Nissan Versa Note Feed

Busy me!

Today was busy and I still got my NaNo writing done.  I did my usual. Washing my hair and bed linen, putting away yesterday's laundry, etc.  Last night I was looking at Target's website to see if they had Christmas lights in yet. I have bought from them several times when my lights go out.  They didn't have any of the ones I usually get, so I looked around. Lowe's had them for $4 a box, but Home Depot had them for $3 a box. I decided I'd go with Home Depot.  I was going to do that tomorrow, but I checked today and saw that they were open until 8 pm and the curbside pickup was until 6. I bought six strands. I went to pick them up after a bit of a wait. The price was too good to pass up. I hope to get a few more strands in December if they still have them to store for future use.  Last year as I took the STILL WORKING lights off my tree, I plugged them in before wrapping them for storage and several of them no longer worked. WTF? UGH! So, if you remember, I tried to order some after the season last year but my order kept getting delayed and I finally had to just cancel the order.  These were available the same day and I got them myself! :p  Now when I put up my Yule tree I will have plenty of lights for it.

While I was out, I went by the car wash and gave Goontz a nice clean-up.  I also picked up one of those delicious KFC sammiches! :D I ate at the park before heading back home.  I still have to put the bed linen back on the bed, but other than that, I'm done for today.  The extra hour of sleep last night just made everything weird. Good old time change. BLEAH!

Friday fun with thrifting.....

So, I thought my friend and I were not going to thrift today. He had the day off and didn't mention it so I was settled in at my desk ready to spend the day on my Mac and write and just enjoy my day.  He had texted me earlier this morning and didn't mention going, so I thought that was that. He texted around 2 this afternoon and mentioned going. I really wanted to just stay at home, but I agreed to go.  I dressed and went out and washed off Goontz.  It's pollen season and my Goontz had a layer of yellow/green pollen all over.  I got that done and then waited for my friend.  He came and we went to Reidsville. He ate at Bojangles and then went to the Salvation Army store.  I found a Sony clock radio for $2, a pack of Post-it note page flags, (Well two packs), and a package of pretty napkins. Don't judge me! lol  We went to the Goodwill and I only found one item. It's a Jack o lantern metal candle holder that originally came from Bath and Body Works. It was very cute and caught my eye so I got it.

We then went to the Goodwill in Walkertown NC. I found a little purple jack o lantern candle holder in there.  I also found a very nice little cabinet/stand. Here is a picture.  It still has the letter stickers from where it was assembled and the price sticker.  It was only $8 and I am not sure where I'm going to put it, but it's in excellent condition. The drawer works well and the shelf is adjustable.

Point Blur_Apr162021_225035

It will be a nice addition to my house.  I just have to figure out where I'm going to use it!  We went to Mayodan after that and I only found two things.  A disk holder and a sleep mask.  The disk holder is a Fellows brand and it was for computer disks back in the day. It will be perfect to hold my specialty Starbucks cards.  I was going to search for one of these for that purpose and this one was there so I got it. It's in great shape, too! Speaking of Starbucks cards, several I ordered on eBay arrived today!  I was happy to get them. I only have one thing that I'm waiting on now and that is a Starbucks tumbler.  I saw it in-store when I went to the 'new' Starbucks in Greensboro and I knew I wanted it.  I decided to look on eBay. I knew I'd have to pay more for it, but I found one that was only a few dollars more with free shipping so that saves me trying to find it at the local Starbucks. :)

I forgot to mention that I found a Fossil purse at the Walkertown store but I had to pass it up as it was priced pretty high.  I was short on funds. My friend got the little cabinet for me. He would have gotten the purse too and let me pay him back for both, but I'm still doing monthly payments on the Docs! We went back to Reidsville before heading home and ate at Carmela's.

*CLUNK*

That is the noise I'm going to make in a bit!  I'm a tired pup!  What did I do? Why didn't I post yesterday? Well, let me tell you.  First of all, I fully planned to post yesterday.  It got late and I was behind and it was almost midnight before I got my clean bed linen back on my bed, so I didn't get to post here. Sorry about that.  I'll make up for it because I have things to share.

Yesterday, I did my usual things, I washed my hair, my bed linen, and put away the laundry I had washed the day before.  It was a lot. I also decided to order some Chinese from one of my favorite local places on DoorDash.  I had to wait almost an hour before an actual Dasher went to get my order, but once they got a Dasher on the case, it went pretty quickly.  She brought it and it was delicious! They have a section of their menu that has a 'combination dinner'. They have three. I get a certain one every time.  It's beef pepper steak, fried rice, and an egg roll. You also get a choice of wonton or egg drop soup.  I ADORE their wonton soup, so that is what I picked.  I asked for the egg roll to be left off just as I always do in the restaurant unless I'm with friends that want it.  They delivered!  The wonton soup was twice as much as you'd get eating in and the steak and rice were too. It was delicious and I didn't feel as bad paying the extra to have it delivered since I got so much food.  I enjoyed every bite! I haven't been in over a year because the friend I do stuff with all the time doesn't like Chinese food so I have to go with a different friend. Unfortunately, she is the one that is currently suffering from Covid, so she couldn't go!

