What the Junk?!

My friend and I went out of town to one of our favorite restaurants. They have great pizza. I got a small one while in the restaurant. Their small is pretty much a bit larger than a personal pizza so easy to eat in one go.  He got baked spaghetti which also looked great.  He even went back and ordered us both a small pizza to go. :) Now I have lunch and dinner tomorrow. Yay! We also went to the Goodwill there. I got a few small things there. :)

Before we went, I got my daily NaNoWriMo writing done. I am at 18,686 words! :) Tomorrow I am participating in the weekly write-in, so that will be fun. I like doing those. It's fun to participate in a virtual write-in!

I am glad I posted early yesterday because I wouldn't have had time last night! Why? Well, my friend and I did our Friday thrift trip, but with a twist! At the second to last Goodwill, we looked to see if there was Goodwill in the city we weren't far from. There was, so we decided to go. We found a new one. Well, new to us. We headed from there to the last Goodwill we go to on this trip and drove past another. We turned back and went to that one too. So, we went to five Goodwill stores on this trip.  The 'new' stores were a nice change. I might do a list of items tomorrow. For now, I'm going to relax a bit. I also want to tune in a bit early on the Shortwave as there are more broadcasts to find on Saturday.

Did I write today for NaNoWriMo? Yes, indeed! I went over the 10,000 mark today, too! You know what that means, I treat myself to a pizza. It won't be tonight, but I will do it in the next few days. I thought about going out tonight to Starbucks, but I just don't feel like leaving the house. 

Well, after a lot of debate, I decided on my pizza today.  I picked Pizza Hut as they said they have curbside at my local restaurant. I ordered and went to pick it up at the required time. I checked in and waited, and waited, and waited, and waited. I finally just gave up and went in thinking maybe it was ready yet. It was ready and just sitting there. ~_~: I got it and took it home. It was supposed to be great. Stuffed crust, pepperoni, etc.  They put enough sauce on it to drown a cow.  The best part of the entire pizza was the stuffed crust. I am going to have to force myself to eat any more of it later. It was that bad.  I might just cut the crust off and eat that. I HATE to waste food, but I already feel sick from eating that. UGH So much for my reward pizza. :( 

I might have gotten pizza today, but my friend and I went to eat out. We went to two Goodwills afterward. I got two Ziploc bags of crafting supplies and one Ziploc of jewelry-making supplies.  I also got a ceramic cauldron, a pink ceramic Eiffel Tower statue, a blanket, and a wireless charging pad for my phone. Not a bad haul.  My friend found the blanket knowing I'd been looking for new ones. He got that for me. It's nice and it's pretty new looking.  I will save it for a backup. It's good to have it.  It's the kind I like too.

I did write today and actually got a good deal done. A bit over 1800 words. I'm on a roll! I will pick up tomorrow where I left off on this and go on.  I left it in mid-scene as I'm trying to pace myself. This will make tomorrow easy as I can just pick up where i left off. :) I just went through tmy thrift receipt and It's not adding up. I either forgot a few things I bought, so I got overcharged. I'm leaning towards I forgot something as I put the things away when I got home. The jewelry stuff when with other jewelry stuff I have, etc.  I'm still in the dark about two items. Ugh! I hate the fact that I just bought this stuff not long ago and already have forgotten. D'oh!

Yes, I did it, I got to the 10,000 mark with today's writing. That usually means I treat myself to a pizza. I didn't get one today, but I will get one in the next day or so. I did go out for a few errands. I was driving past Starbucks and saw ONE car in the drive-thru. This is very unusual as they are usually lined waaay back. I made a split-second decision that I needed some Starbucks today! I got my Starbucks, got one more errand done, and headed home. Day complete. :p

I almost forgot to post today. I got my NaNoWriMo writing done quite early and I did hit 10,000 words! Pizza was ordered and picked up.  It was decent, not as great as I was hoping, but I have half of it left for tomorrow and I have a free pizza too. Why? They didn't get it out in less than two minutes.  I'm not complaining one bit. Free pizza FTW!

I actually finished earlier this afternoon. I meant to post then and got distracted.  I have my two main characters in a situation at the moment. They have to work out how to get out of it tomorrow! :p  I have a few complications to toss their way, but they'll get out eventually!  Tomorrow wil also be when I hit 10,000 words. It's tradition now to buy myself a pizza when I hit 10,000 words and I hope that this year will be no exception. I just have to figure out where to get it.  I usually get Pizza Hut, but I don't want to go in and I don't want delivery. I'll probably go with Dominos since they have curbside pickup.  It works the best for me as I don't have to deal with anyone! I just say thanks as they hand me the pizza. Introverts dream! I'll let you know tomorrow if I do hit 10,000 words and what pizza I got! lol

My friend and I did not thrift today, it's been several weeks since we did our usual Friday thrift run. He had a package that he had delivered here today, so when he got off work, he stopped at KFC and got us both one of their chicken sandwiches and some fries. I love the chicken sandwich at KFC. I've now tried theirs, Bojangles, McDonald's, Hardee's, and Sonics.  KFC still rules as the best tasting to me.  I appreciated the treat for sure!  He ate and then got his package and headed out.  I had already written before he came in case he wanted to go thrift or do something.  It was nice to just relax.  

