Saturday Evening post

We went out and ate at Denny's.  We were going to eat at Victoria's but they are closed on the weekend.  We forgot and went there first. D'oh!  Oh well, Denny's was delicious. Look at this chicken sammich!

It was delicious!  We left there and went to a Starbucks we missed yesterday. We've been to it twice this trip already. lol. I found a few things.  After that, I got to go to a brand new Starbucks!  I've never been to this one before so that was cool! It's really nice inside, too.  I got another tumbler. ^^;  Well, I had an offer to spend so much and get bonus stars and the tumbler and the drink put me well over the amount. Plus, I have another tumbler. I also got two cards I didn't find at the other Starbucks!

I still need to get in my beach walk and then I'm not sure what I'm doing.  I'm really tired as my sleep was horrible last night.  I hope to sleep soundly tonight. I'm not sure what we are doing tomorrow.  I still haven't made it to the pier. I have to check to make sure it's open on Sunday! If it is, I'll probably attempt it tomorrow. :)

Another Leuchtturm 1917? Yes!

I have my notebook for my 2021 bullet journal and it's a Leuchtturm1917!  This is my fourth one.  It's yellow and it's so pretty.  I will probably add a decal or sticker to the front at some point.  This years I had already planned the decal for it.  It was a Myrtle Beach one that matched the cover.  I will look to see if I can find a cute decal when we go to the beach next month. If not, I'll use a sticker.  I got a little packet of Adventure Time stickers in the mail yesterday.  They came in with the order where I ordered the Leuchtturm.  I also ordered a few more things that arrived yesterday.  The last item in that order was supposed to come today, but it didn't.  Hopefully, it will come tomorrow.  It's a passport size TN. ^^: Yes, I know I don't need any more TNs! ;p

An eBay item that I ordered last week came today, too.  My Note has all four of the Nissan hubcaps on it, but the front driver side one had broken pieces and it's cracked in places. I was able to find one on eBay and ordered it. It finally came today.  I was able to put it on after some fun of trying to get it on. LOL, The old one was easy to get off, the new one took me a bit but it's on.  Now my wheels all look good.

The next thing I want to get for the Note is the cargo cover.  I don't know why they don't have that included when you buy the car. I've seen other people mention this, so I don't think this one is just missing one from a previous owner.  The cargo cover (Nissan branded) is a bit over $100 so I am going to keep looking. I'm hoping to find one for a much, much lower price!

Here is the newest Leuchtturm.  I can't wait to set it up and hope that 2021 is much better than this crazy year!

Munzee and more!

I received a new traveler's notebook in the mail today. :P. This one is bigger than a passport size.  It will hold small Moleskine cahiers and Field Note notebooks.  I made mine into a Munzee kit!  I can use it as that and if I want to change it up, carry it as a smaller tn in the future! I like the way I set it up.  I want to get another pocket type insert.  The one I'm using cam in another thing I got and I saved it. It fits perfectly in this little TN and I can store Munzees in there.  All the extras I have in an old Altoid tin.  I can add more to the TN as needed.  Neat, yes?

Of course, I had to give it a test run!  First I drove to a place where there was a virtual Munzee and captured it, then I rode to Ballou park and drove around trying to decide where to deploy a couple of Munzees.  I have deployed several in the park.  You can deploy one within 50 feet of someone else's and at least 150 feet from your own. (Or the other way around, I forget! LOL!) Anyway!  I was able to deploy two and that was fun.  I took pictures of the TN while there since I was outside is beautiful natural light.  Here are the pictures:

This is the TN itself.  I put it in the bag my Foxy came in to carry it in my purse.  It's such a cute size!

The inside.  I have a Moleskine Evernote notebook in there.  I am using it to keep track k of the Munzees as I deploy them to keep a record. (I also have a tracker in my bujo)

The little plastic guy that I'm using for now to hold my Munzees.  I used washi tape to secure everything since it's easy to remove and re-stick.  The blue post it has a list of ones that I need to repair that I've deployed in the past.

I think this will be a neat system and I can easily toss this TN in another bag if I go out without my  purse.  I think I'm going to love it.  I found this TN on Amazon for a very good price. It comes in brown, black, and dark brown (what I have).  Very nice quality. It came with one notebook and an extra band. Highly recommended!

Evernote love!