Today, I wanted to just relax and do nothing, but that was not to be.  I really needed a few things at the grocery store. I was completely out of several things and I was about to be out of a few more.  I went ahead and got my groceries.  I got a ton of stuff so I should be set for a while.  I spent more than I planned, but I got a lot.  I also got some paper goods. (TP, paper towels, and tissues)  I am pretty set for the month. I do need to get some windshield wiper fluid but other than that, I think I'm set.  I ran over to the touchless car wash to give Goontz a bath.  After the wash, I went to the grocery tore and home.  I planned to stay in after that and recover. (LOL)  My friend texted and wanted to walk, so I gave in and said, ok.  We walked and it was nice, but I was tired and really didn't want to! :p  I took a  few pretty pictures to share, though.

Impromtu Thrift!

Yeah, there were absolutely no plans to thrift today.  My friend has been saying he'd put new tires on Goontz since we've driven it so much and it was needed new tires when he got it.  He took it today and got tires.  He then wanted me to drive it to see how it felt with the new tires.  That was nice.  I switched spots with him and we went by Wendy's for me to grab a bite to eat as it was past my lunchtime.  After that, we went to Cookout so he could get a shake.  He mentioned drying on the highway and said something about Eden, NC.  I said, how about Martinsville instead.  That is what we did.  We went to the Goodwill in Martinsville and the one in Bassett (just up the road about 10 minutes).  At the first GW, I found some Avery address labels new in the package, three packs of business card binder pages, (I use these for my Starbucks cards), a purple binder with some divider inserts already in there, a cute little canvas bag, and a plastic kitchen spoon!  That was a nice little haul.  We went to the Bassett one and I found a pair of Dr. Martens in my size that looked almost brand new.  They were $40 and I didn't have that much, so my friend got them and I'm going to pay him back $10 a month for the next four months. Cool!  They are pretty cool, they are a bit shiny and look either purple or burgundy.  Just depends on the lighting.  They are very cool and I've never had a pair of Docs.  Here they are:

PXL_20210325_004436520.MP

Cool, yes? My size, in great condition for a good price, and they are comfy!  I was very pleased to get them.  The only other thing I found in there was a puzzle.  I got it for .69¢. I really need to start working on puzzles again!  While we were out, we went by the car wash and washed Goontz.  Later, we took it by another car wash and I vacuumed it well.  My Goontz has new tires, is clean inside and out and I'm pleased! ^_^

Here is the cute little bag. It has blueberries on it! It has a tag that says, "Stonewall Kitchen" in it.  I just thought it adorable and had to have it. It rang up a whole .99¢!

Impromptu thrift trips are fun!  In other news, my set of Styluses that I ordered from Amazon came today.  I also received my order from eBay of two DS games. One is Scribblenauts and one is an Adventure Time game! YAY! The AT game is, "Hey Ice King! Why Did You Steal Our Garbage??!" :p

Thrifting, yes, big haul, no.

We did a thrift trip today. We went to Reidsville to Salvation Army and Goodwill. I didn't buy anything in SA, but I found a cool Starbucks tumbler from 2006 in Goodwill! :) I add pictures at the end of this post.  From there, we went to the little restaurant we found on Friday in Stokesdale and ate.  When then went to the Goodwill in Mayodan. I found a box of Rolodex cards that fit the little Rolodex I bought Friday. It has 1000 in it, so I should not run out anytime soon! :p That was a whole dollar, too! We left there and headed to Eden.  Since we were in Eden, we stopped by the Goodwill there. There were two Sak bags and a Fossil wallet. I didn't get any of those though as I was already low on cash and I couldn't see spending that much.  The bags were nice but not really my style. The wallet I would have gotten just because it was Fossil. It really wasn't one I would use.  The only thing I bought in there was a set of whiteboard markers.  I never seem to have a working whiteboard marker when I need it.  This was a pack of ten with some cool colors other than the usual blue, green, red, and black. :) It was a decent little trip and my friend was nice enough to fill my car up when we got back since we've taken two thrifting trips since I filled it up recently. :)

I just realized that you can see Homer going, "Whoo Hoo!" in the background. He must like my tumbler. :p

UGH!

