What the Junk?!

So, today, when I woke up, I picked up the iPad and refreshed my tracking app as I have been doing for days. It actually updated. Whaaat?"  It says it Arrived at the USPS Regional facility! WOO HOO I said and then looked at where it was.  Jacksonville, Florida. What, what? LOL! It was in Wisconsin, went to Illinois, was stuck in limbo for a week to end up in Florida? Keep in mind, I live in Virginia!  Crazy, crazy! So, at a bit, after 11 am, it updated again and it's left Florida.  I hope the next stop is Roanoke VA. All mail and packages usually got through there first and then get here.  It was so good to see an actual update for it as I was about to give up hope of ever seeing it!  Now, I just have to wait longer.  It's agonizing. Ah! So, hopefully, I'll get it this week!  

I did my usual Sunday chores today and I'm now finished. My bed linen is already back on the bed too! All I have to do after I get off the computer for the night is just pop in my bed with the fresh, clean, bed linen. bliss!  I wrote a good portion today, too. I am going to watch a few Peanuts things on Apple TV and then crash.  I watched the new Peanuts special on there last night and it was cute, but they didn't include Rerun! I thought that was odd.  I guess they were basing it on earlier Peanuts strips before Rerun was born.  At least Spike and Snoopy's other siblings were in it. :)

So, I got in my regular walk today. I stopped at CVS and got a book of stamps before heading home.  I didn't do my workouts after I got home as usual.  Instead, I went to the grocery store.  I spent more than I planned, but I got a lot of goodies.  I came home and put those away.  My friend wanted to eat and walk again!  I was surprised because he was pretty tired last night. :p

We rode to Eden NC to a trail over there.  First we ate at a little pizza place called Stella's pizza. It was quite good.  They are really just take out/delivery, but they had one booth inside and we ate in.  It was some damn good pizza!  After that, we headed to Goodwill so we wouldn't miss it before they closed.  I found a brand new pack of Staedler colored pencils for .49!  I also found a restaurant notebook, some assorted stationery, and a few other things.  The notebook is cool. You can keep track of restaurants you visit.  The stationery was some envelopes, some cute little cards and various other things.  Perfect for a pen pal person!  I also found a Fossil brand black leather purse. It's so nice and I paid a whole 1.49 for it! Yes, ONE DOLLAR and forty nine cents! WHOO!  I love a good bargain.  I also got a vintage candle trimmer thing.  You use it on the bottom of a candle so it will fit in a candle holder.  I also got a nice new wallet with the $35 price tag still on it for $2.  And, I found a Weight Watchers kit.  It's got two books on the point system and a little journal.  It's pretty cool.  Those things are really expensive brand new and I didn't have to join WW! LOL

All in all, it was a good trip to Goodwill.  After that, we went to the trail.  Almost this time last year, a tornado went through that trail and there was a lot of damage to trees.  They have a plaque about it.  The trail was re-directed at one point from the original trail!  We got through walking and headed back.

I got home and did my workouts. It was stretch day and it felt so good to stretch!  I am now going to relax until bed time as I'm extremely tired.  I need to catch up my receipts from today in my checkbook and see how much damage I did! :P  OH! I also received in the mail today my very first coffee grinder.  I got some whole bean coffee at the grocery store.  I am still working on making the perfect cup.  I made my first cup tonight and it was pretty good, but I want to experiment and see what I can come up with.  The grinder is easy to use and makes the kitchen smell good!

It took me a LONG time to do my workouts today.  Not because there were a lot of them, or that they were long, just that the internet and YouTube were being bitchy!  I got my first two done and was going to do the third before eating.  YouTube was acting up and so was my internet.  I gave up and went and ate lunch.  Then I got the internet back.  YouTube was still not loading anything.  I finally got one of the videos to load after an hour.  I then worked a bit and got another one.  I finally got the last one loaded and did that one.  I was so glad to be done. I hate having internet issues.  I'm almost glad that the HIIT routine is tomorrow because I don't have to rely on the 'net for it. lol

I got a good walk in too.  It was nice out there and I enjoyed the day.  I wish it could stay nice like this all year. On today's walk, I stopped at the post office downtown to get some of the Peanuts stamps that are out this year.  The line was about six deep.  The first lady took a while, but then left.  The second lady in line needed stamps.  She wanted to pick out which stamps she wanted.  All 100 of them.  There were three or four people in line behind me at that point.  I got frustrated and left!  I would have been there all day if I had stayed.  I just stopped at CVS on the way home and got generic stamps. lol  I still would like some of the Peanuts ones, but I might just order them online. It's almost time for dinner, so I have to decide what I want to eat.  After eating, I'm going to crash and relax for the rest of the evening.  I need a quiet night!

I got in my walk today and did today's stretches.  It was nice to have the 'rest'. I called a friend to see if she wanted to go to the Peanuts movie.  She did, so we did.  

I've loved Peanuts since I was a wee little one.  The movie was pretty good.  I wasn't sure I'd like the CG since it's always been hand drawn, but it was actually nice.  I love that they played homage to some of the Peanuts specials over the years and the strips themselves.  Do you catch the name of the name of the moving company on the moving van? :) The only thing I think would have made it better was if they had Rerun in it.  He should have been included.  I like the scene in the after movie shots with Snoopy and his siblings.  I've always had a soft spot for Spike.  If you like Peanuts, go see the movie.  It was fun.
