Starbucks gift cards Feed

Friday afternoon / early evening post

Hoo boy am I tired. I decided to walk to the Pavilion area today.  It's been a LONG time since I walked that much. I was hurting coming back, let me tell you! LOL I walked to the beginning of the boardwalk and walked it down to the Pavilion area. I went in the Gay Dolphin and bought a cute shirt and a few stickers/decals.  I then walked across the street to I love Sugar.  I wanted bulk nerds. Guess what they didn't have? WAH!!!!!!!! lol, I wanted my damn Nerds! I did get some of the little Cotton candy-flavored candies that I like a few random things to try. I love bulk candy. Goodness, gracious! :p

I went to the first Starbucks that I came to, the one in the Bay View Resort.  I got a caramel ribbon crunch frappuccino and it was delicious! I was able to pick up a few cards I didn't have, too.  I went to the Oceanfront Starbucks but I didn't get anything in there today.  I just wanted to visit. I saw a water bottle that I adored at the Bay View and was going to buy it at the Ocean Front one, but they didn't have it. Oh well, I'll get one or something else I love. :P

I walked back along the Boardwalk and then when I got to the end, I took off my shoes and gave my poor feets a break, and walked in the surf back to the hotel. That was nice and my feet were much happier with me! It was nice to walk in the daytime as so far, I've only been on the beach at night.  I still will go tonight, but you know how it is! :P I took a lot of pictures and I'll share some here. Maybe I'll do a complete Google photo album of the trip when I get home. For now, enjoy these pictures I took along the way.

Thursday Evening Post

We went out and went to a few places.  We drove down to Pawley's Island! I've never been, so that was pretty cool. We went to a GW boutique (Goodwill only higher-end items), a Salvation Army, and a Tuesday Morning. I got stuff in all three. :p  We ate in Murrell's Inlet on the way back up at a place called Judy Boone's kitchen. It was pretty good, too!  We came back up to Myrtle and went to the Tuesday Morning here.  We have been back to the room for some time now.  I have sat down and paid bills, and now I'm typing this up.  My phone is currently on charge.  We went by a Starbucks in Pawley's Island and my friend stopped so I could go in! This was right before we were headed to eat, so I didn't get a drink, but I got more cards I needed and a new tumbler. :p  Oops. Hee hee.

PXL_20210603_203149467.MP

That is the Starbucks we stopped by. Very nice location and I have a new one to add to my list! Joy!

Wednesday evening post

Hello there! We just got back to the room about an hour ago.  We got a lot of thrifting done.  We've been to five Goodwill stores, one Salvation Army, one beach store, and Tuesday Morning!  I didn't get a lot at the Goodwill stores. I got a little metal sign and a pouch in the one at NMB.  At the one off 501 I got a tote bag with a Corgi on it. I also got a clock radio in there for the room.  The room doesn't have one and this one is small and cute so it works and I can bring it on trips since it's small.

The Conway Goodwill I bought some shoes, and then at the one on Loyola, I got a Jack O' lantern and something else but I cannot remember what it was! Umm... yeah, no clue! I just remembered! It was a vintage radio/cassette player (knockoff Walkman)  The last Goodwill we went to at Murrell's Inlet, I got a vintage Rook card game.  I didn't buy anything at the Salvation Army.  I passed up on a Fossil bag, too! It was one that I wouldn't carry, so I was easy to pass up.

At Tuesday morning, I got a little TN, a two-pack of notebooks, and a pack of neon/pastel fineliners.  Everything was on clearance too! :) At the beachwear store (Beach Life) I got a shirt and a sticker. My friend got me another shirt so I got two. Yay!  After we left the Loyola GW, we went to the Cookout that is down the road. While my friend went through the drive-thru line, I walked over to Starbucks! I got a pretty rainbow tumbler and some cards I didn't have.  I also got a peppermint white mocha. Yummy! Here are some pictures that aren't just beach. :p

As you can see in the first picture, it got really dark in Conway.  I took this picture.  The second picture was of the waterfall at one of the miniature gofl places down here. I thought it was pretty.