I went to print something tonight and my printer wasn't working.  I went in to try and fix it and now it won't connect to my network. ~_~;;;;;  I have done troubleshooting and nothing. I CAN print if I have the printer connected via USB but that defeats the purpose of a wireless printer. I will mess with it again tomorrow. I've spent far too much time on it tonight when I had other things I wanted to be doing!  Let's hope I can clear it up.  It is so frustrating when stuff like this happens.

I didn't do a lot today since I'm still under the weather.  I did go to the car wash and then to the gas station to fill up Goontz!  I went by Starbucks while I was out ad had a Blonde honey almond milk flat white! lol That is fun to order, let me tell you! :P I'm going to write for a bit and then relax.  I wrote earlier, so I just want to add more words. I'm going to try one more thing that was suggested and that was to re-start my router. I wanted to post this before I did that!  Wish me luck!

SPOILER: IT WORKED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :P

Thrifting trip!

So, my friend texted today and was going to head home early for work as he had a package coming to his house and there was the one coming to my house.  He was able to get the one that was coming to my house at the hub.  He wanted to know if I wanted to go eat, I did!  I am glad I did because if not, I would not have seen much snow.  We did our full thrift trip. Reidsville, Eden, and Martinsville.  I got a lot of stuff. I actually wrote a list. lol Here it is:

Thrift trip goodies

  • Canon Selphy Printer
  • French coffee press
  • milk frother
  • backpack
  • stainless water bottle
  • candle
  • jack o lantern that is a lantern lol
  • three coffee themed mugs
  • stainless steel straws
  • jack o lantern votive holder with candle
  • iPad Mini case
  • Relic wallet with a dime in it. :p
  • Envelopes
  • burger stack salt and pepper shakers
  • 1 snowman shaker
  • colorful jingle bell wreath with snowmen
  • metal colorful decorative tree
  • A book on aromatherapy
  • phone case looks like Gameboy
  • metal tape measure
  • brass looking little tree with colorful bells as ornaments
  • Halloween stickers
It was a good haul!  The Canon Selphy is a photo printer and it looks like it has everything except the CD to install the drivers to the computer.  I am pretty sure you can print straight from the printer as it has slots of SD cards and such.  I am not going to try to use it tonight as I'm very tired. I was going to install it on the MacBook Pro, but the software that I was able to find online was too old.  I'll see tomorrow if I can print from the actual printer.  The box included photo paper and cartridges.

The French coffee press was brand new in the box. I have wanted one for a while now.  The milk frother was a whole.25¢!  The backpack was sturdy and nice, the water bottle was brand new, too.  I looked up a few of the things I got and found that I made some damn good deals!  It was a nice haul for sure. :)   Here are a few snow pictures I took in Martinsville. They got a lot more snow than we did!

Thrifting!

So, I went thrifting yesterday with my friend.  We did our usual circuit. Reidsville, Eden, and Martinsville.  I didn't get a lot of stuff, but I got a few fun things.  I found three different jack o' lanterns, (one was a stack and it was still in the box!), I got a cute Hallmark branded snowman dish, a snowman soap, he was so strange looking I felt sorry for him and felt he needed a home. I got a coupon organizer pouch thing, a pouch with a galaxy print (an Ipsy pouch), a cupcake mug, a wireless keyboard, etc.  I found a vintage puzzle still in the box sealed!  I also got this little snowman thing.  It's a snowman that sits in a glass and it's supposed to have a floating thing that you float on top after filling it with water and a layer of oil and light a wick. The floaty thing and the winks are missing, but the snowman in the glass is cute and it came in its original box from 1979. Nifty!  I think that is everything except a little organizer box for Zip disks. Now that is a blast from the past!  It was new with the plastic still on it. I didn't need it, but I got it anyway.  I feel like I'm forgetting something.

When I got home, I checked online to see if I could get some blue lights somewhere while they are having after the holiday sales.  Target was out as I had already seen.  I checked Lowes and they had some and they were half price!  They weren't available to pick up in-store, but they were available for shipping.  I went ahead and got six strands.  I'll have an extra just in case.  Also, these are a different brand than the ones I always get at Target.  I hope they last longer, but we'll see!

As of now, I've done all my regular Sunday things.  The only thing left is to put the bed linen back on the bed.  I went to the grocery store to pick up a few things that they were out of when I went last week.  I also needed a few other things. I got the other things, but they were still out of the two things I needed. D'oh!  That is so weird.  They are either not getting stock because of Covid, or the stockers just aren't filling the shelves.  Hopefully I'll get the things I need soon.

