What the Junk?!

So, I love being able to use themes on my phone.  I've download SO many different themes looking for the best one.  There are some that are almost perfect but there will be one little thing I'd like to change.  So, I downloaded ThemeGalaxy and it's so cool!  I can create my theme and set it up the way I want it.  I love it.  I'm using my own theme at the moment and it's so cool.  There is one thing I need to change, and I'm trying to figure out where to go in the app to do that.  Once I get that worked out, it's going to be awesome! 

Okay, I went back in and I think I figured it out.  I'm creating the theme now and when it's done, I'll apply it and see if that does the trick.  This is so cool!  The one thing that I had the biggest issue with on the premade themes you can get was that the messaging app colors were not customizable.  That was usually where I didn't like the themes.  Now, I can do my own.

Okay, I'm applying it now.  I'll let you know if I did find the correct the option to change the notification drop down colors. It worked! I love it! ^______^ . So cool!

My old phone had a horrible issue with GPS.  It was readily apparent when I used my walking apps and Pokemon Go.  The new phone has no issues at all with GPS!  I was playing around with Google assistant and got it to give me directions to Starbucks yesterday.  It did okay, but it could have been more in depth.  I downloaded Waze last night to give it a try.  I loaded Starbucks in there and told it to take me there. Yes, I already know the way.  I could drive over there in my sleep.  I just wanted to test the app.  It did fine.  I got a drink while I was there. Of course. :P

I entered in the post office after that to see what it would do with that.  It kept trying to send me the wrong way!  I'm not sure if it was the app or me.  Probably me as I didn't pull over to start it.  After I left the post office, I told it to get me home and it tried to carry me quicker route home so that was okay.  I don't think I would depend on the Google directions or the Waze directions if I were out of town.  Of course, if I had been able to look at my phone, it would have been better.  I'll have to get a mount for my car.  I think if I could glance at the screen, it would be helpful.  If I get a mount, I'll try it again and see how it goes.  I think that would be good to use.  I can use it at the beach next month if I am walking and get turned around.   That actually happened one year.  I went walking and walked somewhere I'd never been.  It took awhile, but I got back to the ocean. LOL

I did NOT want to walk today.  I had made up my mind to skip it.  Then, I got my ass up and walked! It was so hot out there that I regretted it at first. I was happy when I got done and got home in the air conditioning!  I cooled off and relaxed and then did my workouts.  I wanted to skip those too, but I did them!  

So, tomorrow will be one week that I have had my new phone.  I really love it.  It's the perfect size and has plenty of features.  The battery life is amazing.  I was charging my old phone several times a day.  I have only charged this one more than once a day a few times.  That probably wasn't necessary for it to last all day, but I did do it a few times.

I have been using the fingerprint security and it's great.  I have it set up for unlocking the phone, along with other things.  I have several apps that instead of having to type my password in every time, I just use my print.  That is so convenient and I love it.  Some of my passwords are really long!  I love that feature. 

With m old phone, the power button was on the back.  That was awkward when I first got the phone, but I got used to it very quickly.  With this phone, the power button is on the side.  The fingerprint scanner is right where the power button was on the old phone.  It makes the transition on that matter easier too.

The camera is pretty nice.  I think the pictures in low light are better quality.  I love that I can theme out the phone and change things around.  I use a launcher, but I can still change the theme on the phone.  It's pretty cool and there are so many great free themes.  I want to learn to make my own themes, so that is on my to do list. ^_^

I had a bad night last night. I couldn't get sleepy and when I finally did lie down and try to sleep it took a long time.  I woke up cranky and out of sorts today.  I still walked and did all my other things I usually do.  I took a couple of pictures to share.  One was during my walk and one was later this evening when I went to the grocery store to get a few things I needed.  The camera is pretty darn nice!

Well, I got in my walk and workouts today.  I also got my new phone.  I got .... a ... Samsung Galaxy S9. LOL!  Yeah, I said I didn't want a Samsung, but it was available, I was able to get it today, and it's pretty nice.  I think I really like it.  I'll know for sure in a few days.  I already have all my stuff transferred over.  It's pretty cool so far.  We'll see how I feel in a few days.

I didn't get to my letters today.  I meant to, but after everything else, I didn't get a chance. It's a bit too late to start them now.  I'll try my best to get them done tomorrow. I've felt kind of bleh all day.  I SO did NOT want to walk today but I went anyway.  I wanted to skip my workouts too, but I didn't.  I haven't done my French yet, but I'll do that after I finish this post.  I've spent the majority of the day setting up my phone and getting it like I want it.  I was lucky to save the APK of a few apps that are no longer in the Play store.  They are now on my new phone. ^_^ . The screen is bigger than my old phone, but the phone is the same size.  I like that.  I did not want a huge phone!  The camera is pretty damn nice.  I've only taken pictures inside because of how late I got everything set up, but those are nice!  I'll take one to show:

The colors and lighting are better than any of my old phones.  I think I'll like the camera.  I'll definitely take some pictures outside tomorrow.  So far, so good.
