What the Junk?!

Hello again! I'm currently on the balcony enjoying the day.  I have all my goodies out here with me.  I have been playing Pokemon Go for quite a while and having fun. Now, I'm just going to post a blog post and then get my writing for today done. I have written everyday, but it's not as much as I would like.  I took some pictures with my iPad mini to share just now and I will share a few pictures from my 'new' camera.

I was on the balcony late last night and flipped my chair around in case it rained.  I go to the balcony this morning and it's sunny and hot. There is still a forecast saying maybe some rain and thunderstorms today but as of now, it's sunny and HOT! I stayed out there a bit and then had to come in and cool off.  I couldn't see when I got back in the darkened room. :p I took one picture of the beach and one picture of my pigeon friends that came back for a visit. They were already there when I went out but I didn't see them because they were hiding behind my chair! :p

As you can see, I added a bonus Eevee shot. I was playing Pokemon Go on the balcony. There is a Pokestop nearby that I can hit.  I got my Eevee George out to play for a bit. :)

No, I didn't get the mower going, I didn't get the lawn mown either.  What did I do?  Well, I got my car registered and the tags transferred from the old car to the new car. Yay! My car is now street legal.  I was going to get a Virginia inspection sticker, (I have a NC inspection but they don't give stickers) but the place I go to was closed for the week. I have a backup place but by the time we got to the first place, the other would be closed. My friend got off early today and we drove an hour away to a DMV express location that took 'walk-ins'.  They did everything from inside, but I was able to get. my business taken care of. I'm so glad!  I, of course, had to take it out for a bit this evening.  So smooth!  I love it.

While I was out, I took it through the car wash and got some food.  I'm going to have to get used to the new interior.  My cup holder is not in the same place, my window buttons are in a different place too.  I love that it has the controls for the radio on the steering wheel!  I listened to my iPod while driving and that was fun. :)

I stopped by the park and my favorite tree and deployed a virtual Munzee. I also got a Pokestop while out.  I was going by the post office, but I figured that I could do that tomorrow when I went to get the inspection sticker.  I need to get a book of stamps, too!  I want to get my letters caught up.  I might even go to Starbucks and hit and the drive-thru. Who knows? :)

By the way, the DMV Express office that we went to is in a VERY rural area.  These are pictures from where we were in line.  We thought the GPS was tricking us. lol

I haven't been sleeping well lately and I just had to figure out what day it was. lol I was trying to decide if it were Wednesday or Thursday. :P . It's Thursday or at least my MacBookPro says so.  I'm glad it knows! 

I decided to make today and no walk day.  I stayed home and relaxed. I even took a nap.  Hopefully it won't mess me up for sleeping tonight.  I hope I'll sleep like a rock!  I did leave the house today.  It was day seven on a Pokemon streak.  I didn't want to miss today's, so I went to hit a Pokestop.  While I was out, I went to Roses and got some undies and sleepwear.  I needed both.  I hope I like the undies.  They had four pair for $5, not bad!  I always carry more pair of underwear to the beach than I would ever need. LOL . Hey, it's always good to be prepared. Also, I have been needing some sleep shorts for a while.  A lot of mine are starting to wear out.  Maybe I can find some more cheap at the beach.

One more week to go.  Ahhh!  We leave on Monday May 27.  I want to go NOW! :p . In other news, I started another one of my puzzles today.  It's so colorful and pretty.  I got the outline done and several of the plates of candy.  I will probably finish it tomorrow.  

I thought about going to Starbucks today, but then I thought about it.  I should save all the money I have on my card for the beach trip.  I can easily walk to a Starbucks every day if I want to!  I have money on the card and enough for two drinks or a tumbler or coffee.  Cool!  I hope to make it back to that ocean front one I found last trip. 

The place we are staying this time has two piers in close walking distance.  I hope to go out on at least one.  I'll probably go up on both, but I am not sure if i'll pay to go out on both.  We'll see when we get there. 

I went for my walk today. I checked the weather on my phone and it was supposed to be overcast, but not rain.  The app lied!  It was drizzly throughout most of my walk.  Enough so that I had to use my umbrella almost the entire walk. If that wasn't enough, towards the end of my walk, it started pouring down rain. Boo!  I was certainly glad to get home!

I went to the basement to try and get the pilot light lit.  Still no luck.  The water has gone down a lot more. I was afraid with the burst of rain today that it would be deeper, but it's not.  That part was okay. The cold water on my poor feet was not good!  I so wanted to soak my troubles away in a hot bath.  I'm tempted to rent a damn hotel room just to take a bath! LOL!