It's gotten cooler here lately and it was pretty darn cold last night. Today, I swtichend out my quilts. I have a summer quilt that is very lightweight that i use from Spring to early fall and a heavy weight quilt that I used from fall to spring. I am definitely going to need it!  Brr!  I have my heater ready to go, but I want to hold out as long as I can before I have to use it. I'm stubborn like that! :p

So far NaNoWriMo is going okay. I got 1759 words today. So far so good. I hope to have it a bit more interesting soon. So far it's boring, well at least I think so. It's probably not as bad as I think. We'll see!  I have a good story line to put in there. It's going the soon, I think. I'm trying to get 1700 words a day.  I started with a bit over that on day one and want to try to continue at that pace. I may write more of some days, I have before!

As for my pizza reward at 10,000 words? I still plan on that, but I have to decide if I want to get it from the same old place or somewhere new. I'll decide when I get there!  I am writing earlier in the afternoon and that seems to be working for me. I would like to get a few words in on my other story I've been writing on since right before last year's NaNoWriMo. I put it aside for a few days to get into my characters in the Z Event books.  I might add a few words to it tonight before I get off this computer for the night. 

My friend that helps me out so much asked for a favor last night.  He had a package coming today and thought it would be delivered before 9 am.  He asked if I would get up early so I'd be ready to go get it.  I agreed and I set my alarm for 8 am. I was up before it went off.  I have been so tired all day.  The package did come before 9 am.  I went and picked it up and brought it here.  I was so tempted to take a nap but I decided to hold off. Hopefully, I'll sleep well tonight.

My friend came to get his package and brought some pizza for us to share.  He also put some foam stuff on my air conditioner to hopefully make it work better and be cooler in my room. So far so good!  I am going to enjoy sleeping tonight!

Oh, remember I mentioned that I got a weather alert radio at Goodwill in Longs, SC on the way home?  Well, I turned on the alert feature today so check it out.  I found out that it does, in fact, work! It went off this afternoon and scared the poo out of me. LOL!  We had a pretty good thunderstorm.  It's cool that the radio alerted me before any of my phone apps.  I will be turning it off at night before bed though.  I'm a light sleeper and I don't want that thing going off and scaring me half to death and waking me up! LOL!

I went to bed right after midnight and I was able to sleep! I woke up several times during the night, but I fell back asleep each time. It was unbelievably nice to get to sleep like that.  I feel like an actual human today! :P

The hotel here has coffee pots but no coffee for them! AHHHHHHH I will have to go and get some ..soon... lol. The hotel we are going to has single serve coffee makers (if they still have the same ones as when we stayed before) so they should have coffee available.  I'm going to look on Google and see where the closest place is that I can get coffee.  The nearest Starbucks is quite a walk away.  There is a Dunkin closer.  I will decide what to do.  I need to eat something before I go out and I'm not ready to get dressed and go just yet.  I will though as this is the only day we'll be staying this close to the SkyWheel / Pavilion area.  I really want to go to a few storesup that way.  I will pass a Starbucks on the way and there is the Oceanfront one... Mmmmmm Starbucks... 

So, yeah, that is my day so far. LOL I have gotten some sleep and now it's just a time to decide what to do. I just checked and it's 82˚ here today.  Yikes! I think that since this is the day I'll be closest to the Pavilion, I'll go there today.  I just have to get myself up and going.  I know once I eat some leftover pizza and head out, I'll be good.  There are places I can get a snack on the way too, if I want.  Yes, I guess it's Pavilion today.  I'll try to take pictures to share later.

I got one of the puzzles out today to work. I decide on a puzzle with a pizza on it. I was working on it when my friend texted and said he'd bring by some pizza. LOL!  I now have almost a whole pizza for leftovers for a few days.  I only eight two pieces when I got it so I'd have lots for later.  I'm going to enjoy it, too!

I have been staying up way too late for the last several nights, so I'm going to try my best to get to bed early tonight.  I feel a bit off.  I feel like I might have a bit of a cold, but I also know it's probably just paranoia with everything going on right now.  I'm going to try to sleep it off. I have been using my hand sanitizer religiously and I've been very cautious on anywhere I've gone.  I know I'm just being paranoid, but a good long sleep sure won't hurt!

My reading is on a roll.  The only problem is, I'm staying up late to do it. I finished another book last night.  I looked up any apocalyptic fiction.  I was looking for zombie fiction, but I only found ones I've read or didn't look very interesting. I found another dystopian kind so I figured I'd give it a chance and borrowed the ebook.  I"ll be starting it when I finish this post!