If you have read my blog for a while, you know I love Evernote. I have Moleskine Evernote notebooks, en Evernote Jot stylus, and even some cool Evernote stickers.  I added one more thing to my collection today.  This awesome Evernote triangle messenger/laptop bag.  It was originally sold via Evernote Marketplace.  Sadly, they closed shop so it's hard to find anything except via eBay or other second hand methods.  Well, I found my holy grail of Evernote items.  (well, one of two.  There is still a shirt I must have!) Anyway!  I found two sellers with the Evernote commuter bag on eBay recently and I was able to snag one.  It's so cool!  It is very awesome. It takes up a small amount of space, but it has a lot of room inside!  It is made to sit upright on the desk or surface you are using.  I love it.  I can't wait for things to get back to normal so I can take it to Starbucks. :)

I took a few pictures to share. I couldn't do outside pictures because of the rain, but I tried my best to use the best lighting. I swear the lighting in my house SUCKS!  I should have filled the bag for one shot, but I didn't.  Here is the outside and two shots of inside:

That little divider in the last picture can be moved.  It originally came with two more of those, but I'm not complaining. I'm going to move that one down to the end and have it big enough to hold my laptop charger. I'll have the rest of the room for other stuff.  That is the one thing about most laptop bags, they aren't really designed for chargers! This has room for it and so much more.  I love that the front flap folds down so you can get to everything.

The seller also tossed in an unexpected bonus.  A Moleskine travel journal!  Awesome sauce!  You know I love Moleskines!  Such a nice surprise. ^_^.

Sunday stuff

I have been busy as usual on my Sunday afternoon.  I have washed my hair and bed linen. My hair is almost completely dry and my bed linen is dry. I just need to put it back on the bed.  I washed a load of laundry last night and I put it away too.  I also washed the dishes.  I am sure there is something else I'm forgetting I need to do, but I am now going to take a bit of a break!  I started a new true crime book last night that I found on Kindle Unlimited.  It's good so far.  I also have another that I downloaded at the same time.  So far I've found some good things to read with Kindle unlimited.  We'll see if I continue to find things.  I have two and a half more months to see before I decide if I'll keep it.

I had thought about taking the car out for a bit to just get out of the house, but it's in the 80's today and as you know, I don't have working air in my car.  I think I'll skip the trip! lol

It seems like I have something I needed to add, but I'm coming up blank. Sleep has been nutty the last week or so, so I am not thinking right.  Plus I've only had Starbucks once in almost two months so that probably has something to do with it too! :p

Slow Sunday

It's Sunday yet again and I'm currently washing my bed linens.  I was about to toss them in the wash when I realized that I washed a load of laundry last night and left it in the dryer after it dried so now I have to get that out to finish my bed linen. D'oh!  I was in the kitchen (where the washer and dryer are) and was about to start my bed linen drying when I realized.  I already had my pot of water on the stove to warm for washing my hair, so I just decided I'd wash it, dry it and then fold the laundry and dry the bed linen.

I started a new puzzle today.  It's a Puzzlebug one and I'm happy about that.  They just seem to be the best quality puzzles I've found that I can get at Dollar Tree.  The pieces are a decent size, they interlock well, and they are nice.  I'm currently working one with a lot of sky and a lighthouse.  I got a good portion done before stopping.

As soon as my hair is done drying, I will be working on putting away laundry.  Yes, I'm currently sitting under the hair bonnet dryer.  See my setup:

That is the puzzle in the background. Here is what I've done so far:

It's going to be another pretty one.  After I get the laundry put away and my bed linen in the dry, I'm going to relax for a bit.  I might read or work on more things to add to my Foxy Fix.  I love that thing so much.  The first time I ever saw a FF that was the Sugar Coconut, I fell in love.  I wanted a Foxy and I wanted a Sugar Coconut.  They aren't on the site anymore so I'm thinking it's a retired color.  I would see them from time to time on buy/sell sites but never a size I wanted of if it was the right size, it was too expensive.  When I saw this one, and the price with shipping being $20 I couldn't believe my luck.  It's b6 and that is just a bit smaller than A5.  I like A5 size and this is so close that it's perfect.  I am so happy I found the right size notebooks for it.  I just want to make another folder.  Since I have three inserts, I would like to have three folders.  I have the two folders I made in the Foxy.  One is behind notebook two and the other is at the back behind notebook 3.  I want to make one more and put it behind notebook one.  They are so easy to make with file folders that I already have on hand.  :)

Yay for the rain stopping!

It was supposed to rain all day today, but luckily when I got up today there was sunshine.  It did get overcast later, but it never rained.  I live in a river city as I've mentioned before and we had a LOT of flooding here in the city.  There are roads closed and underwater.  I was glad it stopped raining because I had to run to the bank today.  I wanted to get out a few dollars since my friend and I were doing our thrift store run tomorrow.  I probably won't get my new debit card until Monday or later, so I just wrote a check for cash and got $20.  I am sure if I run out of cash, my friend will front me until I can get my debit card and pay him back.