I have my bed linen in the dryer and I really need to go get that out because I started another load of clothes.  The ones I wore into the basement got wet and dirty so I tossed them in to wash with some other laundry.  I can't put it in the dryer until I get the bed linen out. I'll do that after posting this.  I hope it's clear or at least dry tomorrow!  Today's walk was pretty miserable. I hate having to hold the umbrella. At least it wasn't cold.

I play Pokemon Go every day on my walk and I've been using that new feature that gives you distance even when the app isn't on.  It's great for hatching eggs.  It also helps on battery as I don't have to keep the app going so much.  I got home today and was anxious to check my hatching eggs and realized I didn't have any incubating. D'oh!  I fixed that so I should have some tomorrow.  Silly me. :p

So, I didn't walk today as I had planned.  The funny thing is, the rain stopped right about the time I would be going for my walk! LOL  Since I had already decided to skip the walk today, I did just that!  I went out later and hit a Pokestop as this was day seven of a streak and I didn't want to lose my streak!  While I was out, I found myself at Starbucks.  Today and tomorrow, they are giving you 20 bonus stars for any holiday drink.  I got a caramel brulee and it was delicious!  I came home and went in the basement. No luck on getting the pilot light lit on the water heater, but I got nice cold feet. :( . 

I decided to wash my hair because it's been bothering me.  When I washed it before, I didn't realize until later that I didn't get all the shampoo out and it was driving me crazy. That water was COLD.  Brrrr.  While I was washing it and freeing my head off, I had the hair bonnet hair dryer on and warming up.  It felt so nice to get under that thing, let me tell you!

I thought about putting up my Yule tree, but last year, a lot of my light strands were faulty..  Either part of the string worked or none of them worked. I went to Target online and got five boxes of lights.  I went to the drive up to pick them up, but no one ever came out. My car was trying to overheat, so I pulled into a another parking spot and went in.  I picked up my lights and headed out.  The lady said the drive up pick up should have worked, but it didn't!  I got my lights and headed home.  I had put the tree up before leaving the house.  Just the actual tree.  When I got home, I tested the five strands of lights I had from last year and only two of them worked!  One strand worked only half way.  In other words, half of the strand would light up and the other half didn't! The one strand that did completely work was an old string and the blue lights weren't as dark as the newer ones. I didn't us that one.  I had enough with the five I bought and the half strand.  I think it looks lovely.  What do you think?

I also did my French and got 1777 words for NaNo!  One of my library books that I had a hold on came in today so I am going to switch to that one on my Kindle.  The one I'm currently reading can be renewed anytime.  I want to get this one that is on a limited time schedule first.

I finally got up, got dressed, and got out!  I walked to 17 and walked down a ways.  I went in the Dollar General, Big Lots, Food Lion and a LOT of beachwear stores.  Not one of them had the decal I was lookingi for.  Boo!  I will keep looking.  I know I'll walk to the Pavilion area at some point during this trip.  There are lots of beachwear stores there including the biggest one of all.  The Gay Dolphin.  It's huge and has a little of everything.

I stopped at the McDonald's on my way back to the room to rest for a bit.  I got a Coke and some fries.  It was nice to be able to sit for a bit and relax.  I did that and then after a nice break, I headed back here.  I forgot all about turning on Pokemon Go until I was almost back here.  I did hit a Pokestop and catch one.  I'll do more later when I walk on the beach.  I like getting those.  

My friend is getting ready.  When he is done, we are going out to eat.  I think we are going to Checker's.  We loved Checker's the last time we ate there.  This is a new location.  The one we went to last year closed.  This one recently opened.  I hope it's good.  I also wouldn't mind getting some Starbucks while I am out! :p lol

Well, the sun decided to peep out today!  I'll share some pictures at the end of this post.  I'm up and blogging.  I need to dress.  I think I'm going to go for a walk.  I am not sure exactly where I'm going, but I'm going somewhere.  Probably out to 17 to a few beachwear stores and then back to Ocean Boulevard to go to a Starbucks before they close for the day.

After my post last night, we went out to drive around a bit.  We went to Dairy Queen and got chicken strip baskets.  Yum!  After that, we drove up for a while.  We stopped in my favorite Bargain Beachwear and then headed back to the room.  I went for another short walk, but I didn't stay out long as it began to drizzle rain.  I actually caught a new Pokemon while out and hit a couple of Pokestops. LOL