Goal met, again.

Yes, I just hit 50,000 words for CampNaNo!  Yes, I plan to go on.   I actually wrote like crazy today and got over 4000 words!  I was on a roll.  I wrote earlier today. I wasn't going to leave the house today, so I had plenty of time to write. I could write more, but I'm going to give myself a break until tomorrow.  I didn't do a lot more than writing today.  It's been a slow day. I've been at my desk on the MBP since I ate breakfast.  I need to run out and turn off the water. I turned it on to wash off Goontz yesterday and forgot to turn it off. We are under a freeze warning tonight! I don't want my hose to break.

I took another picture of my 'new' Fossil bag. It's not a great shot, but it's much better than he one I took last night! Here it is:

PXL_20210421_221758410

I have plastic bags in it to give it shape while it's not being used. It's so supple and nice. I'll probably save it for fall/winter time.   I just checked the weather on my MBP and it's currently 48˚!   It is pretty chilly inside, too. I am going to have to put on a sweater or a hoodie in a bit. I already put away my heater for the year and I'm not getting it back out.  I could just be lazy and get on my pajamas and snuggle under the covers in my bed.  That sounds pretty nice, actually! I think I'm going to organize my Starbucks cards and then crash on my bed and relax.  I have the cards that aren't the regular size ones in two disk boxes.   I would like to have them sorted by year like I do the other ones.  Here are the two file boxes and the cards:

PXL_20210421_234616583~2

These work great! The little one is for the smaller ones that are on a single card, the bigger box is for the weird-sized ones. It works out well! They stay organized and dust-free, too! I just finished organizing them. They look better and they are all in order.

Friday fun with thrifting.....

So, I thought my friend and I were not going to thrift today. He had the day off and didn't mention it so I was settled in at my desk ready to spend the day on my Mac and write and just enjoy my day.  He had texted me earlier this morning and didn't mention going, so I thought that was that. He texted around 2 this afternoon and mentioned going. I really wanted to just stay at home, but I agreed to go.  I dressed and went out and washed off Goontz.  It's pollen season and my Goontz had a layer of yellow/green pollen all over.  I got that done and then waited for my friend.  He came and we went to Reidsville. He ate at Bojangles and then went to the Salvation Army store.  I found a Sony clock radio for $2, a pack of Post-it note page flags, (Well two packs), and a package of pretty napkins. Don't judge me! lol  We went to the Goodwill and I only found one item. It's a Jack o lantern metal candle holder that originally came from Bath and Body Works. It was very cute and caught my eye so I got it.

We then went to the Goodwill in Walkertown NC. I found a little purple jack o lantern candle holder in there.  I also found a very nice little cabinet/stand. Here is a picture.  It still has the letter stickers from where it was assembled and the price sticker.  It was only $8 and I am not sure where I'm going to put it, but it's in excellent condition. The drawer works well and the shelf is adjustable.

Point Blur_Apr162021_225035

It will be a nice addition to my house.  I just have to figure out where I'm going to use it!  We went to Mayodan after that and I only found two things.  A disk holder and a sleep mask.  The disk holder is a Fellows brand and it was for computer disks back in the day. It will be perfect to hold my specialty Starbucks cards.  I was going to search for one of these for that purpose and this one was there so I got it. It's in great shape, too! Speaking of Starbucks cards, several I ordered on eBay arrived today!  I was happy to get them. I only have one thing that I'm waiting on now and that is a Starbucks tumbler.  I saw it in-store when I went to the 'new' Starbucks in Greensboro and I knew I wanted it.  I decided to look on eBay. I knew I'd have to pay more for it, but I found one that was only a few dollars more with free shipping so that saves me trying to find it at the local Starbucks. :)

I forgot to mention that I found a Fossil purse at the Walkertown store but I had to pass it up as it was priced pretty high.  I was short on funds. My friend got the little cabinet for me. He would have gotten the purse too and let me pay him back for both, but I'm still doing monthly payments on the Docs! We went back to Reidsville before heading home and ate at Carmela's.