For now, I am going to put the linens back on the bed and then write. I wrote a good bit two days ago. I didn't write last night and I am really wanting to get some writing done tonight.  Bed linen and then writing!  One more thing.  I took a picture of my 'new' Fossil bag in my car the other day.  It's so pretty in natural light.  My Fossil bag sitting in my Goontz. :p

Goodbye 2020!

I crashed early and hard last night and I needed it.  I was thinking about things before bed and realized that I had stopped setting up my 2021 bullet journal some time back. D'oh!!!!!!  Today, I looked and the things I would use immediately are there.  I still need to add a "21 in 2021" tracker, my NaNoWriMo tracker(s), beach bingo, and some other things I wanted to add. I went ahead and got the first two months done, though!  I have my January habit tracker,  February habit tracker, and I have the weeklies for those months.  I'm adding something new this year.  On the page after the last week of the month, I'm doing a monthly recap page to add anything I want to remember. I can write stuff or glue in things for memories.  I think it will be a nice addition.  I decided to go with a printed habit tracker to save time this year. I found the one I had downloaded several years ago and looked it over.  It didn't have enough lines for all the things I track, so I made a copy of it and then cut part of the bottom off and taped it to the tracker.  This way I added a few lines. Then, I made a copy of that. I went ahead and printed out a year's worth of them and I have the taped one I made to use if I want to make more, or I can just use a blank one I printed. I printed an extra just in case.  I always loved this habit tracker and I really wanted to use it but I track more things than I did when I started.  This way, I can still use this cute tracker and track more. This is going to save me SO much time going forward!

I started my actual pages further into the Leuchtturm too.  I hope to use up all my pages this time!  I always have some pages left. I don't want to have that this time.  I'm sorry I didn't post the last two days. I just got to doing things and never got around to it.  I'm going to try my best to post to my blog every day in 2021!  I don't know if I can do it, but I'm going to try my best. I also plan to get my pen pal letters written and stay caught up with them.  Yes, I STILL haven't written any.  2020 has just not been the best year.  Yes, some good things have happened to me, my friend got me Goontz and my 15" MacBook Pro, but the rest of the year was pretty nasty.  My hope is that 2021 is a wonderful year.  Let's hope that we are able to defeat Covid-19 and try to get our lives back to normal!

Snow!

It actually snowed here today for a little bit.  It was mainly snow flurries, but it was pretty.  I enjoyed watching it for the short time it happened.  I hope we actually get a decent snow event this year.  We probably won't, but it would be nice!  I had to run an errand today and it was pretty darn chilly out there. I found out that the heater on my car works great!  I had never really had to use it before. The air worked well all summer, so I was hoping the heat would too and it does. Yay! One bright spot in my dreary life.

I got a little writing done today but it was sort of meh. I want to try to work on it some more before bedtime so after posting this, I'll go and do that.  I want to get to the exciting part! I could write it ahead of time since I'm working in Scrivener, but I'm trying to write in order.  We'll see how well that goes. :p

This day is loooong and it's not over yet!

My internal hard drive came today.  I unpacked it and opened the Macbook Pro and pulled out the old drive.  Then, I found that I had to get the screws from the sides of the drive to put in the new one to securely mount it.  I, of course, didn't have the right screwdriver!  I looked online and Lowe's had one that was a multi head one and it was only $10 so I left the computer and ran over there and got it. Easy peasy getting those little screws out then and I have a tool for future use!

I get the new drive in and turn on the computer to do the disk copy.  Well, disk utility is being snarky. I look up information and see it's a glitch with Disk utility in Catalina that causes this and to go get a clone software.  Oh no! I thought, more money.  I found Carbon Copy Clone and it has a free trial. It's a fully functioning trial, In other words, you can do everything as if it's the full version. YES! Thank you, CCC!  If I ever need you again I'll be happy to purchase the full version.  I'm currently in the process of copying the external to the new internal and I'm hoping that goes well. It took some doing to even get everything to start but it seems to be rolling along now.

While I that is running in the background, my mail lady came. (The hard drive came via UPS) My new tags for my car came! YAY!!!!!!!!  I went out to put the back one on and I was NOT going to put the new tag in the damn front window so I got some tools and sat down and worked on getting the tag holder on the front. I had to go slowly and work diligently so that I didn't mess up my bumper.  I also had to bring something outside to sit on because the ground is still wet and pretty saturated from all the rains.  I got the little holder on and then I went and found (after a search)  the screws to attach the plate to the holder.  I had put them in the little compartment in the new car in a Ziploc but of course, I had forgotten ALL about that.  I finally remembered and put my tag on.  I now have a car with front and back tags.  I'm so proud of myself.  My friend kept saying he was going to do it but it's been since July, so...