That crazy puzzle is driving me nuts!  I got a lot more done of it today, but I think some of the parts are not done correctly.  The raspberries are the hardest part and I'm working on them.  I finally just gave up for the evening and I thought I'd leave it until tomorrow.  I was just getting frustrating! I might take parts out and do it over.  I know the blueberries are right.  It's just those darn raspberries.

Here is the progress:

20200207_223051

I am going to take out the majority of the raspberries tomorrow and start over on that part.  The puzzle wouldn't be so bad if the pieces were cut almost in exactly the same shapes.  Pieces fit where they don't do.  It's frustrating, but I'm determined to finish it!

I got a new wallet in the mail today from eBay. It's a Relic brand. I'm pretty sure they are also a Fossil brand, just the cheaper version of their stuff.  I had a Relic wallet a long time ago that I adored. I wore it just about out.  I looked recently to see if I could find a version of it and did. It's smaller than the one I had, but it's pretty similar.  It's blue and I love it.  Here is the new wallet:

20200207_223146

It's a smaller wallet than my usual ones. It's a good size for my smaller purse.  I liked my Pink Fossil wallet, but it's really too tiny.  This is perfect. I can put my most used cards in it and my coupons and other things without it being overstuffed.  I don't like to overstuff my wallets.  This little wallet has a removable wrist strap and a shoulder strap that can be used.  I am not using either, but I have them stored in case I want to use them. The best thing? This is brand new and it still had the tags. I got it for a lot less than the list price. :)

I put a load of clothes in to wash last night and then forgot to move them to the dryer because I got caught up in my current read. I had to make myself stop reading so I could go to bed!  I am sure my clothes would have been okay to just toss in the dryer today, but just to be on the safe side, I rinsed them and spun them and then tossed them in the dryer.  I just need to get those out and put them away. I plan to do that after posting here.

Starbucks and a rainy day.

It has been absolutely gross outside today.  Rainy, cold, and just nasty.  I haven't wanted to do anything but lie around.  I hadn't gotten anything done for NaNo today and thought that getting some Starbucks would help.  It was so nasty out, I really didn't want to drive over there.  I tried to talk my friend into it, but that was a no go!  I went over there and went through the drive-thru.  It wasn't too busy and they still have cascara syrup.  I got my beloved cascara latte.  It was delicious!  I came home and got some good writing done.

I am now very close to 45,000 words!  I might have made it to 45,000 today, but I have more days to go in the month and I would really like to write every day.  I also want to attend the last write-in on Monday!  Maybe even from Starbucks if I can get a seat this time.  I'll see how it goes! I certainly enjoyed my drink today.

40,000 words!

Today I hit and went over the 40,000 word mark for NaNoWriMo!  I got my 40,000 word badge and my 21 day badge too! Whoo hoo!  Hard to believe that I'm almost finished.  I might have more than 50,000 words in this, but I know I am going to finish with no issues.  I do need to add some things.  I am not sure if I want to go back and add stuff near the beginning or have the end more complicated.  We'll see how it goes.  I have been pondering how to go from where I am now.

I haven't worked a jigsaw puzzle in so long, I'm going to forget how to! :P  I keep meaning to start one but then I get caught up in other stuff and it doesn't get done.  Hopefully, I can do one this weekend.  I also hope to get my pen pal letters written and sent out.  I have them all together and ready, I just need to write them.  Maybe I can get a seat at Starbucks this weekend?  It's possible, but who knows!

I added a new character to my book today.  I have only added four human characters to this book and one cat.  This may be the final book in the series unless I can think of an idea for the next book.  I had planned on three and I'll have four. I might just have to do one more to make it five. I'm an odd number girl!

NaNoWriMo and my Midori Traveler's Notebook

I didn't get as many words for NaNoWriMo today as I've been getting, but I still got over 1600.  I am getting there!  I am now on the down stretch.  I think. LOL. I noticed my writing seems to be slowing down.  I've been using my Midori TN that I got recently and I love it.  I'm seriously thinking of making it my TN for 2020!  We'll see how it goes closer to January. I try to get whatever I'm going to use set up in advance.  I'll decide soon.  For now, I wanted to share a picture of some of the goodies I put in there for decoration.  In the little clear pocket on the front, I have an Evernote sticker and a Starbucks hangtag from where I bought a gift card.  I thought they looked pretty good in there! Two obsessions together.  Evernote and Starbucks. :p   I have been using an undated daily planner insert in there and it's making me want to use it for my bujo for 2020.  I ordered the Midori weekly planner for it.  I might use it and then have two other notebooks in there for trackers and such.  I also might just use it for a on the go planner.  I haven't decided.  I have done a sample layout on a page from one of the blank TN inserts and it looks pretty cool.  I have a lot ot decide on!  For now, enjoy this my decorations.  The little thing in the middle is from the cool travel washi I got recently.