Friday fun?

Yes, I realize I didn't post last night.  Sorry about that.  I only went out once yesterday and that was to pick up a gardening bucket at Lowe's.  They have a promotion going through the month of April where you can go each week and get some things for free.  This week was a bucket with a bag of potting soil, plant food, gardening gloves, and seeds! Very cool! You can use the bucket and do container gardening or plant the seeds elsewhere.  I am not sure what next week's 'kit' will be, but this was very cool. While I was out, I called my bestie to see if she would like STarbucks.  She is recovering from Covid, so she can't really go out right now.  I took her a peppermint white mocha (her favorite) and place it outside her back door and hurried away! :p  I felt a little treat would be nice for her.  I got myself one, too! :p

Today, my friend and did a thrifting trip.  He did not get off at noon like he sometimes does on Friday, so we had to wait until he got off at 2:30.  We went to Greensboro and ate at Herbie's place.  They have breakfast all day and it's good, too!  We ate and then went to five Goodwill stores over there and we didn't even get to all of them!  I found some goodies, too!  Remember the Sak bag that I found at the beach and didn't get and then bought on eBay? The one I found in teal later and then had two?  Well, one of the Goodwill stores had it in purple!  Now I have three versions of that bag. :p  I also picked up another Sak bag in there that is blue. It was very pretty and in excellent shape.  I found two Starbucks things.  One at two different Goodwill stores.  One is a plastic 16oz tumbler and one is a lidded ceramic tumbler from the holiday collection in 2011! Very cool.  Here are those finds:

PXL_20210410_031217566

I have another green tumbler like this one that I bought in the store back in the early days of me going to Starbucks.  This one is just like it with a different design.  The ceramic was is nice and in perfect condition, not a nick or scratch on it!  Other finds today were a small paper cutter, some pens, a ream of printer paper for $2, a cute Mario Bros mushroom zipper case, three ceramic jack o lanterns and one big fabric 'bucket' jack o lantern, and a weather alert radio just like the one I found on the way home from the beach last year.  This is the same radio, only the newer model and it wax still in the box and had the manual. It will be nice to have backup or I could put it in another part of the house.  Speaking of weather alerts, it's storming here and the lightning was so intense I could see it through my blinds.  I was waiting for a loud BOOM!  I hope I don't lose power before I get this posted. Yikes! :P

In one Goodwill, I saw a pair of almost brand new Nike shoes and they were my color and they were in my size.  My friend bought them for me. Yay!  I love them and they'll probably replace my daily shoes. I even wore them for a bit after I got them to test them out.  Pretty comfy.  like Nike shoes so its was a nice thing to find.  I have one more picture to share.  I took a picture of the pretty little tree in the parking lot at Herbie's.  Here you go!

PXL_20210409_204615034.MP

Such a pretty little tree! :)  I forgot to mention that after we left one Goodwill and were headed to another, we passed a Starbucks that I'd never been to.  My friend asked if I wanted to stop, I said YES!!!!!!!!! lol, I got a peppermint white mocha again and was able to grab a stack of cards to add to my collection.  I also saw a Tumber I want. :p  I didn't get it, but it's on my 'want list' now.

D'oh what a bad food day!

Yeah, you read that right! So, I had to mow my front lawn today. BOO! I needed gas for my mower, so I had to go out and get some.  I got a happy meal at McDonald's while I was out.  I paid extra for the six-piece one and they gave me a cheeseburger. ~_~; They were very busy and lined up around the building so I just ate it.  That was bad enough, but then, later, I was going to get UberEats from the local Mexican restaurant that I like.  They were on there last week and today they weren't listed. So, I went looking for something else. I decided to do an online order at Firehouse Subs and just go get it myself.  I ordered the steak and cheese which is delicious.  I get it without the peppers, onions, and condiments. I only get steak and cheese and add extra provolone.  Well, I picked it up, brought it home, opened it up and it had onions and peppers. BOOOOO!  I had to pick them out. Luckily there was no mustard or mayo on there. That would have totally ruined the whole experience.  I don't like mustard and I actively HATE mayo. UGH!