I went out earlier before I knew I needed a screwdriver.  I knew via informed delivery that my new tags were coming today and I wanted to take my car over to Starbucks one more time with the STARBUX tags.  I got a Peppermint white mocha (delicious) and I took a picture of the car with the tags and Starbucks in the background.  I'm silly, I know but I don't care!

Of course with all the stuff I've been doing, I haven't written for NaNoWriMo yet.  I guess I'll be writing later this evening.  That isn't a problem at all.  I really want to work on my other story too, but NaNo work comes first!  The video I watched to make sure I was removing and installing the drive correctly gave links to the things he used.  He has a little 'case' to put the internal drive in to make it run like an external. I ordered one hoping I can access the drive.  I don't think I will be able to, but you never know! I'm hoping.

Here are the pictures I took at Starbucks. :)

If you are wondering what the little blob is in the first picture on the upper right, it's LSP from Adventure Time! Oh, My Glob! lol

Sunday not so funday!

Hoo boy am I tired. I'm sorry for not posting the last two days.  I didn't get a chance to do any pictures of my TN's either as it's been overcast and rainy.  Hopefully, we'll get a dry, sunny day soon!  I got so much done today.  I put away a load of laundry I washed yesterday, I put away a sink full of dishes I washed two days ago, I wash my hair and I washed my bed linen.  I just need to put it back on the bed. I was going to do that and then post, but I knew I'd end up forgetting or running out of time, so I'm posting first!

Yesterday, when I went out, I noticed a light on my dash. I was showing my back right tire was low.  I went and got air in it. It was the same one that did that right before the beach trip in September.  I filled it and went ab0ut my business. I needed to run an errand for a friend later and it was on again.  I put some more air in.  I guess it must have a leak or a hole.  I had to run out today and noticed it was as low as it was yesterday when I started so I put air in it. I'm hoping to get it patched or replaced asap.  It is so frustrating. Having to worry and do maintenance every time I used my car was something I was glad to give up when I got this car. My friend did say that it would need a set of tires before too long when he got it for me, so I guess it is going to be time!

I am going to put my linens back on my bed. I can't wait.  I haven't sleep well this past week and I'm hoping that fresh, clean, bedlinen will help!  I have been trying to figure out what I'm doing for NaNo this year.  I can either do another book in the zombie series, book two of my ice skaters series, or something new and completely different.  I can't make up my mind and I need to hurry up so I can prep! Ahhhh!

Letters and lattes...

Well, letters, no lattes. Phooey!  I got all of my pen pal letters written today and mailed!  Whoo hoo! I'm so glad to have them done.  I got only one at the post office, so I'm now all caught up and have a new one.  It was a good thing to get them all done.  I went to the car wash while out and washed my car.  It needed a fresh wash.  I was going to do it here, but since I was already out, I went ahead and got it done.  I was tempted to go to Starbucks, but I was good and didn't go.

When I was in the car wash, I took a picture of the pretty rainbow foam.  I always call it unicorn pee. :p. It's pretty, but this time it didn't go on very thick.

MVIMG_20200905_155817

Exciting, isn't it? :p

Another Leuchtturm 1917? Yes!

I have my notebook for my 2021 bullet journal and it's a Leuchtturm1917!  This is my fourth one.  It's yellow and it's so pretty.  I will probably add a decal or sticker to the front at some point.  This years I had already planned the decal for it.  It was a Myrtle Beach one that matched the cover.  I will look to see if I can find a cute decal when we go to the beach next month. If not, I'll use a sticker.  I got a little packet of Adventure Time stickers in the mail yesterday.  They came in with the order where I ordered the Leuchtturm.  I also ordered a few more things that arrived yesterday.  The last item in that order was supposed to come today, but it didn't.  Hopefully, it will come tomorrow.  It's a passport size TN. ^^: Yes, I know I don't need any more TNs! ;p

An eBay item that I ordered last week came today, too.  My Note has all four of the Nissan hubcaps on it, but the front driver side one had broken pieces and it's cracked in places. I was able to find one on eBay and ordered it. It finally came today.  I was able to put it on after some fun of trying to get it on. LOL, The old one was easy to get off, the new one took me a bit but it's on.  Now my wheels all look good.

The next thing I want to get for the Note is the cargo cover.  I don't know why they don't have that included when you buy the car. I've seen other people mention this, so I don't think this one is just missing one from a previous owner.  The cargo cover (Nissan branded) is a bit over $100 so I am going to keep looking. I'm hoping to find one for a much, much lower price!

Here is the newest Leuchtturm.  I can't wait to set it up and hope that 2021 is much better than this crazy year!