So, today, I got up and got in my regular walk.  I was hoping my friend would want to walk again, but he didn't.  I went to Target and got some money!  How you ask?  Well, the Fitbit that I bought earlier went on sale and was $30 less.  I got the difference.  I had to go twice because I thought they would just be able to do the price difference, and I didn't take the box.  I only took the receipts.  I had to come home and get the  box and go back.  This was stressful as my car is acting up horribly.  I got it done though. Good thing too, today was the last day to get the difference!  Twenty of that will go to bill for this Fitbit.  The other ten was for fun!  I have been eating very well lately and I'm seeing progress.  I decided to treat myself to some comfort food.  I went to McDonald's.  I shouldn't have gotten it, but it was so delicious! :P

I ate in the park and PoGo'd while I was there.  I had almost hatched a 10k egg on today's walk and I finished the rest in the park.  I got a Snorlax. :D It's been a loooong time since I have gotten one!  I also hit a few Pokestops. There were some people that took over a Valor gym.  They were Instinct and I was tempted to go take it for Mystic, but I was nice and didn't. :p  

We had local elections today so I went to vote.  I got an I voted sticker.  It is already in my bullet journal. ^_^  I meant to ask the ladies at Target for a Spot the dog sticker but didn't.  I know they give them out to kids, but I wanted one myself. lol  I'm such a silly!

After all the Target stuff and before McDonald's, I went out and mowed the front lawn.  It was starting to look shabby again.  The back is okay.  I did a big portion of it a few days ago.  The other part should be okay for a few days.  

That means, it's snowing in French!  Yes, it's snowing here!  They said we'd get a little snow and then it would be all rain.  So far, it's been all snow! lol  I didn't walk today because I was afraid the snow would stop and it would be rainy and gross.  Well, it didn't rain, but the snow is falling fast and furious.  The sidewalks would have been covered.  I went out a little bit ago to mail the pen pal letters I wrote last night since I didn't go for my walk.  The streets aren't too bad, but the sidewalks are pretty nuts.  It's a good thing I didn't walk!  I hit a few Pokestops while I was out since I was on a streak and today was day 7.  

I stopped at Hardee's on my way back and got myself a coffee.  I should have waited until I got home and just fixed another cup here, but oh well!  It's nice to get some on the go.  Besides, I had to go out in this mess.  I deserved a treat.  I would have gone to Starbucks, but I didn't want to go across town!

So, I'm in for the day now.  I hope it will be clear enough for me to walk tomorrow.  I don't like to miss too many days in a row.  I still have my workouts to do.  I'll do those later this evening.  Right now, I'm just going to sit at my deck and look out at the pretty snow.  It's still falling and it's very nice.  I took a few pictures to share with you:

I didn't try to go to Starbucks today.  I didn't even get in my walk at the regular time.  It was really cold and we had freezing rain and ice today.  They had said it would be over at noon, but then they extended it a few more hours.  I didn't want to go walk in ant of that mess!  I decided to skip my walk and so I did.  I was basically a lump.  I didn't even leave bed until lunch time!  I wasn't sleeping, I was just in bed.  I finally got up and put my bed linens in to wash and fixed some lunch.  After eating it, I did a few things and then ran to to the park to hit a Pokestop.  I was on a seven day streak and today was day seven.  As I was leaving the park and heading home, I realized that it wasn't too bad out.  The rain had stopped and it the sky was trying to clear off a bit.  I decided to take a short walk. 

I got home and then went for my walk.  I only went a short distance.  Right under 4 miles.  It was almost dark when I got home, so I just did make it.  I came in and did my workouts.  I hadn't done those yet.  I did an extra one and then relaxed a bit before making dinner.  I played Pocket Camp off and on all day.  I'm trying to finish this crazy event.  I only need ten more butterflies and I'll have completed the event.  I want to finish this one.  That last one, I didn't even come close!  

I took a bath and washed my hair a bit ago after I put the bed linen back on the bed.  I'm now sitting with my head under the hair bonnet dryer.  It's almost dry.  It's so convenient to have this thing!  I love it so much.  After my hair is dry, I'm going to fix a small snack and then play more Pocket Camp and then read.  I'm enjoying the book about Lizzie Borden that I'm reading.  It's pretty good! 

I was so not expecting the snow that we got today.  Yes, I knew  they were calling for snow but they are saying around 3 inches total.  Last official count I heard, we were almost to 7 inches!  It's probably going to be awhile before I can get back out to walk!  I went out and walked in the yard in it a bit this afternoon and it was crazy deep.  It was all powdery this afternoon.  After it finally stopped snowing, I went out to the front walk with a cutting board and cleared the walk!  The snow was so light, it was easy.  The only bad thing was that I couldn't find any of my gloves.  My poor hands were numb and then hurting when I came in!  I need to find my gloves!