At least I had some leftover pizza for dinner.  At the end of our thrifting trip last night, we stopped back in Reidsville and ate at Carmela's and split a pizza. I had three slices left of mine and that was dinner.  It was yummy!  In other news, a friend of mine has Covid and has been having a bad reaction to something she is taking and broke out in hives and had to go to the hospital.  Luckily, they medicated her and sent her home. That was a relief. Another horrible thing happened.  One of my longtime online friends lost their son in a car crash.  I feel so bad for the family and my friend.  I wish I could do something for them.  It's a very sad situation. It's been on my mind all day.

I wrote a little today but not too much.  Only 1118 words, but that isn't too bad.  It was just not a good day for writing.  I had so much on me with worrying about my friends and then the food fails that happened to me.  It was just not the best day. Hopefully, tomorrow will be better! One good thing did happen today.  I received an order from eBay of some Starbucks cards and I ordered several more that I need for my collection. Now I'm going to post this and then re-read what I wrote for today and then relax until bedtime.  Goodnight from me!

Oi, sorry!

Yeah, I didn't post yesterday. I totally meant to! My friend and I went on our Tuesday thrift trip.  We went to Reidsville and to Mayodan.  I didn't get a lot of stuff, but I got a few things.  My computer chair is slowly dying and I've been looking for a new one.  My friend saw one in the Goodwill in Reidsville NC and he bought it for me. It was only $5! It's very similar to the one I'm using now so I'm happy with it.  My thrifting finds were two mugs (a snowman one and a Halloween one), a roll of caution tape, a flashlight, some Jack o lantern string lights, and several other little things.  Not a huge haul, but a fun one.  I went tonight to Target and got a few things I have been needing.  I was able to pick up some Starbucks cards that I didn't have.  That was nice.  I am always happy to get those.  In Target, I found some Post-It brand stuff on markdown.  They have a new line called Noted.  They had a little notebook on clearance and a pad of Post-It notes that were graph paper.  I bought those and the thing I had gone for. I actually had gone over there to get some of the pop-up PostIts.  I have three different PostIt brand popup dispensers I've found while thrifting but I only have the regular notes.  I found a six-pack in Target so now I have these.  I just have to go around and fill my dispensers.

For now I'm going to close.  I'll try to post more tomorrow.  Sorry again for no post yesterday.  Time just got away from me!  I'm trying to keep the 13" Macbook Pro charged so if I want to move on my bed with it, I can.  I like keeping the 15" on my desk. :)

Impromtu Thrift!

Yeah, there were absolutely no plans to thrift today.  My friend has been saying he'd put new tires on Goontz since we've driven it so much and it was needed new tires when he got it.  He took it today and got tires.  He then wanted me to drive it to see how it felt with the new tires.  That was nice.  I switched spots with him and we went by Wendy's for me to grab a bite to eat as it was past my lunchtime.  After that, we went to Cookout so he could get a shake.  He mentioned drying on the highway and said something about Eden, NC.  I said, how about Martinsville instead.  That is what we did.  We went to the Goodwill in Martinsville and the one in Bassett (just up the road about 10 minutes).  At the first GW, I found some Avery address labels new in the package, three packs of business card binder pages, (I use these for my Starbucks cards), a purple binder with some divider inserts already in there, a cute little canvas bag, and a plastic kitchen spoon!  That was a nice little haul.  We went to the Bassett one and I found a pair of Dr. Martens in my size that looked almost brand new.  They were $40 and I didn't have that much, so my friend got them and I'm going to pay him back $10 a month for the next four months. Cool!  They are pretty cool, they are a bit shiny and look either purple or burgundy.  Just depends on the lighting.  They are very cool and I've never had a pair of Docs.  Here they are:

PXL_20210325_004436520.MP

Cool, yes? My size, in great condition for a good price, and they are comfy!  I was very pleased to get them.  The only other thing I found in there was a puzzle.  I got it for .69¢. I really need to start working on puzzles again!  While we were out, we went by the car wash and washed Goontz.  Later, we took it by another car wash and I vacuumed it well.  My Goontz has new tires, is clean inside and out and I'm pleased! ^_^

Here is the cute little bag. It has blueberries on it! It has a tag that says, "Stonewall Kitchen" in it.  I just thought it adorable and had to have it. It rang up a whole .99¢!

PXL_20210325_024929775~2

Impromptu thrift trips are fun!  In other news, my set of Styluses that I ordered from Amazon came today.  I also received my order from eBay of two DS games. One is Scribblenauts and one is an Adventure Time game! YAY! The AT game is, "Hey Ice King! Why Did You Steal Our Garbage??!" :p

A little snow

It was snowing when I got up today. It didn't snow long and it didn't stick to much of anything but at least it did snow briefly.  I wish we would get one really nice snow.  It's been cold and bleah all day. Bleah all day except for the snow part. :p  I have been .... I don't even know what I've been doing. Seriously. It's been a long day.  I did remember to take a picture of the case on my MacBook Pro.  I was about to forget that, but I remember and here it is:

PXL_20210117_025016779

I love the colors, it's what attracted me in the first place.  In the pictures, it looked like there was a cut out at the Apple. In the ad pictures, it shows a bright white apple so I thought it was cut out.  I realized when looking back at the add after it had shipped that it does not have the cutout. D'oh!  It's still gorgeous.  I wanted to write today and I haven't. I might do that after posting this.  I've had a migraine for several days. This is day three, so I might not be able to come up with a good day's work.  We'll see.  I need to do my French too as I've forgotten all about it.  I got the last of the Starubkcs holiday cards I ordered. I now have the complete set of 2020 holiday cards! ^_^

By the way, this is the picture on the listing. Do you see why I thought it had the cutout? :|

Screen Shot 2021-01-16 at 10.44.14 PM

Ahh!

I'm so tired! It has been a very long day and I am going to be glad to crash in my bed asap!  I remembered the things I forgot that I bought at the thrift store.  I found two pairs of pajama bottoms.  I love sleep shorts and I wear mine until they completely wear out. It's hard to find sleep shorts in the thrift store, but you can find pajama bottoms easily. I just cut the legs off any bottoms I find and make them into sleep shorts. It works for me!

I didn't do much of anything today because I was waiting on a package for my friend.  He had the shipment re-directed to come here and I waited on it all day. It never came. ~_~; Now it says they'll deliver tomorrow. D'oh!  I got an envelope in my mailbox today.  It was four of the holiday Starbucks cards that I ordered. Yay! I am happy to add them to my collection! ^_^

D'oh I have the dumb!

I got several of the Starbucks cards that I ordered from eBay today.  Four envelopes with goodies.  I went to leave feedback and noticed that one order ios not showing for feedback.  I went and looked and the stuff is still in my cart at eBay. D'OH!  It was one seller from whom I was buying six different cards from.  Well, I went in and deleted two since I was able to get them at Starbucks yesterday and I ordered the four I needed. I also ordered a multipack.  I only have more multipack to order and I'll do that next month.  I'll have every holiday card released this year. Yay!  One person was nice enough to send a holiday-themed gift card holder too! Awesome. :). I love adding to my collection!  I am going to have to get a bigger binder or split the cards into two binders.  There are so many of them. I am trying to decide how to divide them.  Maybe I'll do all the plastic cards in one and then the new 'paper' cards in the other binder.  They are not in order of release for the most part. The later ones are, but the earlier ones are all jumbled up in there.  I also want to figure out a way to keep the other type. I have them in a binder, too, but it's busting at the seams. lol. The other types of ones are multipacks, die cuts, special ones, etc.  I might get a box to keep those in.  I haven't decided yet.  I keep all my extra regular cards in a snap-lid box.  Maybe I can get a larger one for the bigger card/packs.  Hmmm.... remember I told you I found a Radio Shack branded disk organizer case at the Salvation Army thrift store? I wonder if that would work. That would be so cool if they'll fit! I'm going to try it. :)

