  The "Over The Rainbow" badge.  I LOVE the Wizard of Oz, so that made me doubly happy. :)

Boy was it hot on today's walk! I swear it was a lot hotter than yesterday.  I made it home and had to cool off a while before I could do my workouts.  I got those in and my French lesson.  I need to do today's squat challenge.  After lunch, I went to the bank on a quick errand.  I didn't stay out because my car is still acting up badly.  I was able to make it there and back, so that was good.  They are re-paving the streets around the bank (and along my walking route) and it's a big mess!  I will be glad when they are done with that.  I think they might get it done quicker if everyone was working.  I'll see one or two guys actually working and five or six standing os sitting watching.  Really?  It's so annoying.  

Right now, I'm getting my blog post in so I'm not rushing later to do it.  I am also watching Homicide Hunter.  I am thinking of working on my pen pal letters tonight although I'm not sure.  As long as i get them all written by the weekend like I said before, I should be good.  I don't want to get behind again!  All the letters I got yesterday are from regular pals except one.  I got a letter from a potential new one! I sent her full friendship book back and she wants to be pals. Yay!

I'm still listening to the Oz books on my walk.  They are so good. I love these series.  I am not sure what I'm going to listen to after these are done. I'll search Librivox and see what else I can find.  I think at one time, I got Dracula on there.  I'd like to listen to that again.  They also used to have, and may still have, A Houseboat on the River Styx.  That one is excellent.  It's been a long time since I listened to or read it.  I'll have to look that up!

So, I'm posting early today so I don't do like I did last night!  I walked further today on my walk since I needed to go to the post office.  I picked up my piece of mail. It was a pen pal letter that needed postage.  They considered it a package and not a letter because it felt like it was too thick to be just a letter.  It  WAS just a letter.  UGH.  I paid the $2.50 to get it and I also got five international stamps.  I then headed on my way back home.  I didn't do my workouts when I got here as I was extremely hot and very tired.  I'll either do them later tonight or I may skip them today.  Why?  Well, I am going for another walk later, so I might not get a chance to do them.  I am not sure exactly when we are going to walk, but we will sometime.

I got my replacement piece for my Fitbit Charge 2 today.  I charged the battery to full and I'm wearing it now.  I already have a good feeling about this one. It's going to count steps, distance, and everything else correctly!  It charged easily and it's syncing well, too.  I'm quite pleased.  I will see how it tracks on tonights walk and tomorrow's too.  My usual daily walk is the best test for it.

When I went to the post office, luckily, the nice lady was working.  There is a guy that works the counter sometimes and I DO NOT like him.  I was so happy to see her and not him.  He is a pain in the butt and acts like an ass!  The lady that waited on me today is always sweet as she can be.  Her name is Queen and she is certainly as nice as one!  I also had to stop to get my prescription.  The guy at the pharmacy kept putting my birthdate in wrong and he was cracking us both up.  He tried to put in that I was born in the twenties at one point! LOL!  It was hilarious.  I got my script and headed home.  It was the first good experience I've had at this pharmacy since having to switch to it after Kmart closed.

I am not sure when my friend will come for us to walk.  I hope it's not too long.  I have to put my socks and shoes on.  I also have to put my bra back on and I'm not doing that until I absolutely have to! LOL!  I finished the first Oz book on my walk today and I'm just getting started on the second one.  The second one has Jack Pumpkinhead in it so I'm quite happy! ^_^

On today's walk, I finished the Anne books.  I love that series so much.  I wish Lucy Maud Montgomery had written more books in the series or at least a follow up about ten years after Rilla of Ingleside.  Oh well.  I enjoyed listening to them again.  Tomorrow, I start on the wonderful Oz books!  I downloaded all the official L. Frank Baum ones from Librovox.org and I will start with The Wonderful Wizard of Oz tomorrow. I only loaded the first 8 or so.  I'll load the rest after listening to the first four or five.  This should keep me going for a while!  I love all the characters in the Oz books.  My favorites being The Woozy, Jack Pumpkinhead, Scraps, and more. ^___^ I'll be visiting old friends.

My walk today was perfectly great weather wise.  It didn't rain at all.  Yay! It did rain later in the afternoon, but it wasn't for very long.  I got everything done on my regular schedule today.  I have been using my coffee grinder each time I make a cup of coffee.  I finally got the right combo of how much to use and which way to grind it.  It's so delicious and it smells so good when and after I grind it!  

My replacement for my Fitbit was supposed to be delivered tomorrow, and now it's saying Tuesday! :(  I really wish it would get here. I'm hoping it tracks steps better.  I've noticed that this one is doing a little better, but it's still not as accurate ss it should be.  It tracks heart rate, and sometimes it says I don't have any! LOL  I'll look at it and says, "My Fitbit thinks I'm dead!" lol  I am hoping that all the kinks will be worked out in the new one they send.  

I ordered a charger for my Macbook on Thursday but they haven't shipped it yet. Phooey!  I also ordered one other band for my Fitbit.  It's pink and teal.  I love the look of it on Amazon.  I hope it's as pretty in person!  I will probably order more bands in the future. I wanted this one from the first time I saw it.  It has a different clasp than all the others, so I'll have to get used to that.  I wish it and my charger would ship!