I did my workouts this evening.  I was glad to do those since I couldn't walk.  I used the day to sit at my desk and look out at the snow. I also drank a lot of coffee!  I put three 'new' trackers in my bullet journal.  I put the Pokemon Go trackers of Generation 1-3 in there.  That took a while, so I it was a good day to do it when I couldn't really go anywhere! :p  Tomorrow I plan to write pen pal letters.  Hopefully I can get out before too many more days and get them mailed.  The mail didn't even run here today!  I hope it does tomorrow.  I'm expected some things.  One is supposed to be here tomorrow, but who knows with this crazy weather. :P

The building on the left is an old chicken house that has been on my property since forever.  You can see a outdoor table and chairs on the right.  There is a swing near the back of the yard.  It was so lovely out there, but it's going to be crazy trying to go anywhere anytime soon!

A Hawaiian roll would be good right now.  LOL No, not that kind of roll, unfortunately.  I'm on a roll today. I did my usual morning routine and then had breakfast.  I then got up and go dressed and headed out for my walk to the bank and to the grocery store.  I went to the bank and cashed my check.  I left there and went to Rose's and picked up a few things and then went to Food Lion and got one thing.  I headed back home then as I it was a dairy item and I didn't want to keep it out too long.

I got home and realized I had some time to relax a bit before my workouts.  I went on Hulu and saw that the newest Simpsons episode was up.  IT was the Treehouse of Horror one and I was happy to see it.  They usually air it a lot earlier in the month.  I watched that and then did my workouts.  It was a PIIT style workout and I was going, "Oh, this isn't so bad." On the first round.  Let's just say by the end, I was like.... I shouldn't have said that! LOL!  I was all sweaty and tired.  Luckily, I had a few minutes to cool down and relax before going to fix lunch!  I just had lunch actually.  It was good!

I know I usually post later in the day, well, except when I am at the beach! I wanted to get a blog post done while I was sitting down and relaxing for a bit.  I may take another walk tonight, I'm not sure yet.  We'll see! ^_^ On my earlier walk, I caught another Pikachu with Witch hat.  YAY! I will evolve him into a Raichu so I'll have one of each with a hat. :p

So, it's Sunday and it's my regular day to do my bed linen.  I have that in the dryer now.  I'm pretty sure it's ready to go back on the bed, I just need to get it out and do that.  I got in a smaller walk today.  I didn't go as far as yesterday as I didn't want to be walking after dark again.  I could have actually stayed out longer, but oh well! Tomorrow, I plan to walk earlier in the day as I need to go by the bank.  I got a small check and I want to cash it.  It's a whole $3.42! LOL  Not too exciting, but  was totally  broke before this, so at least I can get a few things while I'm out.

I got in my workouts on time and then relaxed a bit before fixing lunch.  After that, I waited just a little bit and then went for my walk.  I played Pokemon Go for some of my walk.  I caught a new one and I also caught a Pikachu in a witch hat.  So cute! :) I was hoping to catch more new ones, but I was happy for what I got!  I will probably play tomorrow when I walk to the bank.

Oh yesterday's walk, I started listening to the audiobook of The Stand.  I tried to pick up where I left off yesterday, but it didn't want to play correctly.  It would be going along just fine, and then just skip way ahead in the recording.  Weird. I didn't want to have to mess with that while walking, so I just switched to Cell.  I have the Audible audiobook of it, and it's all one long recording.  It wanted to be bitchy too!  It started part of the way in the recording.  I finally got it to behave and listened to that on my walk.  Crazy iPod issues! :p

I needed to go to the post office and the library today, so I walked.  It was nice outside.  Not really too warm and it was sunny.  I got to the post office and got my letters.  I had to go to the counter because I had a postage due one. This is why I walked so I could get it while they were open.  I did that and then checked my box.  I had more letters, yay!

I left there and headed to the library.  I needed to update my card so I could use the ebook service.  I checked out three books while I was there.  Two French books and Dangerous Ground by M. William Phelps.  I already started on it. :p  The French books are for language learning.  I thought it would be nice to have some backup to Duolingo.  One is a 'workbook' of sorts and the other is French and English grammar.  They are presented side by side for comparison.

I got back in time to do my workouts, but I decided to wait until later this evening to do them.  It's a HIIT routine, so it will only take me thirty minutes.  I can do that later.  I am glad I got to the post office and the library.  I hadn't walked that far in a while, so it was a bit tiring.  I came back and sat on my bed with a cup of coffee and my book.  I'm going to finish typing this up and then ge ready to fix my lunch.  After that, I'll probably just relax for a while and then do my workouts.  I slept a lot better last night than I have for the past week, so that made my walk a bit better.  I also got to meet an adorable Lab and that helped too! :P I played Pokemon Go on the way down, but running that and my fitness app was making the battery go down quickly, so I stopped before I got to my turn around point.