I finished my puzzle today.  It was a fun puzzle to work.  It wasn't too hard even though it looked like it might be complicated in parts.  I will be sharing a picture of it here:

I've been 'watching' YouTube Reddit videos while working on my puzzle and doing other things. I'm mainly listening to most of them, but there are some you actually need to watch. (Facepalm, mildly irritating, etc) but the I don't work here, entitled parents, etc,  I can just listen. I have found a few other videos of other content I'm enjoying too.  One is TheWolfePit This guy buys cheap, Dollar Store items and tries them.  He also tries other weird stuff. It's pretty cool.  He cracks me up when he says he spit out whatever he was trying as soon as he bites into it. It's cool to see the products reviewed so I don't waste my money on something gross. I've actually tried one of the things he tried and didn't care for and it's something I have in my freezer right now. I actually like it.  To each his own. :)

I had some of my leftover pizza for lunch and saved the last two pieces for tomorrow's lunch. I could have eaten them for dinner, but I thought they'd make a great lunch for tomorrow and I had some other stuff I like, so it wasn't hard to save it.  It will be a nice treat tomorrow!  Speaking of tomorrow, my 'new' Fossil bag is coming.  I can't wait to see it. I hope it is scent free and I'm able to use it immediately.  Of course, I'll take pictures of it!

My friend texted today and asked if I wanted to go to a local restaurant.  We haven't been out to eat in a while, so I said, yes!  The place he wanted to go to was closed.  (Closed on Mondays) So, we decided to go to one of our favorite Italian places.  He got a sandwich and I got a small pizza all for myself. It was delicious and I have plenty of leftover pizza. Yum!

I started a new puzzle today and it's pretty cool.  I got quite a bit of it done. I did some before I left for the restaurant and I did some more when I got home.  It's going to be a fun one and I should finish it tomorrow.

I was a bit wary about it.  I figured something else would happen.  I was sitting at my desk with the window open(blinds not the window) while doing my writing for NaNo today.  I saw the mail person drive up the street and stop across from me and deliver their mail.  She then went on up the street.  She pulled down the street and pulled up in front of my house.  I went to look and sure enough, I got my package. She laid it at the edge of the porch in full site of anyone going by. ~_~; I'm glad I was here to get it.  I don't understand why anyone would do that.  At least come up on the porch.  I have places where you can hide a package.  I guess I should be happy to get it!  It was a 'TN starter kit" . I needed a new plastic zipper pocket for my new TN because the pocket I had was broken.  The zipper part didn't stay closed anymore.  I looked for one on Amazon and found this one in a set.  It was the clear zipper pocket, a nice kraft pocket, a pen loop, two extra connector bands, and a nice binder clip.  It's a nice set and it was a good deal.  It was only a few dollars more than the clear pocket by itself.  I can use the kraft pocket too and already have! It's in my TN.  Very nice deal.  

I got my writing done this afternoon and it was pretty good.  I am now a bit over 13,000 words.  Last night, I treated myself to my pizza!  It wasn't the one I usually get, but it was pretty good.  I looked for deals and saw that Dominos had a large pizza for $7.99.  I ordered that and went and picked it up.  I really shouldn't have as I'm so low on funds, but it's been a tradition and I didn't want to stop!  I have three slices left for tonight.  It was really thin.  It wasn't as good as the ones I usually get, but it was tasty, so that is okay.

Today, my friend texted me and said we'd go eat.  I said, whoo hoo! lol. He came and picked me up and I had no idea where we were going. I just knew it would be hilarious if we went and got pizza.  We didn't.  We went to Ham's.  I haven't been in a long time, so that was nice.  The only bad thing is they don't have my favorite sandwich anymore! BOOOO!  They had this sandwich called the "Big Island chicken sandwich."  It was delicious.  They don't have it on the menu anymore.  PHOOEY!  I got a bacon cheeseburger in its place.  It was a good burger, but I really wanted the other sandwich.  Oh well!

After that, he had a few errands to run so I rode with him.  He stopped and got himself a milkshake and then carried me to McDonald's and bought me a frappe.  Yum!  He offered to take me to Starbucks, but I didn't want to get out and go in.  It was raining and messy.  Plus, I'm sure they were busy as all the holiday stuff hit today and they had that promo for a free cup with purchase.  Last year they sold out very quickly and it turned into a big mess. I didn't even try last year, so I didn't bother this year either!

I had a horrible time trying to get to sleep last night.  It was starting to get light outside before I finally fell asleep!  It was not fun.  I woke up feeling horrible from lack of sleep.  I planned to take a nap in the afternoon.  I had my alarm set on my phone so I didn't sleep too long.  I finally had nodded off and my phone got a text. ~_~; Needless to say, I never got a nap.  Hopefully I can sleep tonight!

I started a new puzzle today and got quite a lot done.  I probably would have gotten more done, but the pieces are really small.  I will finish it up tomorrow.  My friend's  mom is in the nursing home and she is currently fighting pneumonia.  He was up there all day.  He texted me this evening and asked if I'd like to ride with him to get some dinner.  I said sure if he was up to leaving.  We went to one of our favorite local places.  We split a pizza.  I ate one slice and saved my other three for tomorrow.  My stomach was upset from being nervous and upset about his mom.  I didn't really want pizza. (SHOCKING! I know) . Oh well, it will be nice to have tomorrow for sure!