Most of them fit, but there are too many of them. Sadly, I already took them out of the binder.  I will find something similar to this disk container and it will be perfect. I CAN fit many in this and I probably will. The bigger ones, I'll find something else and I'll just use both.  Here is when I started and I was hopeful.

PXL_20201221_223015978.MP

Wow!

I finally sat down and worked on that part of my latest story and boy did I improve it a LOT.  It's so much better.  I went to mail off the few holiday cards I prepared last night. I got in line at the post office behind a lady at the dropbox.  She opened her door, got out, put her arm in the box, looked in, put her arm in the box again and I just sat there like this. @_@?  She gets out and goes around and drops the mail in the back and finally gets back in her car and pulls off.  As soon as I got up to the box, I see the issue. It's so full that it isn't even going down the chute!  I just left and went to a free-standing box somewhere else and mailed my cards. I have never seen a box stuffed so damn full!  I wonder when they emptied it last?   I was able to get Starbucks while out and I actually went inside and got all of the Christmas cards they had! Well, everything but the multipacks.  I came home and looked and I was just a few short of having all the cards.  I ordered the ones I was missing on eBay so I'll have the complete set. Yay! I'm quite pleased.  The only bad thing is that I ran out of the little plastic card pages I put them in!  I need to go to Office Max and get another pack.  My collection is really growing.  I realized that I missed quite a bit this year because of Covid, but I hope to get those on eBay eventually!

It was nifty being in Starbucks. I hadn't been in the store since March or earlier!  They have all the seating marked off so there was nowhere to sit and stay.  I hadn't planned to anyway.  I will be happy when things get back to normal! I miss being about to go in there and just sit and enjoy some time out. I noticed as I was out today that the city has salted the streets.  We are under a winter weather advisory. I think it will probably just be rain and that will be it.  I would love to see some snow, but I know that isn't going to happen. :(

Starbucks to start off the month right.

Well, the drink was good, but the ordeal I had getting it.  Let me tell you.  They were busy as usual so I drove around the building to get in line.  Some old hag in a truck came and pulled up from the other side and got right in front of me.  I was not amused but I went ahead and got behind her.  Of course she was smoking. ~_~: I'm glad I didn't have to run the vent.  I kept my window up until I could get to the order box.

This is when the next bit of drama happened.  I ordered a Venti peppermint white mocha with caramel brulee sprinkles instead of the chocolate sprinkles.  This caused some confusion.  I think the girl taking the order was new.  I've ordered this before with no issues. I'm not one to get mad at the baristas, so I just patiently waited while she sorted it out.  She finally got it straight (she asked if I had said frappuccino, no I had not) and I went up in line.  Of course, the old hag in front of me had to order something that took forever.

I finally get to the window and the girl takes my Starbucks card and I tell her it's with stars. That goes smoothly and she hands me my drink.  It's a peppermint white mocha all right. Only, she gave me a grande instead of a venti! :(. After everything that had happened, I just took it with a smile and went on my way.  It was delicious in any case.  I did not want the line to get any longer.  When I left, they were back further than they had been when I got in line so I was doubly glad I didn't get it fixed. I deployed a Munzee while I was out and then headed home.

I wrote some on my other story tonight. I have some ideas of some other stories running around in my head.  These are old and much-loved characters so I am happy to get back to them.
